    Rams running back Trey Watts, an undrafted free agent who made the team in 2014 and who appeared in 14 games last season, has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.

    The NFL announced the suspension on Friday.

    Watts, the son of former Oklahoma quarterback and Congressman J.C. Watts, played college football at Tulsa. He gained 30 yards on seven carries as a rookie.

    Watts is eligible to continue to participate in all offseason activities, training camp, and the preseason. The suspension begins after the fourth preseason game.

    Bryce Hager played some RB last year. He might even be able to play some FB.

    14 carries for 59 yards.

    I’m not condoning the use of PEDs but using them to make the Rams? Making the Seahawks or Cheatriots makes more sense given their success in recent years. But the Rams? And what was mentioned before it seems like it is every year a Rams player is caught.

    The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

    Yes, my mistake. Getting high keeps one above the PED fueled on the field fray.

    You know this is interesting.

    Watts is out 4 games and they traded Stacy. No one knows how soon Gurley will be 100% good to go.

    Yet…the Rams RB situation is as good as it has been in years.

    Mason, Cunningham. Maybe Pead, if necessary? Brown, perhaps.

    That’s before getting Watts back (if he comes back) and before Gurley Gets Going.

    When was the last time it was like this? Meaning, depth at RB. Not just having Faulk or Jackson.
