I hope Carroll and the organization take at least a decade to recover from what has to be the stupidest play ever called to determine a Super Bowl and the most pathetic loss ever in a Super Bowl. Looked like a carbon copy of a Rams recent loss.

The upside to being a Rams fan is heartbreak.

    Sprinkles are for winners.

    Sadly, I doubt it.

We lost to NE, but that wasn’t what doomed us to a decade of futility. That was due to FO ineptitude.

Tragically for Ram fans, SEA has a superb FO. That GM of theirs is a wizard. There is no reason to imagine that they won’t keep channeling talent for a long time.

By virtue of the absurd ...

    It could be though.

    If it eats at them.

Rams still had the talent in 2002, even with Kurt hurting. But the team kind of couldn’t get over the loss, I think.

A LOT will depend on that Wilson contract, its structure and the contracts of guys like Russell Okung next year.

Their contract situation is a mine field. If they don’t keep drafting at a really high level, that franchise will be really hard pressed to maintain their level of play.

Seriously, if we can get our QB and OL situations worked out, this is our time.

Sports is the crucible of human virtue. The distillate remains are human vice.

    See the Wilson contract thread.

Their situation is not as dire with the Wilson contract and the cap as we would like.

Or at least I can make a case for that.
