Here’s one. Having lived in Louisiana, I get very irritated by restaurants that think red beans and rice–one of the greatest human inventions–is made with kidney beans. No, it is made with red beans. Making red beans and rice with kidney beans would be like making chili with lima beans.
For those who don’t know the difference (bless your poor soul if you’re one of them), here the red beans are on the left and kidney beans on the right.
