Stafford, 30 TDs and 2 Ints on the season.

Great first half, they were on fire.

When Mayfield went out though, Tampa had nuthin, and Rams took their foot off the gas.

Can’t complain. Rams beat a tie-breaker team that had beaten both Seattle and SF, and Dallas beat the Eagles. So #1 seed right now. Keep it, Rams.

yeah. i was hoping for another td in the second half. maybe a long drive with a lot of kyren williams ending in a decisive td. but the buccaneers’ spirit had been killed anyway. so it’s all good.

The first half was as good a half of football as they’ve played in a long, long time. Dominated on both sides of the ball. That was fun. I knew they would run Williams more in the 2nd half, but I was certainly hoping to see Stafford get another TD and break the record.

-This might be a strange comment, but I was excited to see the Mevis’s 2 field goals. I wonder if Karty would experience similar success with McQuaide back at LS.

    – McClendon might actually be a long term solution at RT. I had NBC muted as I was listening to the Rams radio broadcast while watching, but I saw that at one point it looked like Collinsworth and Tirico may have been talking about McClendon’s play. Anyone catch that?

    – Forbes is on a bit of a heater right now.

    – Good to see some sacks again.

    – Rams didn’t have much of an answer for Vita Vea. The running game looked a little stagnant.

    – I have a couple of other complaints, but the Rams won by 27.

I was expecting the Rams to have a bit of a let-down after the Seattle game.

And sure enough, they came out flat and only won by 27.

You guys should listen to me more.

Panthers, Cards, Lions, Seahawks, up next. Carolina now tied with the Bucs at 6-5.

And Game Ball to Decobie Durant, btw. He made the highlight reels a couple of times.

And the secondary – all around – has just consistently outperformed expectations. I sure hope Lake and Witherspoon get back to game speed by the playoffs. As canadaram mentioned, Forbes is steadily turning into the player that WA thought they were drafting in the first round.

I kind of half-listen to announcers, and Collinsworth’s voice sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard to me, but I think what they said was standard-issue stuff. They noted McClendon was holding down the spot on the line just fine, and that he might be the future starter at RT.

This stretch of games – 49ers, SEA, and TB – looked like a significant testing ground as the team hit the bye week. Well… looks good! You look at the rest of the schedule, and a #1 seed seems like a reasonable hope. The Seahawks and Lions loom as the only playoff-caliber teams ahead, and the Lions have been pretty rocky this season. Either or both of those teams could beat the Rams, but I can’t really see Carolina, Arizona, or Atlanta putting up more points than the Rams. The Rams look like a 14-3 team to me (unless they start the J-V team against AZ in Week 18, and even then…).

Davante Adams leads NFL in TD receptions with 12.
Puka in a 3-way tie with lead in total receptions: 80 (tied with JSN, and Trey Mcbride)

i’m glad to read about mcclendon. right tackle was a big worry for me going into next year. this should be a good audition for the rest of the season. especially with playoffs and a possible superbowl run on the line.

Warren McClendon is the future at RT for the #RAMS.

    34 snaps & 0 Pressures

    Me (@”me.com”):
Of course that was against Tampa, which couldn’t get any pressure on Stafford. It’s a good start but bigger tests are coming.

Good reactions from all. I was happy to be able to watch them, and see them dominant for at least a half. The right half, too. Roaring out to a big lead early is better for my health than come from behind victories. Macro case is better too. Sitting on top of the standings now as opposed to needing the last game of the year to make the playoffs, etc.

They’re clicking on all cylinders, as the cliche goes. The only thing missing is more touchdowns for Puka.
