I was in chat with JoeMad, who was on his phone live at the game. That was nice. First time that has happened.

    Rams dominer-ated.

Stafford with gaudy numbers, Wms over 100 rushing.

    Beating a one-win team that’s using a rookie backup-level QB, at home….is a good thing. Good work.

    Rams had no turnovers.

…i do wonder about the non-call though.

    Big win.

Ferguson’s attributes shone through on his one first quarter when he got by Justin Reid. Hope to see more and more of him. Kyren was a workhorse today and Corum still managed to have a productive day anyway.

That roughing the passer call on Young gets called 100% of the time. That combined with the continued problems in the kicking game gave me an uneasy feeling to end the half. A good team might be able to take advantage of those problems. Speaking of which, why are the problems with the kicking game seemingly impossible to solve?

They’re 6-2, so that’s good. The Niners looked good today.

It was nice watching a Rams game where I wasn’t worried about the outcome for a change.

Very machine-like dismantling of a hapless opponent.

Rams have not had any elite Tight Ends in their modern history. One wonders whether Tyler Higbee would be considered the ‘best’ alltime Ram tight end? He leads in catches, fwiw.

    Catches
    Higbee 374
    Lance Kendricks 204
    Billy Truax 180
    Ernie Cromwell 146
    Jared Cook 142

Interesting thing about the receptions today.

Out of 24 catches, Adams and Nacua had 12 of them. Of other WRs, Smith had 2. All the other catches (10 total) went to TEs.

No other WRs, just the big 2 and then some from Smith. No other WR.

Then all 4 TEs with catches. No RB catches.

Stafford now leading the NFL with 21 TDs. Herbert next at 18. Five QBs with 17.

AS of Nov3, Rams draft order: No.11 and no.27.

Saints have the first pick as of now.

As with most games so far this season, I was working on a kitchen remodel with the laptop flipped open somewhere, but I didn’t feel bad about not giving this one my full attention. The Rams blew their doors off, and it could have been worse if they hadn’t pulled back. Long sustained drives ending with scores. That’s just how that is.

Nate Landman is a difference-maker. When opportunity presents itself, he strikes.

I streamed some LA station after the game, and they were expecting Karty to get released today. I don’t know if we are quite there yet, but the ice sheet under him is melting.

From what I saw, that whole unit is a problem, it’s not just Karty. On the missed FG there was both penetration from the outside and a leaping blocker at the line, and he tried and failed to kick around the interference, which of course was a doomed effort.

I would like to see someone explain why that unit is such a mess. And again it’s not just Karty.

I’ve been reading lately that the 2026 QB class does not have top-tier talent.

What do the Rams do about their QB situation next year?

Do they just keep signing Stafford to one year deals, and hope for the best?

From what you guys are saying, the Rams dominated, which is great. Hope Nacua is okay. Chest/ribs would logically make it tougher to high point the ball. He plays his heart out, and that’s going to draw some pain.

Anyway, the Rams look good at this stage of the season. Lots to feel good about.

    Yeah.

Time of possession, 16:07 to 43:53.

I’m wondering why nobody is pointing the finger at the ST coach.

it’s the worst kicking game i’ve ever seen?

so bad i think it’ll prevent the rams from going deep in the playoffs.

and how do you even fix that in the middle of a season?

They’ve suffered worse kickers. 2 or 3 years ago, they had a bartender kicking for a bit.

The blocking on place kicks is bad. I can’t think of a unit that gave up more pressure on kicks.

Otherwise…Karty isn’t terrible. He’s not great. I’m not sure he’s even “good.” He’s adequate. He’s very good at kickoffs. And the punting game is fine, and the return units are fine.

The biggest problem seems to me to be blocking on field goals.

yes which is why i say the kicking game as a whole. it’s not just karty. he’s not the main culprit. just as a whole they cannot get it together. if it was just the kicker, i’d see some way out of it. but the problem is pervasive.

How many have they had blocked now? Two, three, four?

Karty is ranked 37, btw. 67 percent.
He’s 35th in extra point percentage. 88 percent. Missed 3.

    49ers kicker is 19 for 19, btw.
