The Rams only allowed four pressures in the [Giants] game but Stafford was taken down for a sack four times. The O-line was only credited with one of those sacks allowed because most came on blitzes, but the communication up front needs to be better.

He has 145 tackles this year, and that’s with missing one game. Incredible bit of NFL Research: @RamsNFL RB @Kyrenwilliams23 is on pace to be the only player in history to miss 4+ games & still finish in the top 2 in rushing yards. The only player to miss more games & finish top 3 was Bull Karcis (5) with the 1937 Pittsburgh… PIRATES.

Olsen was in 14 consecutive pro bowls, from 1962 to 1975. Joe Greene was in 11, 1969-1970.

Not that’s a big deal at all but we both read it wrong IR! We missed on “since 1970” which apparently means drafted since 1970. This tweet is a little more clear:Los Angeles Rams PR@TheLARamsPR
DT Aaron Donald was selected to his 10th career Pro Bowl and is the only defensive lineman since 1970 to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first 10 seasons. He joins Pro Football Hall of Famers Reggie White (13) and Bruce Smith (11) as the only defensive linemen since 1970 with 10 Pro Bowl selectionsJanuary 5, 2024 at 9:56 am #148318InvaderRamModeratorLos Angeles Rams PR@TheLARamsPR DT Aaron Donald was selected to his 10th career Pro Bowl and is the only defensive lineman since 1970 to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first 10 seasons. ok. my question still stands though. who was the last player before donald to make the pro bowl in each of their first ten seasons?
January 5, 2024 at 10:18 am #148320Billy_TParticipantHaven’t looked this up online, at least not in several years:
All-Pro is different than Pro Bowl, and the former is the greater honor, if memory serves. Ten in a row for All-Pro is/was incredibly rare, in any era. Also just winging it, but I’d bet any player who gets to ten (total) gets to the HOF, too. Automatic, basically. Guessing they don’t even need ten. Five or more gives them a good shot.

I don’t know the last player who did but the last 2 DL who did were White and Smith (last year for both was 98).

Merlin Olsen.
January 5, 2024 at 11:01 am #148325znModeratorThere ya go Zooey. The “to start career” detail helps.
January 5, 2024 at 11:01 am #148326ZooeyModeratorHere is the link to the source.
Reggie White didn’t make it his first season. He made it 13 straight times beginning his 2nd season.
From the Pro Football Hall of Fame site:
White, who spent two seasons in the ill-fated United States Football League, made a memorable debut in the National Football League with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 of the 1985 season. He collected 2.5 sacks, and deflected a pass that was intercepted and returned for touchdown. Despite the fact he played in only 13 games that season, White tied for the team lead with 13 sacks and was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year. The following season, White picked up 18 more sacks to earn his first of an astounding 13 straight Pro Bowl trips.
Bruce Smith was drafted in 1985. He went to the Pro Bowl every season from 1987-1998, with the exception of 1991 when he played only 5 games due to injuries.
So Aaron Donald is behind only Merlin Olsen, and owns Smith and White.

Yeah I was missing on the “first seasons” detail.
January 5, 2024 at 1:52 pm #148334Billy_TParticipantMerlin was the man. A true gentle giant. But I’m really surprised that Lou Creekmur isn’t at the top of the list. I mean, who has ever been more revered in the history of the NFL than Lou “Muddy” Creekmur?
