In his last six games, Akers has 75 carries for 175 yards, averaging 2.3 ypc. He’s averaged 2.0 ypc or less in four of those games.
It is possible that Cam Akers isn’t in Sean McVay’s ‘dog house’, but instead McVay saw Akers’ ineffectiveness since coming in at the end of last season and just prefers Henderson?

Rams head coach Sean McVay said they’re still taking things “a week at a time” with WR Van Jefferson (knee)

    Rampage2K-

    after watching the All 22…..

ok, I’m gonna chalk this one up to not playing ANYBODY in preseason…..

This team just didn’t look ready or in sync at all….OL was just slow af compared to Bills DL, Stafford was making poor reads and decisions, RB’s not seeing the right holes, just a mess in general across the board including game plan and play calls. Robinson was open several times btw

Defense wasn’t much better…Bills simply took what we gave them with a dink and dunk offense 95% of the time….. Ramsey was picked on, Donald was nullified and Wagner looked slow and was a nonfactor….Not what you want to see from our big 3 on defense.

I only watched about one and a half quarters, so this isn’t a full game report, but I couldn’t take it anymore…..and it only got worse in the second halfbanghead

I’m expecting a much sharper and focused team on Sunday

    Week 1 Grade: D+

Coordinators – Raheem Morris & Joe DeCamillis

Raheem Morris failed to make an adjustment quick enough. Buffalo picked apart the Los Angeles defense with short passes. When LA finally went with one high safety, Buffalo connected on an explosive play to Gabriel Davis. Hopefully, McVay and Morris realize that opposing offenses will do this early in games and learn to counter with tighter zone coverage or linebacker blitzes to move the quarterback off his spot.

DeCamillis has stability at the kicker and punter positions. But punt coverage and kickoff returns need work.

Ernest Jones played 34 of 59 snaps (58%) and he paced the entire team in PFF grades. Not to mention, Ernest Jones was the #1 ranked ILB in the NFL after Week 1. There were no significant splash plays that he made, but his run defense grade was 93.8, which is a fantastic sign for the “sophomore” linebacker. Hopefully, the Rams find a way to use Jones in more “two-backer” sets within a nickel defense that plays quarters coverage.

Obviously, the #49ers are pleased to avoid seeing Russell Wilson on the Seahawks but safe to say they won’t miss Bobby Wagner either. In 20 regular season games against SF, Wagner had 110 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 INT, 15 PBUs, 2 FR, 1 FF. Of course, they still get to see him vs. LAR.
