I can see the postgame storyline already:

“The Bengals played that preseason game like it was the Super Bowl”

From PFF, Most underrated player on all 32 NFL teams: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-most-underrated-player-32-nfl-teams-2022#LAR

LOS ANGELES RAMS: DI AARON DONALD

Yes, you read that right. No matter how good you believe Donald to be, chances are the data says he’s better. Donald is redefining pass rushing from an interior alignment. Edge rushers generate significantly more pressure than their interior counterparts. They may have further to travel to get the pressure, but they have more space to work with and much more of their rush takes place out of the quarterback’s field of vision. Donald doesn’t just rival any edge rusher in the league for pressure, he exceeds them all. Over the past three seasons, Donald leads all pass-rushers in pressures by 32 from the next best mark. He has a pass-rush win rate of 23.2%, which is also the best mark in the league. Donald is the best pass-rusher the NFL has seen over the past 16 seasons of PFF grading and is in another world compared to any player at his position.

    PARAM

Here’s the percentage of games decided by 3 points/7 points or less the last 8 years.

    2014: 20.7% / 38.3%
    2015: 23.0% / 51.2%
    2016: 24.2% / 52.7%
    2017: 21.1% / 43.4%
    2018: 28.5% / 48.8%
    2019: 19.9% / 48.0%
    2020: 23.1% / 47.7%
    2021: 23.2% / 42.6%

The last 4 years the average is 23.7% and 46.8%. That’s incredibly close. “It’s a QB driven league” was never more true than the last 7 years. You not only need somebody with talent under center but with nerves of steel. The Rams have that in Stafford.

yeah. he’s one of one. that’s used way too often, but it fits donald. he’s right up there with lawrence taylor for defensive players. best of his generation, and he’s not even done yet.

in terms of just being a sports fan, it’s been one of the great privileges to watch him play over the years.

Per source update regarding OBJ and the @RamsNFL: “His recovery is going well. Timetable is more optimistic. He thinks he will be back in November to play against the Saints. Rams target for him is Broncos. Rams contract is also based on that. I’m sure they’ll bridge the gap.”

    That is a 35-day difference.

    November 20 vs. December 25.

8 regular season games vs. 3 regular season games.

That’s not a small gap to bridge when you’re talking about money.

So Kelly Stafford responds to this

And now…oh, no…Rodgers has circled the Rams game on his calendar.

Addendum: Apparently, Kelly didn’t even directly respond to Rodgers.

Addendum 2: Some people claim this is all bogus. Forgery of some kind.

    Anyway, how ’bout those Rams?

This bugs me almost as much as the physically and logically impossible “center around.”

Easy rule of thumb. You wouldn’t say “You just don’t see players like I very much in this league,” so just remove ‘Kirk’ from that and try again.

Add that to his lying and extreme selfishness regarding Covid, and I’m not impressed.

Hopefully, it is just a “forgery,” though, cuz it aint coshar, ever way.

I gotta say that the first thing that set off my BS meter (and I haven’t “looked into this” to see if it IS real or not) is that the original comment places Cousins in the same zip code as Rodgers.

#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers doesn’t hold back in response to Kelly Stafford, wife of #Rams and former #Lions QB Matt Stafford.  Who’s side are you on?

That cant be real.  Rogers did not really type that.

I think it would have made legitimate news media within an hour or two if this was real. People who fill the sports airwaves 24 hours a day have to talk about something, and this would have been mentioned.
