I would totally take a RB, if a real talent falls to them.

    Can never have enough weapons.

The Rams could look to select a wideout in the later rounds of the 2022 NFL draft

I’d be pissed if we draft a WR in this draft. After spending it on a ton of WRs, last years draft. Especially on a possible bust, in Tutu Atwell, which most know the pick should have been on Creed Humphrey.

This is going to be one of the strangest Drafts I can remember. There is no consensus as to who the top players are at just about every position. Team A’s 4th corner could be Team B’s 1st etc, etc. going to be fun to watch

I’ll have my 7 round NFL mock up, hopefully tomorrow, if not, then Monday. I’m still working on it. Of course, I have to do it, without trades.

Hopefully, you got to see my 7 round NFL mock draft, and talk about it

Landed in Vegas for the Draft (with our set looking awesome at the Bellagio fountains). Thoughts: — Weirdest Top 10 in recent memory. No consensus. — Players will go in Round 1 that teams have as 3rd rounders & vice versa. — “How many QBs go before us” is asked 10 times a day.

I just know some poor soul(s) are going to stay up nice and late on Friday night to watch the Rams make their first pick in the draft at the end of the 3rd round, only for the Rams to trade out of the 3rd round altogether.

Why do the @RamsNFL trust their ability to target later round #Draft talent? IMHO, football IQ is demanded and what’s seen on tape don’t lie. Physical measurements are used ONLY to confirm the above.

Takeaways from Snead/McVay today… – Rams have “pod” of players they’re interested in at 104; open to moving back if enough of them available at pick point and consensus isn’t way higher on one vs. group. – Would like to add more picks to current 8 – Snead believes draft is
    .
“relatively deep” in intersection between players who fit needs and also players they just like – Interesting insight: When they set board, they don’t grade by rounds. They grade as players in roles. (https://theathletic.com/3120863/2022/02/10/wake-up-sprinting-dont-be-scared-inside-the-ultra-aggressive-interdependent-rams-team-build-ecosystem/

) – Elevated importance toward personal traits in later

    .
rounds bc depending on position, those players will be asked to do more, earlier (S, CB for example) – “Les is the basket case now, I’m the basket case during the season.” – McVay – Rams’ process engineered to not let bias “from desperation of need” to “blur” line between BPA
    .
(which I take to mean early-pick WRs/TEs and RBs are probably on the table, depending on the player’s skill set and whether a player they rank pretty high falls for some reason). – “Four or five positions” from which they’d want to pick at 104 if they stay there

    more:

From Snead and McVay, sort of a given based on history but they aren’t going to hesitate to be active in trading back if there is a cluster of players they like at a certain pick point. Rams have 8 picks now and would expect to add a couple more.

The real blockbuster of the offseason.

This is the only tweet/vid I have seen that was posted by 3 different people, each in a different thread.

Not complaining. Having a new record is something to be proud of.

    Really?

    Sure sounds like you’re complaining.

I know the wounds from the trade of Russell Wilson and release of Bobby Wagner still sting, but sheesh, man.  Lighten up a little.

Hoping Rams take Zyon McCollum (CB) at 104, if he’s there. If Nick Cross (S) falls into their lap, I’d take him instead. McCollum is more likely to be there than Cross, though.

I really want the Rams to get faster and more athletic on D. Everywhere, really. But especially at D. McCollum is one of those athletic “freaks,” with excellent size for a corner. Cross has 4.3 speed as well. And they need a corner, safety, edge this draft. Guard, center, too. DT is also a need. Noah Ellis should be there late. Hogmolly. Space-eater. Should help free up Donald and the linebackers to do more. He’s in the 360 pound range. Bigger than the Rams typical like to go.

Seventh round: Isaiah Weston is intriguing, as a size/speed receiver. Raw, though.

“Punt God” Matt Araiza has been slotted anywhere from the 3rd round to UDFA, but if he’s still there in the 6th, I’d been fine with the Rams drafting him.

Rams should come out of this draft with improved depth, and perhaps a starter at corner or safety. Might also be able to find them at guard and punter. I do wish they had 1st and 2nds this year!

That steal the draft video is pretty good.  Very Hollywood(ish).

Where’s the article criticizing the “On the Clock” video arguing that the Rams suffer from hubris, and this kind of distraction is the same thing that made the Roman Empire collapse?

    It’s gotta be coming.

Usually, with McVay & Snead, expect the unexpected. They’ll probably draft people, that will have all of us, scratching our heads. No, it’s not dandruff, fleas,  or lice either.  Just the metaphor.
