Well, that would be like getting Hacksaw Reynolds back.

It’s about time that balanced out.

Take a quality LB from a division rival.

    i hope this happens…

    please make this happen!

i think an edge will have to come through the draft or later on through a trade.

i love wagner. and i think ernest jones could break out next year. what an ilb corps that would be.

    One more source, same message.

    Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Rams are loading up again? Sources say six-time All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner is visiting them and there is mutual interest in doing a deal. A potential huge defensive addition.

I think the Rams have bigger needs at CB and Edge, but I won’t complain if they sign this guy. Good players are good to have, I’ve always believed.

We do need help at Inside LB. We struggled against the run, especially up the middle. Wagner may be able to help with that.

I still would consider signing Solomon Thomas to a one year cheap deal, to see if we can revive his career. As you know, players do look good behind Aaron Donald.

I think you’re right about that. I do think that it is reasonable to expect significantly more from Jones next season, though, and there is probably a guy who, paired with Jones, could help the Rams shore up the run defense for far less than what Wagner would cost.

You know, I think adding a stud is always a good thing, so I will be happy if they do sign Wagner.

But…if halfway through the season, teams are eating up the CB opposite Ramsey, and the Rams aren’t getting the pressure on the QB like they did the last part of this season…well…Ima be pissed.

I’d love to have Wagner, but I’d rather have Gilmore and/or Clowney.

But…I dunno. Maybe having Wagner in there to take away the run game is as useful overall as having an edge in there to give the Rams the overwhelming pass rush advantage.

    I don’t know.

i keep reading that the rams only used one lb for most of their defensive personnel…

but if jones is as good as people think and wagner is still a top player why not adjust the defense to keep them on the field more together. i don’t know. maybe use them more in pass rush situations of they’re able. i don’t know how they are in coverage… but put your best eleven on the field and play to their strengths?

i did want an edge rusher. it’s looking like it’ll have to be through the draft or a midseason trade.

i do have high hopes for rochell. before the injury he seemed to be pushing for a starting spot. and i still think the rams need to add another db in the draft for depth, but the rams seem to be pretty good at identifying talent at that position for some reason. and this is supposed to be a draft that should be better in the later rounds.

Rochell may well be the answer. He, like Jones, showed promise, though we saw more of Jones and I think can be more confident in his future than in Rochell’s.

But…let’s say Rochell and Jones both emerge as solid players next year.

    They still need an Edge.

We had issues against the run. Teams were running up the middle against us. Wagner, may be able to help with that.

I still would like to sign Solomon Thomas, to a one year cheap deal. I feel with us, he could revive his career.

I would not mind signing Tre Flowers or Vernon Hargreaves for our veteran CB opposite of Jalen Ramsey.

well. blame von. if he signs with the rams, they get their edge and woods is never traded to tennessee. haha.

really interested to know what the rams offered. how far apart they really were.

Getting Wagner would take a weird-wild stroke of luck.  (and i cant imagine they have the money to satisfy him)

I mean, you just do not see Hall of Famers on each of the 3 levels of 1 defense very often.

    Aaron Donald,

    Bobby Wagner,

    Jalen Ramsey.

    When does that ever happen?

    I’m just curious.

If your favorite player signs with the Rams, will that completely crush your neon green and blue heart?

Bobby Wagner. He’s looking for a one-year $11m deal, while the Rams are unwilling to meet the price. Jourdan had a piece that said the Rams were in the $5-6m range like a week or so ago.

I say go get Suh.   He and Stafford already have a relationship.

in other words it’s never gonna happen.

rams should pivot to a cb or edge rusher.

It’s between the Rams and Ravens for Bobby Wagner. Both teams very competitive and among the league’s best. Would guess it comes down to who makes the better offer.
