I like that the Rams held in there and managed to pull out a victory.
Jones might be the real deal.
October 31, 2021 at 4:15 pm #133484JackPMillerParticipantGave up 22 points in a short span, to a terrible football team. We should be embarrassed. We are no way a Super Bowl contender, if our Defense plays like this.

October 31, 2021 at 6:05 pm #133493HramParticipantDominant through the first 3/4 until we pull our starters. That includes our starting left tackle. Glad one of the rookie wide receivers got some catches. Jones did look pretty good. Wolford did look pretty bad.
October 31, 2021 at 6:26 pm #133496canadaramParticipantThe starters dominated a bad team. Now the real football starts.
October 31, 2021 at 6:40 pm #133497wvParticipantTerrible call against the Texans on that fourth down play,
when it was ten to zip.Rams probly dont beat the spread
if thats called correctly.Texans are awful. Less said about this game the better.

if we were confused at first by the young trade…
the texans are a bad team, so there’s a long way to go. but a pretty good start for jones.
October 31, 2021 at 7:09 pm #133502InvaderRamModeratorya know. the chargers defense is allowing only 3 or 4 yards less per game than the rams defense. not only that but the rams defense is actually allowing less points per game than the chargers defense. talent wise i don’t know how they compare.
but hopefully this defense continues to improve as the season goes on. maybe they even make a last second trade to add some more talent on that side.
lastly. kupp. what a player. i’ll say it again. my favorite receiver since rev ike.

So… I still am not very impressed with the Rams, actually.
They have not put together a game that made me think they are a legitimate threat to win it all. And they have just passed through the easiest stretch of the schedule, against some truly deficient teams, and I wanna see the Rams do better than that. They fail to execute pretty often. And for the first half dozen games or so, you can let them slide on “new QB; new DC,” but it’s time now to throw the ball to the open guy, throw it accurately in a tight space, make some tackles, takeaway the ball, get 3 and outs, and… I dunno… quietly drop Tutu off at the adoption agency. They are putting up impressive numbers, but there it just feels like there are loose parts. This team makes too many unforced errors to win it all.
Of course, there is still plenty of time, but looking at the next 5 games –
Titans
at SF
at GB
Jax
at Ariz
and 3-2 or even 2-3 seems likely/possible.My favorite thing about yesterday was Darryl Henderson.
I didn’t see much of the second half. Fell asleep, actually at 31-7, and while I was happy to see McVay put in the JV squad, there was no good football to be had at that point anyway.
I am looking forward to the next 3 games. I think we will really see if the Rams are contenders or pretenders now.

Yeah, the second-season starts next week. Its basically playoff-positioning season now. Dallas, Packers, Rams, Bucs, Cards. Probly one or two others.
I dont see a clear favorite yet. One of those teams is gonna be healthy
and hot, come playoff time. You can make a case for any of those teams,
and its ‘very’ close, but as of now, i think the Rams have a tiny edge.Because of Stafford. Simple as that.

Who has? There isn’t a single team (outside of maybe the Cowboys) that consistently puts together complete games or looks like a contender ever week.
You’ve been bested. Now, slink back to the 9er’s board or whatever hell you crawled out of and tell your fowl brethren that we will not suffer their ilk.

Unlike you, I am interested only in the fortunes of the Rams. The “fact” that other teams look beatable is of no consolation to those of us who prefer to see the Rams win the Super Bowl. In the end, all you are saying is that the Rams are not clearly inferior to some other team. That may be true, but that is not the same thing as saying the Rams are superior to all other teams, a nuance perhaps lost on Cowboys’ fans such as yourself.

I also think that you’re right about injuries. If the Rams lose Donald, Stafford, Kupp, or Ramsey, they don’t make it.
Oh…one other game note: how great was that interception by Deayon? Pity that got wiped out. That was beautiful.

Game 8 analysis … Texans
I leave when Wolford comes in so as far as Im concerned it was a shutout.
Gonna try to do these on Sundays because I get overloaded Monday and lose track of the game. of course I couldn’t finish Sunday night and now we’ve traded for Von Miller.
The Great
1) Allowing only 100 yards with starting defense.
2) First showing for Ernest Jones.
3) Henderson with the jets … I really have ben liking his speed through the holes.
4) Leonard Floyd having himself a game. He doesn’t do it every week but when he’s up against an OT he can work he’s busy. He’s always good against the run but his spurt days in the backfield are fun to watch.
5) Donte Deayon’s pick. Had to have made sports center’s top plays and it didn’t even count.
The Good
6) I like seeing Skowronek able to come in and be functional.
7) The deep ball to Van … great route and he was moving … tad underthrown but I’m okay with that.
8) Noteboom seemed to be functional in the run and pass game. We may be able to extend him for a decent price. That would be lucky. Wemay lose Allen if he grades out high enough.
9) Liked seeing Blanton out there, is Higbee okay?
10) Cooper bein Cooper.
11) Gaines with solid snaps in SJD’s absence
The Bad
12) I’m gonna keep putting Stafford’s missed throws here until he cleans it up.
13) Henry’s injury, for my fantasy teams.
14) How was Wolford? Seemed like he had to be terrible for them to score 3 times. Did we go three and out 3 times?
15) I am not a fan of how that affects our defensive rankings.
The Ugly
16) Dude, did Tutu get hurt falling down? This is his second time in the “did I really just see that?” section for him.
Von Miller Trade
17) This changes a bit. This makes 3 spots that can rush the passer.
18) He doesn’t have to be in 75% snaps now … can stay fresh.
19) Change of scenery going for a ring? We likely get his A game.
20) Gave up a 2 and 3? Guess we think Noteboom can handle OLT.
November 1, 2021 at 7:51 pm #133555ZooeyModeratorTutu is confirmed out for the season, btw.
