I was actually glad to see the Lions make such a valiant effort.

And a wins is a win.

Last FG or go for it. Only 1% difference. Go for it edges ahead.

Special team gimmicks almost worked for Detroit….even the 1999 Rams couldn’t beat the Lions….

I’m here at the game…. lots of post game genuine love and hugs for Jared at mid field after the final gun from his teammates….

    On to Houston….

Yeah, the lions played much better than I thought they would.

The running game needs to be better. Kupp is great, please stay healthy Cooper.

I hope the Rams beat the Texans next week because I wouldnā€™t be surprised to see them lose 3 straight with the Titans, Niners and Packers coming up after that.

Good game, the Lions played inspired.

I was surprised the Rams could not run the ball. Once they figured that out halfway through the third quarter, I was surprised the Rams did not do a ton more play action on first down, like almost every time.

    Watched the replay last night.

Stafford and Goff head to head. Got to see what both do best, etc.
Goff made some great throws as per usual, but he just cant
zing the ball accurately to all corners of the field like Stafford.
The talent difference is just striking.
Goff is good, Stafford is elite. Makes a huge difference.

I loved the Lion defense. They were all over the field, hitting hard,
making great plays. Fierce, swarming, effort. Seems like they just
need some weapons on offense and to get some guys healthy and they’ll be good.

Kupp is fun to watch. Stafford’s talent really brings out the best
in Kupp. I am still skeptical about Kupp lasting an entire season though.
But if the rams make it into the playoffs healthy, I think they are the NFC
favorites. I would not pick against them.

I’m slightly disappointed in Van Jefferson. I was expecting him to get
better separation, and be more physical. He’s ok, but not what i was
    hoping for.

Looked like the Lions did a good job on Donald all game long,
cept for one play, and that play cost them the game. Lions are cursed.

The OLine is playing better than I expected, and its wonderful,
but i think a lot of it has to do with Stafford. I think all the little
things he does make all the other parts work better.

Robert Woods just made a bunch of tough, hardnosed, football plays
out there. Kupp and Woods might just be the most ‘complete’ WR pair
the Rams have ever had. And that is saying a lot. Would you rather have
Kupp and Woods or Ike and Torry? I dunno.

Mark Sanchez is my new favorite announcer. I loved his insights
on the game. A guy like Higby would make a catch, and Sanchez would point
out that the route should have been crisper, etc. Good stuff.

Dallas, Packers, Cards, Rams, Bucs — Some fine teams in the NFC.

I would take Kupp and Woods. Ike and Torry were artistes but I just prefer the K/W physicality. Plus Woods has all the instincts of a running back when he’s running with the ball. Sees lanes, knows how to cut, etc.

I am actually feeling better about Jefferson this year. Last year he was much worse when it comes to being physical. I saw some alligator arms when he was catching in traffic last year. He’s not Woods or Kupp but he’s better than last year.

In terms of the OL, I see it as both. Stafford is a type of qb who can help out an OL. But then at the same time this OL is much more consistently solid than last year. It’s a good OL. Best in years actually. Better than 2018 I think. So to me it’s both things–this is a qb who can help the OL, and this is a good OL in their own right on top of it. I think one key difference is Allen. Best center play by a Ram for a long time.

I agree with all of that. I’ve always like Woods, going back to USC, and I was elated the Rams got him. He is not flashy, but he is just the complete package. He does everything well, and he gets after it. He is as reliable as they come. I am really glad they extended him.

I don’t know what it is about Kupp. I should love that guy more than I do. For some reason, I’ve just never been able to believe what I’m seeing with him. The guy is always open. He always catches it, and then – even though he is completely surrounded – he spins and makes an extra 6 yards to pick up the first down, or score. It’s almost like I just have trouble believing it for some reason. I think I also fear he’s going to break again, like he did in 2018. I’m afraid to fall in love with him because I fear he will break my heart. If Kupp goes, there goes the season.

I think Jefferson has improved, too, and I think he will be even better next year. Seems to me that Year Three is when WRs max out.

The OL is the best the Rams have had since I dunno when.

Praying the offense stays healthy. Give these guys another 10 games together, and I will gladly ride with this team into January. They are right up there statistically, and it’s very obvious they haven’t clicked yet. Their ceiling is much higher.

The defense is more concerning. Hopefully, they too will gel, but the secondary seems rickety to me. Rapp seems more like a box guy. Reminds me of Archuleta a bit, actually. And their unbelievable depth has eroded with all the solid players going elsewhere for better pay. I have hopes for Rochelle, but Long is “Not For,” I don’t think. And I’m concerned about holding up against Derrick Henry.

That match-up with TN is going to tell us a lot about the Rams ability to stop the run. Biggest test to date, isn’t it? That’s also a Big Reunion date: Janoris Jenkins, Roger Saffold, Josh Reynolds, Sam Ficken.

I think i agree with all that…but think of what we’re saying on the Kupp/Woods
thing — Ike and Torry are probly both gonna be in the Hall of Fame.

    And we’d probly take K/W.
