Including COVID-19 related absences, Rams had second-fewest adjusted games lost to injury last season. Counting only injuries, fifth-fewest.A strong testament to the work done by the Rams’ athletic training staff and their COVID task force group.
Same article also says the Rams had just two adjusted games lost due to COVID only, tied with the Cowboys and Eagles for sixth-fewest. (For context, CIN and TEN tied for 4th-fewest with one each, JAX, SEA and WAS tied for fewest with zero).

Rams with the second-least “adjusted games lost” of the 2020 season – and fifth-least when only injuries were factored in:March 26, 2021 at 12:38 am #128647znModeratorThis is a good deal. Where is the risk? He only gets paid alot if he plays and rams win. https://t.co/V3IgQwl1PM

March 26, 2021 at 8:14 am #128650znModeratorMatthew Stafford threw the ball to he first down line on third down 82 times last season. He was accurate on 55 of those throws (67.1%).

March 26, 2021 at 9:37 am #128652znModeratorThe Rams were in need of an imposing downfield threat to stretch the defense. Torry Holt recorded TEN 40+ yard receptions during the 2000 season. No WR has posted TEN or more 40+ yard plays since 2014, that player was Desean Jackson. Hoping DJax can bring a spark to the offense! pic.twitter.com/BuYBF3oSQm

I don’t really understand the 17-game regular season. I mean, yes, it’s all about the cash money. Reduce the preseason, fine. But burn all the single-season record books. Seriously random. Much rather see 2 byes in a 16-week season plus expanded practice squads.March 27, 2021 at 5:56 am #128679znModeratorThe greatest QB duel in recent times?
Goff vs Mahomes in 2018 was a CLASSIC 🔥

March 27, 2021 at 11:24 am #128685znModerator1. Rams trade for Matthew Stafford
Cost: QB Jared Goff, 2022 first-rounder, 2023 first-rounder, 2021 third-rounder
Contract: 2 years, $47.4 million ($10 million guaranteed)The Rams easily gave up the most for their new QB, at least in terms of combined draft assets and salary cap space, but the fact is Stafford is also the safest upgrade of the entire bunch. L.A. fans should note that he was rarely consistently special in Detroit, but he’ll also be working with his best supporting cast in a while, if not ever. They should be playoff contenders while he’s around, so the first-rounders they’re losing shouldn’t be franchise-crippling losses. Best of all, the floor for their QB output has been raised so much just by swapping Stafford in for Goff. This was a totally acceptable gamble for a team on the brink.

The NFL informed clubs today they can begin Phase 1 of OTAs on April 19, per source. Players are still allowed to work out at the facility in small groups, as many have been. The NFL and NFLPA continue to discuss virtual vs. in-person meetings and on-field work soon thereafter. This means no head start for teams with new head coaches, who normally could’ve started OTAs Monday. But unlike a year ago, some players have already been working out in team facilities, and there’s hope for practices this spring, even if meetings remain virtual indefinitely.
The NFL and NFLPA have worked collaboratively throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. But if there’s no deal on 2021 offseason rules, normal CBA provisions would apply. In-person workouts and practices would mean players need to show up to earn any workout bonuses in their contracts.

I think they have to, just based on his name. It’s the best name ever for an OL.
March 30, 2021 at 4:19 pm #128755Billy_TParticipantI’m pounding the draft-table for Johnny Steamroll, Bulldog Pancaker, or Wolfgang Von Trapblock. Just hoping they don’t run sub-5.0 forties at their Pro Days, or the Rams may be out of luck.

Like Snead mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’m pretty excited about a couple of those younger DL who were hidden on the practice squad last year. Eric Banks and Michael Hoecht in particular.Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
