Wakanda couldn’t stay on there forever.

An error by the United States Department of Agriculture resulted in Wakanda — the fictional African nation in the “Black Panther” comic franchise — being classified online as a free trade agreement partner of the U.S.

Wakanda appeared as a dropdown option on the USDA website’s agricultural tariff tracker until Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, the department had some fun with its blunder.

“While we removed the Kingdom of Wakanda from our list of US free trade partners, our relationship will always be strong,” the department tweeted. “#WakandaForever.”

The Black-Panther-inspired mistake was a claws — err, cause — of confusion for Twitter user Francis Tseng, who noticed Wakanda on the website and tweeted about it, stirring up attention.

In a statement, a USDA spokesman explained what happened.

“The Foreign Agricultural Service staff who maintain the Tariff Tracker have been using test files to ensure that the system is running properly,” reads the statement obtained by the Daily News. “The Wakanda information should have been removed after testing and has now been taken down.”

Wakanda was first introduced in a Marvel comic in 1966. It was the setting for the 2018 blockbuster film “Black Panther,” which starred Chadwick Boseman as the titular superhero who called Wakanda home.

In the Marvel Universe, Wakanda is a thriving and self-sustaining country known for its remarkable technological breakthroughs.

The NFL might eliminate concussions if Wakanda could make helmets out of Vibranium.
