    I love Matt but I disagree completely with him on impeachment. I do not think that doing “nothing” is an option.

    Trump keeps pushing boundaries. I mean–if he is not held accountable for this then when? There may as well be no rules for the office of the Presidency. They can trade weapons for favors, make foreign policy more about personal gain and corrupt everything they touch. With Trump–the Democratic base is fed up–and it is an accumulation of things.

    The Democrats will depress their base if they do nothing.

    And as they have moved on impeachment, the polls now show a majority of Americans support it.

    So what if it goes no where in the Senate? The Republicans hold their base because they do what they want and do not care. They look strong.

    The Democrats frustrate their base. They are weak.

    If they lose the energy in the base they will lose the election.
