znModeratorHappy for the win. But since I didn’t get to see the game, I don’t know what happened, at all.
Thought they would crush the Giants, and continue running well. Apparently, that didn’t happen.
Looking forward to the next two games, which I’ll be able to watch, “live.” Washington and SF. Should be some goodin’ football.
. . .
Still not sure if this season lasts. Hope so, of course. But who knows at this point?
Hope all is well with youze guys.

Los Angeles ranks fourth in net yards per pass attempt, Jared Goff has been sacked four times in four games and ProFootballFocus has even credited them as the third best run blocking unit the NFL.

znModeratorTexas man called ‘pillar of community’ is fatally shot by police officer as he tried to break up a fight, according to local reports.
A Texas man hailed as a “pillar of the community” was fatally shot by a police officer as he tried to break up a fight, according to local reports.
Jonathan Price, 31, intervened when he saw a man and a woman brawling outside a gas station Saturday night in Wolfe City, about 65 miles northeast of Dallas, witnesses told ABC affiliate WFAA-TV.
Family members and friends told the outlet that the man assaulted Price, and when officers responded to a report of the disturbance, a cop tased the good Samaritan, then shot him.
Authorities on Sunday said the cop involved was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Texas Rangers, but did not release details about the shooting.
A former athlete, Price was employed by the city and also worked as a fitness trainer, relatives and friends said.
“Everybody loved Jonathan. Everybody. Black, white, Mexican, it don’t matter,” his sister, April Louis, told the outlet.
Price’s mother, Marcella Louis, said she wasn’t surprised to hear that her son would step in to stop a fight.
“That’s what he always did, tried to help others. I taught him that all the years,” Louis said.
A witness who was in a store across the street when shots rang out recognized the victim as Price, calling him a “pillar of the community.”
“We all love him and think so highly of him and just the nicest guy you could ever meet,” Kyla Sanders told the TV station.
Philadelphia-based civil rights lawyer Lee Merritt said he is working with the family to “get justice” for Price, calling him “a hometown hero.”
“Motivational speaker, trainer, professional athlete and community advocate — he was dearly loved by so many,” Merritt wrote on Facebook.
“He noticed a man assaulting a woman and he intervened,” Merritt continued. “When police arrived, I’m told, he raised his hands and attempted to explain what was going on.”
The attorney claimed: “Police fired tasers at him and when his body convulsed from the electrical current, they ‘perceived a threat’ and shot him to death.”
The family will be holding a vigil for Price on Monday evening.

I love me some Williams. He’s a great CB2. Always in position, and has some good ball instincts when he breaks, I like how he gets his head around and looks for it. If he keeps playing like this he’s going to put up some good INT numbers too because he’ll keep getting action. You can’t throw at Hill every play.
The secondary has made it pretty tough for teams to pass on them overall (4th overall in the league in passer rating against) and that’s in spite of 50% of the games being without the stud safety they unearthed in Fuller. They’re also sitting 8th in passing yards against and 3rd in passing yards per attempt. The latter tells us teams are dishing that quick and probably because of AD which helps to compensate a bit for our edge rush.
Where we’ve dipped from last season is our run defense. Thing is, the stats are kind of misleading too because they’ve been padded by QB runs due to our poor contain. So IMO we’re a middle of the pack defense in run defense (vice 21st which is where we sit right now in ypc).
Translation to my mind at least is that we lack quality talent at LB. That’s not going to change until the draft if then, so even though it’s early I think this defense will finish in that same 10 to 15 range they’ve been around (we were 17th last season). But we are a tough team to pass on believe it or not which is a good thing to have IF your offense can light up opposing defenses.
Happy to see Obo play well btw. But I don’t trust that he’ll be able to play well game to game vs the better LTs. Keep in mind he drew a rookie LT. So great that he got it done but I wouldn’t make any sweeping decisions just yet. The next LT we face is Geron Christian who could also give us a false sense of security (someone will benefit).
I think Rapp should play WILB for us. Once we get Fuller back I think that happens. Call it a sub if you want, but he should be in there because he has good natural ability to anticipate angles and whatnot and we’re going to need his speed and athleticism vs the running QBs on the schedule particularly the division games. He’d also be better than any LB on the roster.
znModeratorWell, i think i remember two fairly deep balls near the sideline that were simply well covered. Giants good D.

vIt’s always good to hear from Giants fans.
I grudgingly admire Giants fans since unlike them I could not bear to live in North Korea.
znModerator#RamsHouse Since Noteboom went own, Rams have not run a single power, long or short trap. Edwards just cannot pull it off, sorry for the pun. Also, screen game down, Edwards cannot hit moving targets as well. However, he's been solid otherwise. Noteboom needs to stay healthy. pic.twitter.com/Y4mcuD80gT

Anyone kinda feel that after the first drive, where the Rams scored on a TE rush play, that McVay closed up the bag of tricks to save for a later date?BTHRams@BTH_Rams
Eager to watch the All-22, but something that’s clear through four games (which is only a quarter of the season, but big enough of a sample size) is that the Rams simply do not want to have to pass the ball deep downfield.Nothing inherently “good” or “bad” about that, but just in terms of style.
Goff is tied for the least Intended Air Yards in the NFL (the distance the ball travels per attempt).
It’s a systemic refusal which comes from McVay, obviously.
Every team obviously is going to have lower conversion rates for 3rd and long compared to 3rd and short. I don’t know how the Rams compare in that dropoff, but it’s severe obviously.

Just finished watching Rams offense. By far the shortest video of the season (just 57 plays). Before some podcasters start their semi weekly second guessing of the offense and play calling please make sure you give some credit to NYG defense. Rams LT Andrew Whitworth says, “No question,” this season’s 3-1 start feels better than last season’s 3-1, noting last season felt a bit sloppy and that they fell into some good situations, but they didn’t feel great about execution.TurfShowTimes@TurfShowTimes
Rams are top-5 in both passing offense and passing defenseJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
Safety John Johnson says that a part of the Rams’ identity is a “don’t flinch” mentality when things get tough down on the field in-game.Johnson, as we know, is in a vocal leadership role within the defense. One point he brought up – that I think is invaluable in these times – is that team leaders have to be more vocal down the stretch because there is no crowd to keep the energy up in rough moments.

Darious Williams is the first player with 4 INT in his first 7 NFL starts since 2013-14 when Byron Maxwell had 5 with SEA. (Williams 5th was negated by a phantom penalty at DAL last year.) Looks like he’s the first @RamsNFL player to do that since Dre’ Bly in the early 2000s.Reuben Frank@RoobNBCS
