znModeratorThe Rams biggest draft mistake is apparently not having a first rounder for seven years. They mention not having first rounders to replace Leonard Floyd, John Johnson and Troy Hill, three players that the Rams did not use a first rounder to obtain in the first place https://t.co/3pwscjbm9C

znModeratorfrom Top 3 needs for all 32 NFL teams: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-haritz-top-3-needs-for-all-32-nfl-teams-ahead-of-the-2021-season
LOS ANGELES RAMS
Team Needs: Secondary, offensive line, edgeThere’s a solid argument to be made that Jalen Ramsey is the single-best CB in the league. The team’s willingness to move him all over the field makes the lack of a high-end partner in crime less of an issue than it might be for a different high-end corner, but either way there needs to be an effort made to at least try and retain free agent CBs Troy Hill and Darious Williams as well as S John Johnson.
Edge defender Leonard Floyd will need to be replaced in some way, shape or form. Like with Ramsey in the secondary, the Rams are always going to be a bit thin across the defensive line due to having so much money wrapped up in all-world talent Aaron Donald. Again, like with Ramsey, Donald’s ability to dominate and move all over the line of scrimmage makes this less of a need than it would be on another team.
The Rams have improved the offensive line from within in recent seasons, but at some point they’ll need to consider investing legit resources to the group. Overall, 2015 marks the last time the team used a top-two round pick on the position. The good news is that having Matthew Stafford under center should help with the rather large drop off in performance when Jared Goff would experience pressure. The early returns from Cam Akers have certainly been promising.

znModeratorMatthew Stafford to Marvin Hall. Watch Stafford’s pocket mobility and then launches this ball from his own 15 yard line to the 25 downfield. Hall adjusts well, but this is just stellar pocket awareness and arm talent on display. pic.twitter.com/Np1SnPyV5d

znModeratorI’ve found the Chiefs creativity from the Super Bowl … but once again the Bucs defense was just 🔥. 👀👀 at this. Seriously. The Chiefs have the back going one way, the jet sweep going the other and then Kelce in the middle for a screen. They’ve crushed with it. Not here pic.twitter.com/QVnNnsigPK

SB recap!-Tampa thoroughly dominated the Chiefs. What I thought could happen did. The team w/the better OL/DL imposed their will
-Could the Chiefs have done anything different?
-Todd Bowles defensive game plan was Fire. How’d they do it?

znModeratorI mean what kind of blueprint did Tampa
show us:
1) First, get the Chiefs OLine all decimated with injuries.
2) Dominate the Line of Scrimmage.Yep.
Any other take on it, IMO, is just overkill.
znModeratorGeoff Schwartz@geoffschwartz
We do realize the Chiefs threw screens, moved the pocket, took play action pass shots, attempted quick passes, helped their offensive line, etc…They could have run the ball more. But the Tampa defense just dominated them. Sometimes it can be that simple.Brett Kollmann@BrettKollmann
Also “just run the ball!” isn’t exactly good advice when Tampa is able to park an actual human boulder in the middle of the offensive line while the best linebacker duo in the league just flies around behind him.People never run on Tampa for a reason. It’s fucking hard to do
SportsCenter@SportsCenter
According to @NextGenStats, Patrick Mahomes ran a total of 497 yards before his passes/sacks in the #SuperBowlThat’s the most pre-throw/pre-sack yards run by a QB in any game this season.

There's plenty of examples from last night where keeping in protection for the Chiefs OL helped the secondary for the Bucs who were sitting in soft zone. Double teams everywhere. https://t.co/o8aZL3zz39

znModeratorznModeratorChiefs went empty protection on nearly every pass attempt last night. Against a great pass rush + 2H, it allows more receiving options to throw quickly before rush is there. Here’s an example of when the Chiefs didn’t go empty. TE and RB stayed in. All 3 receiving options doubled pic.twitter.com/Kgoxc6FNLI
