Rams star DE Myles Garrett WILL practice this week. First action for him since Week 1. Still on IR as they have 21 days to activate him.

Terrance Ferguson has a good chance to practice this week, too.

Asked whether this will be a one-week or multi-week ramp up for Myles Garrett, McVay said he wanted to be careful about setting any expectations for when Garrett will play:

“I think just taking it a day at a time is going to be the best way that we can approach it. Think that’s the right thing for him, and really just to see how he responds. But I think it’s a real positive that we’re starting his clock.”

Sean McVay shares positive updates on Rams CBs Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson
Watson and McDuffie both got hurt in Sunday’s win, but it doesn’t sound like either injury is too serious

During his press conference on Monday afternoon, Sean McVay provided updates on the Los Angeles Rams’ two injured cornerbacks. Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie both exited Sunday’s game with injuries and were unable to return, but it doesn’t sound like either will be out very long, if at all.

McVay told reporters that Watson is “feeling good and optimistic” after aggravating his shoulder injury in the third quarter, and he’s considered day-to-day. Additionally, McDuffie “came in feeling better than expected” after hurting his back while making a tackle in the third quarter.

McDuffie said he was “feeling good” after the game while doing an on-field interview, which was a good sign to begin with, but it’s encouraging to hear McVay said he’s feeling even better on Monday.

Watson and McDuffie have both missed time this season. Watson originally dislocated his shoulder in Week 3 and missed one game. McDuffie suffered a groin injury in practice before the Rams’ Week 6 game, causing him to miss two games before returning on Sunday.

The Rams take on the Commanders this week and then the Cardinals after that before getting a little bit of a break with their Week 11 bye

As for cornerbacks Jaylen Watson (shoulder) and Trent McDuffie (back), McVay said Watson “aggravated his shoulder again” on Sunday against the Chargers and that they will take things a day at a time with him, seeing what his status looks like as the week progresses. Although McDuffie “came in feeling better than maybe what we expected,” per McVay, they will also be monitoring him as the week goes on.

Additionally, inside linebacker Grant Stuard injured his hamstring in pregame warmups and is considered week-to-week, according to McVay.

Meanwhile, running back Dean Connors broke his hand during Sunday’s game and will undergo surgery Monday. McVay said Connors is “a candidate for IR.”

McVay also said tight end Colby Parkinson, who missed last Sunday’s game against the Chargers with a rib injury, is “making really good progress.”
