Choke Cherry Pie… just like the Rams have eaten this season. And all the traditional mom to me recipe stuff like roasted turkey, giblet stuffing and gravy, sweet pertaters, mashed pertaters, cranberry jelly, green bean and cheese casserole, homemade wheat rolls, punkin pie, apple pie, cherry pie… and the veggy tray and dip and a pickle tray.

Might have to hit the treadmill before, after, and during dinner.

I’m disappointed that they’re not good enough to contend for a playoff spot but happy they look like they can compete against any team in the NFL.

I wonder how much better they might be right now with a healthy Sam Bradford. And, I’m hopeful that the almost comeback against San Diego is a sign of things to come. I feel that they need to get better under pressure and feel that’s one of the things Bradford had improved at oh, those many games ago.

If the rosebud sioux tribe can stop it, the keystone excel cops will simply re-engineer around it like they did with the Nebraska Sandhills. I read somewhere last week that the price of crude was about the only thing that would stop it.

There’s already one in the ground – Keystone 1. It’s been there for a few years. It wasn’t a political football so nobody really cared about it except a few crazy old eastern SD’ers who didn’t want their aquifer defiled. They lost. It doesn’t go through the reservation and it was built with little fanfare in less than 18 months.

It was fun reading their take on the SD congressional delegation – I could go on for chapters about how worthless they are but why bother. We just elected another one of the same so there are 0 elected democrats in SD a the state or federal level. There’s a few state representatives – 15 out of 80 or so. It’s truly become a 1.1 party system.

Better go visit my new grandaughter now. She’s a Ram fan and she’s not even born yet.

Great game and love his big leg and all but IMO, Gregatron the Leg needs to be improve when kicking under pressure.

I’m glad it has but why has the defense come together now?

The starting corners have both played the past two games for the first time this season and the secondary looks like it has improved a great deal to me. The soft zone stuff seems to be gone and coverage seems to be tighter. Is that the main reason? Or, did Williams and staff ‘figure out’ how to use their personnel? Maybe the players have finally figured out Williams schemes?

We get almost all the Denver games locally. The only time we don’t is if the Vikings are playing an AFC team at home during the same time period.

Would Snisher draft Winston if available either by trade or with their pick outright?

I have a feeling that Winston is the second coming of Jamarcus Russell.Besides Winston is toxic.

I don’t know much about Winston other than a few headlines I’ve seen. But, by most accounts he’s a talented guy and maybe the most talented QB. Mariotta seems to be in that discussion as well.

Fisher’s history with QB’s include the bad taste he must still have when swallowing Vince Young with the third pick 8 years ago. But, Winston and Young do not seem to be the same guy from a QB talent level at least.

I think they have a good shot at 4 or 5 more wins.

Would Snisher draft Jameis Winston or trade up to draft him if available and also bring back Sam Bradford next season?

in reply to: Would you draft Tavon? #11867

In total – unadulterated hindsight there would be no way that I would draft Tavon Austin at the 8 spot. I really thought he was going to add a higher element of explosiveness than we’ve seen to date. He could come on – we’ll see. It seems to me that his quickness isn’t as big of an asset in the pro game as it was in college. And, his diminutive size has me cringing for his safety and his ball security every time he’s got the ball in any kind of traffic. He’s exciting when he does break one but the penalties have really cost the Rams and Tavon. Most opposing safeties look like they have 50, 60 lbs of muscle on him and are just as fast and are looking to plaster his ass back to Morgantown.

Seems to me that the top 8 picks from the 2013 draft still have a lot of question marks by their names. Cooper hasn’t started yet after a lost rookie season. Ansah and Mingo have had the most impact I would think. Eric Fisher was moved to LT this season after redshirting at G last year and I think has been decent. Jordan looks like a bust so far. Everybody laughed when Dallas drafted the Center Fredericks at 31 but who’s laughing now? Rams could have used a decent young center to replace Wells.

I’d say Hopkins at 27 has been the best WR so far from the first round. Patterson has flashed some but has been inconsistent as well.

I don’t know who or what I would have done even now but the Rams had a dire need for a saftety then and I still like Vacarro. I’m still rooting for Tavon to become the explosive weapon I thought he would – we’ll see.

Crappy game to watch unless one is a Cleveland fan. The Browns looked to me like they’ve improved. I think they’ve put a lot into their secondary and it appears that it’s starting to pay off.

He says “We wound up going 13–3 in our second season, a complete reversal of our first year and the biggest one-season turnaround in league history”

Peyton Manning also played his second season which is comparable to every season since his rookie season before the 13-3 if memory serves correctly.

As to my fan-dumb, I have purchased the NFL package each of the last 5 or 6 years to watch the Rams every week. So I watch every game at least one time – so far I’ve watched every game this season live.

Although this last game I wasn’t paying that much attention to the game after the Chiefs ran the KO back to start the second half. I could feel the blowout coming. I hate blowouts. If things get slow here at the homestead, I may rewatch the Chief’s game sometime before tomorrows game. I DVR every game and the short take version and I’ll watch the short take or parts of it and sometimes more than once.

No news on the Rams staying in St Louis leaves a void and guys like LaCanfora will speculate – right or wrong. IT doesn’t help when the stands in St Louis are half empty and Kroenke is buying large tracts of land with a huge parking lot in the middle of Los Angeles.

But, it seems to me that recent history is that teams leverage the LA market against their current market to get what they really want. What does Kroenke really want? If St Louis blinks and gives Kroenke what he wants then what? Who knows –

I’m disappointed in the defense – and Fisher hired Greg Williams to help him mold what most think is a talented young group.

I just wonder – do they have the personnel to run Williams schemes? Will Chris Long make a difference when he returns? Will Williams adjust to his personnel?

I thought Mason played great in his first game. And, the other rookies Donald, Robinson, Joyner, and Gaines played pretty well agin the stinking 9ers. Gaines appeared to get beat by Crabtree on the double post move thing for the TD but he plays pretty well for a sixth round pick.

Fisher and Snead have done a solid job getting talented young guys on the roster – now I think it needs to grow up, to mature, to blossom if you will. They can’t remain a bad call from getting beat every week.

Gawd I hate the niners – that was a hard game to watch. Especially the second time.
