Wow–Lockett misses one–shoulda been a T.D.
On another note–Myles Jack(only a sophomore) looks like he’s going to be a heck of a linebacker.

PA RamParticipantTyler Lockett–the Kansas receiver looks pretty electric.

PA RamParticipantSo far Hundley 9-11 for 85 yards(pretty safe throws)and 0 touchdowns.
He has rushed for 42 yards and 2 touchdowns.

PA RamParticipantDon’t know how much of this game I’ll watch but so far Hundley reminds me of Kaepernik. Good runner.
Hasn’t had to make any spectacular passes yet.
Kansas State looks like they’re asleep.

PA RamParticipantNo way.
There’s no way I take him at #10.
While I like some of the things he did in the Cotton Bowl–and I was particularly impressed with his deep ball, he isn’t worth the #10 pick. I’m not sure any of the QBs are.
He was barely pressured in that game–Baylor moves the ball pretty fast.
Look–he certainly has potential.
I’d absolutely grab him in the 3rd round but he probably won’t be there. If the Rams trade down–end of second–maybe.
With teams desperate for QBs he might not be around then–but that’s okay–I still would not reach at #10.
Take a lineman at #10–a solid guy. That’s my #10 pick.
In the second I’d still look for a lineman but if they can trade down and find Petty there I’d consider it.

PA RamParticipantIf Winston fell to #10 I STILL wouldn’t want the Rams to take him.
I want no part of that guy.

I saw the 4th quarter. The best description of Cook’s play at the end is that sometimes, he is accurate.
I agree zn–and he did not handle pressure particularly well. Petty wasn’t pressured all that much so it’s hard to judge him on that.
Still–Petty looks like a good late 2nd or early 3rd round pick.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantGame over–Mich. State pulls it out.
Petty finishes taking a couple of sacks and then throws an int.
Overall—I would not be disappointed if the Rams drafted Bryce Petty–but maybe in the third round. He did have the Romo back injury this year so that has to be considered.
He looked good today.
Cook(not even sure he’s in the draft this year) was less impressive.

PA RamParticipantPetty–481 yards 3 t.d.s 0 picks

PA RamParticipantGood game–6 point difference now.
Cook led a nice drive–thought he scrambled for a T.D. but was short.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantPetty: 464 passing yards: Cotton Bowl record.
Still a quarter to play.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantLOL! Great play.
Petty just threw a T.D. pass to a 6-7 390 pound guard!
No one covered him.

PA RamParticipantAg–I don’t know about Cook–saw him once before and he looked better. But I tell you what–I love the big running back, Langford for Mich. State. What a smooth big guy–a real workhorse.
Still, that’s not our primary need.
Cook did just take them down for a T.D.

PA RamParticipantCook looks awful.

PA RamParticipantOkay–Petty just made a BEAUTIFUL throw to his receiver. Huge bomb for a T.D. Very nice.

PA RamParticipantBy the way–I’m scouting the Cotton Bowl. Not overly impressed with Cook or Petty.
Petty is having a better game but…eh. He doesn’t jump out at me. He’s off on some passes.
Cook looks at his target the whole way–when he isn’t handing off. Mich. State has a good running back.

January 1, 2015 at 10:16 am in reply to: how do you see 2015? optimistic, pessimistic, neutral, wait-n-see? #15210PA RamParticipantIf they fix the offense–playoffs.
IF.
I have no doubt the defense and special teams are in place to make a run.
The offense is the anchor around their neck.
So…do I trust they will fix the offense?
No.
The quarterback situation is up in the air–it’s a foggy situation and when it clears I’m not exactly sure what it will look like but there is no doubt by now that Fisher knows they HAVE to address it. But they have to find a steady, healthy quarterback.
The offensive line needs obvious work. Again–I think they get that.
While I’m not a Shotty fan, the last thing I want to do right now is change systems. If they settle the QB situation and fix the O-line they can win.
But one more thing–the slow start. They can’t have that again. The defense has to be ready from DAY 1 and since Williams has had them a year they should be–they have to be.
In short—I am not pessimistic or optimistic—I’m neutral. I’ll believe it when I see it. For now–I’m trying to be optimistic about the draft and free agency.
We’ll see how that looks.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantI bet there are a lot of teams kicking themselves for passing on him.
Great draft pick and I’m looking forward to enjoying his work in horns for years to come.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantI really want to send a sympathy card to the Rams defense.
Their offense was D.O.A. today.
Sad.
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen an interception by a lineman when the QB was trying to throw the ball at the ground.
How do you miss the turf? Pretty big target.
Ugh. Serenity now! Serenity now!
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. " Philip K. Dick
PA RamParticipantLook for the Seahawks to exploit the open highway that goes through Joseph and Wells.
Look for them to take advantage of a Greg Robinson brain freeze at least once to pound Hill REALLY hard.
Look for them to stack the box and demand the Rams beat them through the air.
Look for Wilson to take off more than once for a few big gains.
Look for them to pound Lynch at Donald until the Rams show they can stop it.
Look for the crowd to cause the offensive line of the Rams into some false starts.
Look for the flags to fall hard against the Rams after last weeks episode combined with the Seahawks being at home.
Look for Johnny Hekker to shock the world with a winning touchdown pass on a fake punt.
You heard it here first.

That would make sense, really.
Grab a guy from your division who knows the other teams. It may be the least disruptive thing you can do.
