    hey, everyone.

hope everyone out there is healthy and safe. i hope your family is safe.

i said at the beginning of the year that i thought this year was going to suck. boy did i underestimate exactly how much this year was actually going to suck. maybe the craziest year i’ve ever experienced. i don’t know about all of you.

but take care and hopefully happier days are ahead.

I may have missed Kenneth Murray. I was trying to do this draft, and even during a pandemic, the building I live in, people kept bothering me. They just don’t listen to social distancing. Frustrating. I can’t go back in and fix it now. Once you leave, you can’t edit anymore.

no worries. rams can just get him as a udfa! ha!

    good stuff, jack.

just one thing. at first glance i think you’re missing kenneth murray. a guy i’d like to see the rams draft. maybe i missed him.

“A guy like Jordyn Brooks from Texas Tech who can fly, I think he would be a great replacement when you lose Littleton,” Jeremiah said. “To be able to plug him in right there, I think he’d be a great fit and somebody that kind of plays with high, high tempo, which I know they appreciate there in that organization.”

i was looking at brooks too.

if the could go brooks and ol, i wouldn’t be disappointed.

sounds like it’s pretty much a consensus that this wr class is strong, so it wouldn’t be horrible if they went wr…

I don’t think this is a great year for TEs.

so this draft is deep with wrs.

what other positions are supposed to be strong this year?

i like tee higgins as well. tall but also long (34″ arms). can play all three wr positions according to reports.

or i’d like to see them draft a tight end/h-back. i like higbee. but i’d like to see them upgrade on everett. a guy who can block and catch. doesn’t have to be in the second round.

lucas niang. could drop. very athletic tackle. hip surgery in november. if his medical checks out, rams should draft this guy. first round talent who could drop to the second day. i’m reading some places saying third day.

    replacement for whit?

i’d be fine with reagor. and with the second second rounder i’d like to see oline.

only thing i worry about is the running game cuz this is a play action offense. so an rb in the later rounds.

oh and also. saw him run some out of the backfield. could see him running those jet sweeps for the rams.

    it’s a rebuild.

i’m assuming after this year they should have a lot more cap space. but then they’ll have to re-sign kupp and ramsey. jj.

but they should also have a first round pick. they gotta draft well though. these oline picks have to come through. i’m hopeful of edwards and evans in particular. less on noteboom than i was before.

ogbo and ebukam need to step up. can kiser come back from injury? but he’s still an unknown even if he does come back healthy.

can a guy like david long surprise and make an impact in the backfield? how does rapp progress from rookie to sophomore? does jj come back from injury? can they re-sign ramsey?

can darrell henderson step up? i didn’t know much about him when he was picked. but i liked what i read. don’t have strong feelings either way although i do want them to pick a running back at some point in the draft (doesn’t have to be a high pick).

what does o’connell bring to the table? what does staley bring to the table?

    yeah. it’s a rebuild.

my question is does mcvay want to continue with the 3 wr sets he had been using. or does he want to go to more 2 tight end sets like he had done with washington? reynolds i think could step up and at least partially fill the cooks role.

or with this being a strong wr class, maybe he figures get a top wr if he’s available and build the offense around the talent you have?

Yeah, supposedly the first three rounds of this draft are polluted with WR talent.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
The incoming class of WRs is historically deep – and so trading Cooks makes some sense.

Now, the Rams can (and should) capitalize on it in Round 2

    well, i had no idea.

i’m actually ok with this. rams need linebackers and olinemen. even an rb.

i’m not so comfortable with allen at center. i’d like them to draft one this year. i’d like them to draft a left tackle for the future as well. and some linebackers.

i think with higbee emerging cooks was a luxury. hopefully, reynolds can be the deep threat. kupp, woods, and higbee should be enough with the other receivers complementing them. i think even a guy like edwards-helaire in the second round could add another receiving threat.

    i’m excited.

    from https://www.therams.com/video/whitworth-on-re-signing-with-the-rams-and-keeping-busy-at-home

Andrew Whitworth is excited about Henderson’s potential in the Rams’ offense, calling him a “special athlete.”

“He’s quick. When he puts his foot in the ground and goes, you can see it. A couple games there throughout the season, he got some opportunities and when he touched the football, he looked like lightning in a bottle,” Whitworth said. “It’s one of those things where as a young player, he’s going to learn things over his career and right now, it’s taking care of his body and how he can be in the best shape possible and how he can get through a season. that’s always a tough season for running backs, of course. So the more availability he has for us, I think we look forward to it because he’s a special athlete and somebody who can really help us.”

i haven’t necessarily given up on henderson, but i’d like to see them add to the rb corps.

i wouldn’t mind seeing edwards-helaire in the second round. a combo of him and henderson with brown as the bruiser would be interesting.

    no more hugging?

eventually. the matrix is coming… and we’ll all be isolated in our own individual pods… but then we’ll have to worry about computer viruses…

seriously though. this could very well change the way society operates.

in a lot of ways hopefully good. human encroachment. destruction of ecosystems. factory farming. yeah. hopefully, those things change.

i also worry that it could change some things for the worse. what that is? i don’t know right now. but you know humans will find a way to screw it up somehow.

I think his arm has gotten stronger since he was drafted. I watched every throw in college and I don’t think any were 50 yards in the air.

i think so too. he’s gotten noticeably bigger since he was drafted. just filling out.

so it’s likely that his arm strength has increased too.

If this continues, or heaven forbid gets worse, that stadium is going to turn (in people’s eyes) into this dark symbol, and not the shining showcase of NFL wealth it was supposed to be.

unfortunately, i think most people will just forget.

but the right thing regardless would be to shut down construction. it’s just too risky.

and raider stadium in vegas hasn’t stopped construction either.

what they are doing is not essential.

they need to just stop construction until restrictions have been lifted.

i’m convinced at this point that the democrats prefer to have trump win the reelection.

i can’t see any other reason they’d want biden to be the nominee.

well. let me rephrase that. they’d prefer to have someone who could beat trump. but having trump win if biden were to win the democratic nominee would be the next best thing.

it’ll take pressure off of them. he’s entertainment. and it’ll distract us long enough to get them off their back…

i’m only half serious of course. but still. i wonder.

Another shortcut: Heart and head. My heart wants us to keep marching on through the centuries, making great art, loving our friends and family, protecting the earth instead of destroying it, etc. My head tells me we’ll do some of that, but not enough. Not nearly enough.

    well said billy.

I like Floyd–he’ll be a good addition on the edge in this division with Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, and the Niner’s running / screen game. Floyd’s unique speed and athleticism will help against those teams.

I don’t know how many OL the Rams can really add in the draft. They already have 7 or 8 guys that I bet they like with Whitworth, Corbett, Noteboom, Allen, Blythe, Edwards, Evans, and maybe Brewer.

I know many don’t think much of Allen, but I recently watched some of the first games, and I thought he looked pretty good for a guy who was basically a rookie. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams see Allen as their center for the next 5 years.

That said, they’ll probably trade up from 52 and grab a center in the draft!

i think they still need to find a left tackle to take over for whit. and this is the draft to do it.

i’m not yet convinced of allen. they should find a center if possible.

i think with what they have currently they should be able to fill in the other three spots.

not so much for the present but the future.
