GreatRamNTheSkyParticipant
Interesting that Cusomano calls his show the “Hollywood Casino”. Hollywood Park has a Casino which is being relocated and will remain open just down the street from the new stadium.
Why does a guy in St Louis call his show the Hollywood Casino? Never made sense to me.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantCusomano is such a whining cry baby. Geez man grow a pair and turn off the faucet.
He lied to us! God he sounds like a jilted lover.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantbnw you are going to love watching Rams games at 3:00 in the afternoon on Sundays. Just think, you’ll have the whole day pretty much to do whatever and you can still catch your favorite team.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantYou know, WV have you ever heard of Facebook? I know that there are lots of Rams pages on facebook where the fans post LA Times articles all the time. In fact, on Twitter the LA Times writers such as Sam Farmer who covers the NFL post links to their stories.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI love football so I will watch both games. To me the Brady vs Manning is more interesting.
I personally want to see Carolina fail because I don’t like their owner Jerry Richardson.Would be great to see Rancho Santa Margarita boy Carson Palmer get a Super Bowl ring.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantSure, why not get a CFL team. CFL is a good brand of football and has been around for decades.

January 24, 2016 at 7:40 am in reply to: Can St. Louis Rams PSL Holders Buy L.A. Season Tickets & other StL PSL isssues #37960GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantLicensee acknowledges that Licensee has no claim against the Rams with respect to this [PSL] and/or its termination whatsoever. Licensee understands and acknowledges the possibility that the Rams may not play its gams in the Stadium or St. Louis for the entire term contemplated by this License. Licensee expressly agrees not to sue the Rams for damages or injunctive relief relates to this [PSL], including without limitation should the Rams not play its home games in the Stadium or in St. Louis for any reason.”
This language alone defeats any law suit on behalf of PSL owners.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantJust as I said going back many years. Knowing of the top tier clause almost from its inception I knew in my heart it was in John Shaw’s mind that the Rams were eventually moving back to LA.
Kroenke knew this too. The perfect project came along but Kroenke made his intentions know to all when he attempted to buy the Dodgers.
He also made his feeling known in a 2011 article in a UK paper called the Mirror where gushed about how pro athletes long to play in NY or London or LA. Not once did he mention St. Louis.
Yet St. Louis media cried their eyes out that Stan would not talk to them when he had spoken loud and clear by his actions and by that 2011 article. That was all needed to say.Riverdump Stadium in St. Louis was never going to be good enough. The NFL played St. Louis as they have many cities in the past but it was never their intention to force Stan to stay there. Stan knew this and that is why he was good soldier all during the relocation soap opera.
All this bull about bylaws (hah!) and take care of Dean Spanos (hah!) was all just that. Bull! As the old saying goes “Money talks and bullshit walks” and the LA money and Stan’s plan was talking good and loud. 30 to 2 loud in the final vote.
Jerry Richardson (hah!) Bob McNair (hah!) Bob Iger (hah!)
During his final presentation to the owners that fateful Tuesday in Houston, Bob Iger reminded the owners of how much Disney was paying the NFL on TV rights via ESPN and Monday night Football. Jerry Jones it was reported almost immediately pushed back his chair, stood up and told Iger “Last I checked it was your share holders paying the NFL” and laughed in his face and the whole room full of owners began laughing as well.
This whole thing was never as much in doubt or in doubt at all as the media was led to believe and led most of us to believe.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantGet over the butt hurt bnw, the Rams are in LA where they always should have been.
As for the new Stadium and City of Champions project there have been plenty of articles over the past year of what is involved and how the project will be funded and how profits will be made from it.
Search the archives of the LA Times by Sam Farmer and Nathan Fenno.
This is not just about a stadium. Its about a great entertainment district that is going to put LA Live (AEG’s baby) to shame.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantDon’t know if you all saw this yet but the Rams are reported to be pursuing Pat Shurmur as the OC. You know and I know that Bradford was rookie of the year in Shurmur’s offense and probably the thing that hurt Bradford early in his career was Shurmur leaving to be the head coach in Cleveland. Probably hurt Shurmur too as Cleveland is a place where coaches go to die.
Shurmur was again involved with the Eagles offense last season and who was the quarterback? That’s right Sam Bradford. And who had his best season as a pro since his rookie year? That’s right, Sam Bradford.
The Rams had one thing in particular hold them back from being a playoff team last season. Decent quarterback play. Yes, I know, I screamed louder then any of you to get rid of Bradford prior to last season. I was one of those who viewed Bradford as a injury prone China Doll and a alleged elite QB who had never really proven himself to be elite.
Well, if the Rams had Bradford just playing as he did in Philly last year they would have been a playoff team.
The Rams need to win in LA. The Rams clearly need a QB. They are going to be hard pressed to get a veteran signal caller who can win. The top two free agent QBs available, believe it or not are Sam Bradford and Drew Brees and I don’t see the Saints giving up on Brees that easily. Also, Sam is only 28. Brees is 9 years older.
Call me crazy but if the Rams are bringing Shurmur back as the OC can a push to get Sam Bradford be far behind?
As crazy as it sounds, they may even have to overpay to get him back but, you are not going to win with a rookie QB and Case Keenum is not the long term answer.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHi Guys,
According to recent reports this weekend the Chargers are negotiating with the Rams to come to LA ASAP. Me, I’d be shocked if they do.

Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHowdy ZN! I think they could draft a couple of DEs as well. But if Paxton Lynch (Memphis QB) is there when they pick first, I don’t see how they could pass him up. Or Hogan from Stanford for that matter.
Good to talk just football again. So sick of the relocation soap opera.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI think you’re right WV. I think Quinn is going to be okay and I would not be surprised to see the Rams draft another pass rusher for the left side as Chris Long will be 31 years old next season.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantWV my old friend,
Rams need consistent play from the quarterback position. If they had at least received decent QB play this season they would have been a wild card team. As you recall all we needed was on TD against the Steelers and that game was ours. A missed field goal against Vikings cost us that game and the Ravens game. Rams win those three games and they’d be in the playoffs because they would have the tie breakers vs the Seahawks.
I would say, lets draft the kid QB out of Memphis and lets sign a good veteran QB (Brees) and lets get a go to big play wide receiver.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHello fellas! I’m here! Hope you are all doing well!
Sorry WV, you can move to Cleveland but MY RAMS belong in LA!
Yes ZN your right, I did email Shaky. Les Baker before I was blocked from the Herd Board again
made a bet with me and he wagered if the Rams move back to LA that he would leave the Herd board. Well the little weasel is still posting which proves what a welcher he is.Agamemnon, I use to like the Chargers but this bull that Spanos and Fabiani tried to pull this last year has left a bad taste in my mouth about that organization. Spanos and Mark Davis got bitch slapped by the owners 30 to 2 on the vote and they were in shock and I loved it.
LA is Rams Country!
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantYes, I have heard lots of people talk about Zack and frankly it makes no sense. The Titans are not close to being a winner. Rivers would be waisted on the Titans. Rivers is not a QB you bring in when you are building your team.
He’s old, he’s got some physical issues and I am not even sure with a Super Bowl ready team he’s the guy you’d want.I think a better trade for Tenn would be with the Rams. Foles and the number 10 pick plus a 4th this year and that would be beneficial for the Titans and the Rams. Rams get Mariot or Winston, depending on who Tampa takes.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantIf the Titans trade away then number 2 pick overall for a 33 year old never have won anything QB then they are plain stupide and deserve to be fleeced.

February 7, 2015 at 10:29 am in reply to: Kroenke meets with Peacock & other relocation stuff #18122GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantPeacock stalked him at an NFL party and cornered him to hold a conversation. Stan is not going to run away and was probably very respectful to Peacock. Stan has made his deal, he might encourage Peacock but he’s not buying into plopping down a half million to support a stadium he will not own. Not when he’s going to make millions off the City of Champions deal in Inglewood.
