I converted to posting a lot of links instead of articles because of the high volume of stuff out there. It’s cause the Rams are in LA (more coverage) and cause they’re a winning team now with more visibility. It just takes a lot longer to post that many articles. Plus the high volume of articles does not mean an increase in new and original news–a lot of it is just repetitive. I figure, posting link threads lets the poster choose what to read. That shouldn’t change anything for posters–except for the OC Register and the LA Times, most links are directly accessible. I can’t always post the articles from those 2 sources cause they limit access.
I should add, just out of a bit of board pride, that we here at the huddle post more press stuff (articles, article links, tweets, vids) that anybody else.
If anybody hits a link and likes the article just pull it up whole on the board and draw attention to it. That makes them part of conversation and not just another bit in unlively “list-o-links” threads.
