I wouldn’t exactly call it a marquee matchup. Rams-Eagles isn’t great with Philly falling apart but 2017 rematch, Goff-Wentz, both NFC, etc.

Rams Q&A: Vinny Bonsignore
I felt like the Lions game was a little bit of rust, maybe even the offense kind of overlooking the opponent. I feel like Monday, the Rams offensive line just couldn’t win the one-on-one battle against the Bears defensive front. Jared wasn’t under pressure, it was literally playing in duress. The Bears were all over him. What’s worse: They did it mostly with four guys, which meant seven dropping back in coverage. And even worse than that: The Rams sometimes had to go to max protection, which meant taking a player that should have been running a route as a receiver out of the equation. There were times when it was six or seven Rams blockers vs. four pass rusher and only three receivers working against seven defenders. Not only was Goff throwing under intense pressure, but he was also throwing into a major numbers game disadvantage
I think the Rams literally got humbled a little bit. They got beat up, especially up front. I think some pride comes into play when that happens. I do believe there will be a prideful response moving forward.
, I felt the offensive line had a bad game. That was the main culprit. But I also felt the Bears executed a great game plan to perfection and also have the players capable of carrying it out. That’s a fast, physical, talented defense.
The whole offense was bad, but it all starts at the line and the fact is, the Rams got whipped up front by a very, very good defensive front. The failure to pass protect and run block changed the whole dynamic of the game. That said, I expect a big-time rebound from the offensive line moving forward
This is a very confident, mature and smart team. They didn’t freak out or anything. They were just immediately intent on moving forward and getting back on track
I’d also like to see that Bears defensive front out of their home element feeding off the crowd again before I say the Rams just can’t handle them.
There is no doubt the Bears were inspired by a very loud crowd while playing in a game the whole city was deeming a quasi Super Bowl. Put that same team at the Coliseum in a game that means just as much to the Rams and yes, I think it’s a different type of game.
the DL has been guilty of focusing too much on getting upfield as pass rushers and lost gap responsibility as a result. I do think the Rams will look to beef up ILB, DL S and OLB in the draft
