We’ve seen QB’s like RG3 go into half zone reads etc etc and Teams figured it out, plus RG was a good runner with 4.3 speed, which Goff isn’t….

Both Ryan and Winston came from Pro Style O’s and Jimbo Fisher;s O is considered more Complex than some NFL O’s, so….

Ryan had Great Footwork dropping back from Center, something Goff has never done, nor has he done the footwork required to run a Pro Style O ever…

Now there are some comparisons on Goff/Ryan arm strength body type etc etc but then again Ryan had Better talent on that O as a rookie and had better Coaching in College…

I really am not knocking Goff, but plain and simple, he didn’t have the Coaching in College, The Experience it Takes, The Training those Guys Got….

Though…when Goff was there he was allowed to use the read option, make the final play call, audible out, instead of just a pitch and throw on the play called..

And yes the more run calling was part of it, since it been reported if Goff didn’t like what he saw for a pass, he would call the run more often than not… Goff does have more training than some Idiot from a Shotgun College shotgun……….

I think the biggest issue with the Air Raid/Bear Raid is it is primarily ran out of the shotgun and when the QB gets to the NFL he doesn’t have the drop back from center technique, and that takes a little time to develop.

QB’s dropping back with their head turned limits field of vision, then when they set, they have to scan, read, and recognize quickly…that’s the issue. That’s a tough row for a rook.

Play action is also a learned skill and takes time performing this from under Center.

So what if the QB hands off from the gun….really has nothing to do with development. …except when he has to hand off with his back to the RB….and that has to be learned.

On the other hand, Goff definitely made adjustments at the line and read D’s in college…if you watched him on Chucky’s QB camp there was plenty of evidence to this.

Most know there are gonna be mistakes…the hope is the graph trends down. I’m not really concerned with Goff learning this, as he has shown to be a tireless worker…and I like that.
