Bad loss. Rams unravelled a bit in the 4th.

yeah. they did not close out. defense layed a fourth quarter egg. offense couldn’t get first downs.

the rams got screwed on what would have been a td to ferguson but no excuses. they shoulda closed out. especially with three turnovers. big plays killed them.

    i’m so sad.

special teams let the team down. coverage teams. punting. kicking.

    and that fluke 2 pt conversion… i’m sad….

    That ending sucked.

    I’m also sad.

I hope they learn from their collapse in all three areas in the fourth quarter.

Surprised they didn’t bring more pressure on the two point conversion.

    Ugh

I’m surprisingly ok. The absence of Quentin Lake has proven to be quite significant. I feel like the Rams are in good shape for the playoffs if Adams and Lake are back at full strength.

It is the worst loss of the season for a couple of reasons. First, because of the game’s importance.

But more so because this game was a collapse. The other losses weren’t “collapses.”

They had the game won, and lost on ST, defense, and offense. Teamwide failure.

    Oh well.

Maybe the 9ers will bail the Rams out here.

And, on the bright side, the Rams have 11 days to prepare for the Falcons.

The importance of which cannot be overstated.

Thanks for that. I sense the board was about to go off on some aimless excursion to a place filled with rants about losing the One Seed and losing home field advantage through the playoffs and not winning the division…

You got us back on course.

I thought the Seahawks had a slightly better team after they lost the first game.
This time, i thought the Rams were a slightly better team after they lost this game.
    Sigh.

In the first game, Stafford had, like, 130 yards passing. Over 450 yards this time. Who does that against Seattle in Seattle? 3 TDs, no INTs, and a 110 rating — and they lose.

Both games were weird and both teams are evenly matched in weirdly different ways.

Big loss, but it is what it is. The Rams will be in Chicago, or Lambeau or philly or Tampa or Carolina. Perhaps another game in Seattle down the road.

Why does this feel like a playoff loss?

There were so many unbelievable things that happened in that game last night; good and bad, depending on your perspective.

I believe if the Rams win out, and the 9ers beat the Seahawks and win out, and the Seahawks win their other game, the 9ers win the division on tie breakers.

I’d rather have the Rams and Seahawks win out. The Seahawks would be the 1 seed, but we would be the 1 wildcard seed. Meaning we’ll have to go to Tampa or Carolina, but that is better than having to go to Philly, Chicago or Green Bay.

The seattle-sports-media and the mainstream-sports-media are all over the place on what to say about Darnold. How do you characterize his performance last night? There are talking-heads saying he proved he can be a clutch QB, by that performance.

    2 TDs, 2 INTs, 4 sacks, 84 rating. 22/34 270 yards. And a lateral for 2 points.

I dunno. I’m not sure what he proved last night. I guess he proved he can keep grinding away and not give up. Thats somethin.

Ernest Jones does not like the Rams, btw.

To say the least, tough loss. Special teams killed them again. Plus, situational awareness miss on the two-point backward pass play. Early in the game, not being able to get 7 twice was obviously crucial. I was happy that they at least made it a game in OT by scoring a TD.

Anyway, they still have a shot at a bye, but they can’t sleep on the Falcons or the Cards. Gotta win out and get some help from Chicago, looks like.
