Per Sean McVay: Colby Parkinson is in concussion protocol.

Omar Speights has a high ankle sprain and is likely to be doubtful this week.

Tyler Higbee and Rob Havenstein are making good progress for his return

Rams TE Colby Parkinson is in concussion protocol but is expected to be available Sunday, McVay said. ILB Omar Speights (high ankle) is doubtful. TE Tyler Higbee (hip) and OL Rob Havenstein (ankle) will be monitored this week. OL Steve Avila will practice and could start.

The #Jaguars placed TE Brenton Strange on injured reserve. He’s out at least four games.

Notable with the Rams facing the Jags in Week 7.

Strange is 1st on the team in receptions (20) and 2nd in receiving yards (204).

Troy Reeder and Shaun Dolac will split the LB reps with Omar Speights out.

The Rams aren’t considering injured reserve right now for Speights, who has a high-ankle sprain. They have two games left until the bye week.

Lamar Jackson’s status is “very much in doubt” for Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

Jackson isn’t practicing today, either. That’s a bad sign for his chances of playing against the Rams.

Just realized Joe Noteboom filled in for Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley last week and could presumably do so again on Sunday if Stanley remains out.

He gave up 5 pressures but no sacks and had a pass-blocking grade of 18.7.

Rams NT Poona Ford currently ranks 4th in overall defensive grade (87.8) and 3rd in run defense grade (86.7) among all interior defensive linemen in the NFL (minimum 50% snaps played), according to @PFF. Ford also ranks T-7th in tackles causing unsuccessful plays for the offense (10) among all IDL through 5 games, according to TruMedia.

Sean McVay said Steve Avila has done a good job in practice this week and practiced and played the way he’s capable of, indicating Avila will step back in at LG this Sunday at Ravens.

“Expect Steve to be ready to roll and do his thing on Sunday.”

That would be good news if the Rams ever beat backup QBs.

Based on pregame warmups, Steve Avila indeed appears to be back starting at LG for the Rams today

Troy Reeder slated to start next to Nate Landman at ILB in Rams’ base defense, also based on warmups

Well, they shot themselves in the foot plenty, but won anyway. 😎
