Finally, as the analyst who once described McVay’s communications to Goff as “cheating,” Simms should weigh the NFCCG as more than just a casual exception. Goff played with Mannion’s helmet at one point, stuffed his ear holes to dampen the noise &got 13 scrimmage yds from Gurley.

One of the reasons McVay was so bullish on #Rams job – there were other suitors, and more would have emerged in time – is the deep film dive he took into Goff that convinced him Goff was a worthy QB prospect to hitch himself to. In that sense, Goff is very much McVay’s “guy”

The #Rams plan for Todd Gurley is to maximize the back end of the season by better controlling the front end. Everything they’re doing is to put him on track for optimal late-season efficiency. Think Kawhi Leonard & #Raptors.

they’ll use [Gurley] wisely, in conjunction with Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson, through the course of the season. I don’t expect him to carry the massive workload he did the last couple of seasons

Earlier this week I talked to @AaronRodgers12 and new @packers HC Matt LaFleur about adjusting to one another and solving the Audible Dilemma.

What Silver says about that issue sheds some light (indirectly) on the Rams offense too.

    from https://www.profootballrumors.com/2019/06/bay-area-notes-joseph-joyner-raiders-49ers-mcglinchey-celek

As for Joyner, the Raiders are following through on their spring talk of playing him as a slot corner. The player the Rams used as a safety starter the past two years worked exclusively as a slot defender during the minicamp and OTA sessions available to the media…. The Raiders gave Joyner a four-year, $42MM contract. If they intend to confine him to slot duty, this would make him the league’s highest-paid pure slot corner — a distinction Kenny Moore was believed to hold when he signed a Colts extension this week. Joyner worked as a corner for the Rams from 2014-16 and would join Trent Brown as recent Raiders signees asked to change positions.

from RantoulRam , analysis from re-viewing of 2018 games

Noteboom…played the whole 49ers game at left tackle and had a number of noticeable great plays, especially in run blocking. Fairly small sample size and 49ers were trash, but still I am very high on his potential.

Tyler Higbee made some big plays/catches, including some very athletic plays in clutch spots. I know his stats aren’t great but maybe we are underestimating him.

Corey Littleton was a huge find. I have a feeling he may end up being an all-pro.

Obviously, this is not a new observation, but Goff still can improve a lot. I am on the “he has gotten better every year he started, and is only 24” bandwagon, but as many good plays as he makes, he has the potential to make a lot more.

I’m old enough to remember when people didn’t talk about Todd Gurley’s most complex joint in his body more than Todd Gurley’s actual production on the field…

Imagine getting to work every day with your best friend – who also happens to be your dad. Zak Kromer and his father Aaron live that blessing out as Rams assistant coaches. On this Father’s Day, enjoy this father and son story from @VinnyBonsignore.

how about that story where aaron and zak went out and beat the crap out of a couple minors?

gotta love those father son moments.

Ha! Good times, good times. The actual Wikipedia quote is a lot worse than you made it out to be:

He was later suspended for 6 games by the Buffalo Bills after punching a child in the face, throwing his fishing pole in the lake, then threatening to kill his entire family.

Kind of sounds like a Fisher hire.
