I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of conversation in NE locker room after this game.

    Not mine.

I will be on the road, unfortunately. It is the only non-Rams game this weekend I’d like to sit down and watch.

I agree with him that Philadelphia will give Tampa a harder time than people expect them to.

Actually, I agree with everything he said in his evaluations, but I think SF will beat Dallas.

I’m just throwing this out here. I don’t want the Packers next weekend. Not when they have home field, have had two weeks to prepare, and the Rams have 6 days to get ready, with one of those days shot with travel. I don’t like that at all. The NFC Championship…okay. But not next week.

Which is all to say that I won’t know whom I am rooting for in SF/Dallas until the Bucs/Eagles game is decided. I hope the Rams go to the Bucs, but I’d be happy to go to Dallas, too. In fact, I like the Rams’ chances of beating Dallas more than I like their chances of beating Tampa. Especially if there is bad weather in Tampa. But absolutely do not want GB next weekend.

    Rams at 4:10.

Rochell and SJD don’t appear on that list, so does that mean they will be back for sure?

And I wonder what Aeneas Williams is doing this week. Toby Wright has surely had enough time to rehab.

Toby Wright, man. That guy got robbed, and we got robbed.

No one here yet I don’t think.

I don’t think so, either. I would be interested in someone’s thoughts on it, though.

It would take a pretty strong recommendation from someone for me to watch it. I don’t find sports movies enjoyable, generally. I liked “Brian’s Song,” but I was eleven when I saw it, so….

Generally speaking, though, sports movies are bad, except when they’re very bad.

And for the Warner story, you know, we were all There when it happened, and I’m pretty sure the Live event was far more gratifying than this movie is, especially since…it’s probably sappy.

But I would like a review from a Rams fan. Not interested in reading professional reviews.

    Running back

    32. Darrell Henderson Jr.: 68.7

    40. Sony Michel: 65.8

That doesn’t pass the eyeball test.

I agree that there will be a lot of talk, and rightfully.

Personally? I can be patient. They have the stars on offense and defense, they just need to be a more consistently effective team. If they don’t do it this year, I have reasonable expectations they can do it in one of the following years.

    That’s what I think, too.

Losing to the Cardinals would be pretty bitter, though. I don’t think I would shake that off very quickly, and given the expectations for the season, I will consider that a very bad end to the season. “Disaster” would be overstating it. Disaster would have been missing the playoffs altogether without a clear injury excuse.

I think this is kind of funny, but…I don’t think the OL is the issue.

    Here’s a question:

At what point is the season a disaster?

The Rams went all in on a Super Bowl this year. Big trade for the missing piece at QB. In season acquisitions of Von Miller and OBJ.

What if they lose to AZ? Or the following week?

I mean…Goff got them to the 2nd round of the playoffs last year with a broken thumb on his passing hand.

If the Rams don’t get to at least the Championship, people are going to spend a lot of time talking about that.

We can beat the Cowboys. They are a suckie team.

Not much chance of the Rams meeting up with Dallas. It would be in the NFC Championship. Unless the Eagles beat Tampa.

I don’t remember Weddle playing that great.

I remember Weddell playing somewhere between Mediocre and Poorly.

And that was two years ago.

I think he will be on the sideline in a case with a glass door to be broken in an emergency.

I guess they couldn’t sign John Johnson instead, for some reason.

Sometimes I don’t like the way the “legal” stuff works in the NFL.

    10 home games next year.

11 if you count Raymond James as a home game.

    I agree.

I haven’t seen the Packers or Bucs play much, but I have heard radio blabbers say they are vulnerable. The Packers, I think, have the edge. They have home field advantage. They’ve been consistent. And their QB is pretty good. 4 INTs all year, I think I saw.

    The Bucs have some injuries.

And the 49ers are just pretty good. Weaker secondary and QB play, but very good everywhere else. And they are coached goodly.

The Rams will beat AZ. But I don’t see them winning 4 in a row. I don’t see them winning 3 in a row. I’m hoping for 2. Get to the championship. I would take that result pretty gladly.

A secondary that was over-flowing with talent last year is now a bit thin.

The 49ers won the battle in the trenches. The defensive line pressured Stafford 28 times. On the other side of the ball, the 49ers’ offensive line only allowed seven total pressures of Jimmy Garoppolo.

If I was coach, I would start with this fact before the next game against SF.

I would love to see a third one. Thrilla in SoFilla.

That whole weekend was marvelous, for NFL fans.
Some of the best games of the year all
    clustered together.

Yes to both of those things.

I wouldn’t place any money on it without some outstanding odds, but I don’t think it would defy the gods for a 3rd matchup to happen.

I think the Rams and 9ers both win next week. And I don’t think it’s crazy to think SF can beat GB and the Rams win in Tampa the following week.

And that’s what I’m hoping for.

BTW, I officially hate the 9ers again. Like…I hate them. So that’s good.

Matthew Stafford’s passer rating yesterday when targeting:

    Kupp: 158.3
    All other WRs: 16.3

That does not include TE, though. Just saying.

Yeah, I’m not sure I’ve seen as bad an Oline performance as I saw
in that second half. 49ers just mauled everything that moved

The 9ers D was getting after it the first half, but the Rams were winning anyway. They put up 17 points on them.

The 2nd half was as you say.

So the question is why. The personnel didn’t change at the half. And the scheme didn’t change. They were still sending only 4 on most downs. But they just trashed the Rams’ OL in the second half.

The thing that makes the most sense to me is that Shanahan amped up his team at the half, and told them their season was on the line, and that if they didn’t get after it with everything they had, they weren’t going to go to the playoffs. And McVay said, “Attaway, guys! Keep it up!”

And the 9ers lit the Rams up with their intensity until McVay regrouped the team on the sideline.

Let’s hope he learns from that.

eems like the #2 seed should get that slot because they don’t have to travel if they win.

    But…whatever.

The Rams should beat AZ, and they do seem to own the deed to Raymond James stadium.

    So let’s just do that.

    All in favor, say Aye….

    Crap.

    Rams play Monday night.

Then travel on a short week.

I don’t like that at all.
