    I think it’s obvious SF takes Minn, and Baltimore takes Tenn.

    Houston loses, seems obvious too.

    That’s all home teams, but I think Seattle beats GB.

    Back of the envelope math but Fassel’s coverage units from 2013-2018, using what yards are worth translated to points, gave the Rams about 56 points or 7 points a season better than average. This is k/p returns and coverage of k/p

    So much of the #Rams situation moving forward is about how they will utilize Todd Gurley/how comfortable they are with his 16-game viability/usage. You can’t ask Sean McVay to coach around a Todd Gurley-lite again.

    John Fassel’s departure would be consistent with what I heard yesterday, in terms of Sean McVay looking to reshape his staff in line with his needs now as a head coach, as opposed to 2017. Understandable, but very big swings.

    League office has done a hell of a lot: identifying worthy coaching and GM candidates and giving that data base to each team; holding coaching clinics for further identification for teams, and much more. This is an owner issue.

    I always think it’s hilarious when people scoff at what an NFL team pays a coach. He’s a Top 3 most important person in your football operation, and there’s no salary cap on him.

    (Plus, NFL teams clear 9 figures in nat’l revenue before making a dime on their own.)

    For sure. And that’s completely how it comes across. And that doesn’t mean thought wasn’t given to the offense either. But yet only one major coaching move has been made since then.

    Brockers posted the 5th-Highest Run Stop % among DIs (min. 250 run plays) and earned the 7th-Highest Rush Defense grade among DIs (min. 250 total plays)

    Non-tape watchers say Big Brock isn’t good anymore, but don’t realize he was a key cog to the run defense being one of the better units in the league.

    I’m told #Rams RB coach Skip Peete won’t be back w/ the team. Peete was one of the last remnants of the Jeff Fisher era and a coach that running back Todd Gurley lobbied McVay to keep on staff in 2017. It signals the Rams are going to throw everything at solving Gurley’s plateau.
