    I think it was always likely that Fowler would walk elsewhere this year, and I don’t really have a problem with that.

    Why?

    He may have got 11.5 sacks, but he got them in 6 games. That’s 10 games of little production when a guy on your line is being double and triple teamed.

    Yes, there is also more to playing defense than sacks, but he didn’t even register a QB Hit in any of his 10 games without a sack according to Pro Football Reference.

    For a guy that should be seeing his fair share of single blockers, it’s just too low.

    Just so we’re clear, a contract restructure is not a pay cut. So if you’re asking if current Rams’ contracts could be restructured, the answer is yes, but that money just gets chopped up and moved around. It’s a short-term fix that sometimes can be worth it.

    your typical restructure is base salary into regular bonus, which would be the scenarios.
