ICE relentlessly pursued this Fulbright scholar and forced her to flee the country because she had liked some pro-Palestine posts and signed onto a letter calling for Palestinian liberation.Even the most basic expressions of support for Palestinian human rights or critique of Israel can make you a target for destruction by the Trump regime.

I would hope Eagles success, Bengals’ signings, etc would help lose the false narrative that teams paying top-of-market QBs can’t have superior talent around them due to Cap.
Never been the case.

znModeratorThe Athletic’s Ted Nguyen went a step further and contended that the addition of Adams made the Rams receiving corps one of the most-improved units in the NFL through the first week of free agency. Although it was just one move — and the Rams lost Kupp, Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson, Adams’ presence alongside Puka Nacua gives Los Angeles a sensational one-two punch at receiver.
From Nguyen:
“Adams struggled with drops last season, but he’s still a destroyer of man coverage. Last season, he ranked 12th in yards per route run against man coverage (2.69) while dropping 14.8 percent of his passes against man coverage (fourth-highest among receivers with at least 30 targets). Adams typically has very reliable hands, so this was an outlier season. If his drop rate regresses to the mean, he can still produce a high level in his most stable situation in years.
“Puka Nacua might be the best receiver Adams has ever played with, so Adams will theoretically see his lowest rate of double-teams since the beginning of his career. With coach Sean McVay’s play calling and Matthew Stafford’s arm talent, Adams looks to be set up for a rebound season. The Rams’ offense hasn’t had this sort of threat on the outside since Odell Beckham Jr. joined the team midseason in 2021 when L.A. won the Super Bowl.”

Elon Musk says that no one has died because he slashed humanitarian aid. I went to South Sudan to check if that’s true. It’s not. Within an hour of starting interviews, I had the names of a 10-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl who had died because of decisions by wealthy men in Washington.
The visit that moved me the most was to a remote area that used to have no health care, where women routinely died in childbirth. Then a US-funded maternity clinic opened through
@UNFPA
in December, and not one woman has died since. I showed up, and people mistakenly thought I was responsible for the clinic. One new mom wanted to name her baby for me, and the village elders thanked me and hailed America’s generosity. What they didn’t know was that Trump/Musk had cut all funding for UNFPA and that as a result the maternity clinic will close this month, and women will once again be bleeding to death in the dust.

Coleman Shelton can have an outsized impact on the 2025 Rams offense. Glad to see him back in Royal & Sol.Rams moves this week did wonders to open up their Draft possibilities. Can very much let it come to them in April. I’m not sure there’s a position group I’d rule out? … but no dire needs (go ahead and reply with iLB), which is a great place to be more than a month out.
Cornerback? They’ll absolutely be adding to this room. But multiple starters in house. DWill, Cobie, DK coming back, and some undrafted rookies from ‘24 they like.

ILB C.J. Mosley: Los Angeles Rams
Mosley is the kind of veteran leader in the middle of the defense who could help a Rams team trying to contend for a championship. He could immediately slot in next to Omar Speights at linebacker.

Senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports shared on Friday’s Inside Coverage podcast that he believes the Rams aren’t done making moves this offseason. He also cited the signings of Ford and Adams giving Los Angeles more flexibility in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I honestly don’t think the Rams are done either…I actually like how he (Davante Adams) fits with Puka. Then you bring Tutu Atwell back on a one-year deal, what that tells me is they’re probably going to address wide receiver again, probably in the draft at some point. Maybe early in the draft, I don’t think they’re done adding to that offense but they give themselves flexibility.”

znModeratorMy humble submissions…
There’s elements missing. So I don’t think they qualify.
1. Must be late in a post-season game.
2. Must be a close game.
3. The play in question has a do-or-die, absolute game deciding effect.
4. Must lead–either immediately or in that post-season–to a super bowl win.
5. I, zn, must agree with the choice. There is another, lower, less demanding tier of plays that have much less strict criteria. In fact they don’t even always have to result in a win. In this next tier down, the play is named after the player. The key here is that when they are named, every Rams fan automatically knows the play–no further explaining needed.

znModeratorAlso had one of the Rams alltime great plays. The 4th down run. Its up there with the Ricky Proehl catch.
So as Rams fans we have–
the catch
the tackle
the 4th n 1
We need a run that is “the run.”
znModeratorit’ll be interesting to see what the rams do in the draft. do they try to complement nacua and adams with a third receiver and try to recreate the woods, kupp, obj trio? that’d be wild.
I think they wanted Adams because he complements Nacua better than Kupp, plus Kupp missed 19 games in the last 3 seasons while also being the 2nd highest cap hit on the team. I doubt Kupp could play a whole season again on the Rams really bad, hard home turf at Sofi.
No Rams fan will forget the best of Kupp, though, including being the only weapon Stafford had to finish their super bowl winning game. We all have the great memory of the Rams final drive when they took over down 16-20 in the 4th quarter, and on that drive Kupp caught 4 for 39 yards and a TD, plus converted the crucial 4th and 1 on a 7 yard run.

WR Cooper Kupp’s asking price has been as high as $15M per year, per sources. It sounds like he’d take less for a preferred destination. But if teams are willing to hit $15M, it would widen the list of landing spots. The Seahawks, Saints, Cowboys and Broncos are among the teams that have shown varying levels of interest in Cooper Kupp, per sources. The Cowboys are a long shot at the moment.

Sources: The sense around the league is that former #Rams WR Cooper Kupp doesn’t plan on having a long, drawn-out process and prefers to make a decision quickly.Kupp has interest from at least five teams, and the expectation is he’ll decide sooner rather than later. It’s unclear if he’ll take any free-agent visits.

McVay put Tutu in the box. He asked him to do a thing. He felt Tutu could do it. Tutu couldn’t.By size, speed, quickness … McVay felt Tutu could be a return guy- McVay was wrong.
He’s had a role, a good niche role and in that he’s done just okay. Not great. Not bad – for a deep threat we all hoped for more. And in gadget plays … not tremendous, either. returns? Nada
The mistake, though, and you may agree, is that McVay should have never taken him as high as he did.
If Tutu were a 5th round pick, then anything he did would be acceptable. But with a premium pick — the hope is that they are impact players.
No one argues that he’s that.

I know of 3 teams that are interested in Cooper Kupp. The question is what it will cost to sign him and what he and his reps are looking for $ wise. He certainly will be motivated and has good football left in the tank.
