wvParticipantHe could be better post-surgery
Hope so, but I’m assuming he hasn’t
be able to really work out for a while.I’ll be mildly surprised if he is the
Same Ole Savage William Hayes.w

I’ll bet fewer than 5 years.
Yeah, i edited my post to say that,

Indeed.

meaning of the word. I was oblivious

wvParticipantI really want the Rams to keep both and don’t want either on the PS. At this rate, I may be wrong about Sam surviving the PS and he’s going to be something special, too.
Chris Long won’t be here forever, neither will William Hayes and you win over the long haul by continuing to stockpile talent at positions of strength, not just filling holes.
Keeping both Westbrooks AND Sam is the smart move.
The William Hayes injuries/surgeries are
a big deal to me. That guy is a force.
A physical presence.
Like Harkey on offense.I’m assuming Hayes will no longer be the
wrecking ball we have come to know.
Big Loss, imho.w

wvParticipantJust think WV, Kroenke moves the Rams to LA you can probably put the franchise right there somewhere in the top 14 and probably right next to the Dodgers at number 6.
Grits
I would think the Rams would be in the top 15 if they
moved to LA, Grits. As long as Georgia aint the owner 🙂
Kroenke doesnt need the money
though, Grits. Its not
always, totally about money
for some of these guys.w

wvParticipantHello Ram Fans!
I have a fantasy football league question for you. I am in a FFL league (Team Name: Sacks and the City) and our draft is tomorrow night. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am unable to participate because my husband and I will be out celebrating my retirement!! (Yes after approx. 30 years in the corporate world I am thrilled to be able to say goodbye and start a new phase of my life: volunteering, travel and catching up on fun things like RAMS FOOTBALL!)
Anyway….there are several options available for the ‘auto-pick’ option in my league. For example you can set a ‘pick by pick’ strategy for the positions on the team. I typically go for a RB in the first round but last year all the guys in the league started picking QBs….and as I was last pick in the draft, so did I. So my question is this…. should I just let the auto-pick do it’s thing and not worry about it OR should I do something like ‘Best RB available’ in the first round?
I’m really looking forward to posting with you all this year. Life has been far too crazy and I haven’t been able to spend much time on hobbies for the past several years. I can not WAIT to spend this season with you all.
Thanks so much in advance!!!
-LRF —> who has a LOT of catching up to do!!! GO RAMS!!!
Good to see you on the board.
I got no FFL knowledge though.

wvParticipantI’m just glad there’s a Salary cap
and all teams — rich and ‘poor’ — spend
the same amount on the players’ salaries.Otherwise Jerry Jones would be buying championships
ala Georg Steinbrenner, etc.w

wvParticipantWell, Fisher has an owner that has
given him everything he wants;
he has a bunch of handpicked allstar coaches;
he’s had the benefit of RG3 trade;
he’s built this team with his players —
so wv-ram does not wanna see anymore .500-ish seasons. And I wanna see a Lombardi Trophy in year
3, 4, or 5.And i want Cake

on the internet.w
v
wvParticipantAgain, great stuff,
as per usual.I would like to just forfeit
the preseason games now,
and get to the regular season.w

Anyway, think about it though–how many teams in NFL history had 2 guys who drew double teams?
I think with virtually every great defense, if you replaced one guy from the DL, it wouldn’t be as good. (The “as” is important there.) Sapp? Greene? Page? Kirksey?
Well, Quinn is the onliest player on this team who regularly draws a double-team
I think. Maybe Cook from time to time. But I’d like to see a WR on this team emerge to the point where
he draws a double-team.w

wvParticipantRFL: “And ultimately that’s the big problem with the “we don’t want to give anything away” explanation–I’d say excuse–of what’s been happening….”
Yeah, we just disagree. I think Williams will run a blitz-heavy attack, with DBs challenging the WR’s
fiercely within 5 yards. I also think he’ll mix things up a lot.
Thats certainly NOT what they did in the first two preseason games.
And yes, i think there is every reason to not show the schemes they are going to play.At any rate, i really wanna see how GW and the D
handle Mr Peterson of the Vikings. I’m real
curious about how that will go. If i’m not mistaken
he ran for about a million yards last time.w

After a week that saw a militarized police crackdown and the imposition of a nighttime curfew, Amnesty International USA has taken an “unprecedented” step by sending a 13-person delegation to monitor the developments in Ferguson, Missouri. It is the first time the Amnesty organization has deployed observers inside the United States. We speak to Steven Hawkins, executive director of Amnesty International USA.

wvParticipanti’m surprised with the Manziel love fest that this game is not live on NFL Net…..
BTW, It’s 9PM PDT, not PST…….. PST will take effect on until Nov 2, 2014.
Well I’ve never even heard of PDT.
Can you do the time-algebra and tell me
what time the game will be on in the EAST ?w
vAugust 18, 2014 at 4:00 pm in reply to: Williams happy to wait for season to unveil his defense? #4324
wvParticipantI share these concerns. Game three I need to see something. If it takes two games for this defense to gel…..in this division, it’ll all be over
Well, yer not gonna see Aaron Rogers,
so, i imagine the D will look
significantly better.w
v
wvParticipantI think they are busy game-planning for
the Vikings. All i care about is that the OLine
gets to game one, totally healthy.w
vAugust 17, 2014 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Williams happy to wait for season to unveil his defense? #4280
wvParticipantI really think they are going to “unveil” this defense like a new hot rod at an Auto Show…
Or like the Eagles Offense last year. If we all know Greg Williams at all, it will be a statement game. He’ll want ESPN to LEAD with talk of the Rams Defense…
Which means he really won’t care much about the preseason insofar as he won’t want to give ANYTHING away.
Well, i guess were gonna find out
if the Rams can stop the Run.
I think the Vikings have a
purty good RB if I’m not mistaken. You know, if the North-men
kapp-size the Rams
we’re all gonna have to deal
with the terrible-WRATH
of Mr RFL.w

wvParticipantFirstly, let’s all take it down a notch. We’re all just talking football.
Secondly, it’s preseason. So, it’s almost impossible….
Well, but, we’ve been on this particular board

something about that.
Or did i hallucinate that?w
