wvParticipantStafford9@LAR9MS
Rams All-Time Passing TD leaders:1. Roman Gabriel: 154
2. Jim Everett: 142
3. Matthew Stafford/Marc Bulger: 12233 more and Matthew Stafford will be the Rams All-Time leader!!!
Games played:
Roman Gabriel: 130
Jim Everett: 107
Marc Bulger: 96
Matthew Stafford: 67————
Well, it was a hell-uva lot harder to throw TD’s back n Roman’s days. Defense dominated.
I’ve been thinking about that lately, because there are several NFL defenses this year that remind me of the olden days. Denver for one. Philly. But also Seattle and even the Rams to some extent.
I have no idea how these defenses can look so good, given the rules today. It makes me smile, though.

wvParticipantI was expecting the Rams to have a bit of a let-down after the Seattle game.
And sure enough, they came out flat and only won by 27.
You guys should listen to me more.
Panthers, Cards, Lions, Seahawks, up next. Carolina now tied with the Bucs at 6-5.

wvParticipantJust about all this kid’s stuff is good. He has a good vid on Luigi, for example.
Josh Johnson.
wvParticipantGood deal. I thought he would cost more, actually.
Ok, how did i not know this undrafted dude was from Zimbabwe ? I read this board everyday, and no-one ever said Landman was from Zim-bob-whey. (formerly Rhodesia)
Landman tweaked his hamstring during his 40 and only ran 4.86 at the combine. Maybe thats why he went undrafted.
“… Seven linebackers tried the 3-cone drill in this year’s combine, with times ranging from 6.91 seconds to 7.47 seconds. Landman posted a 6.88.
The five linebackers at the combine ranged from 4.25 seconds to 4.55 seconds in the 20 yard shuttle. Landman posted a 4.32.
“It shows the lateral movements, lateral quickness and a shorter explosion that definitely matches up on tape,” Landman said. “I think I showed today that I can move in space, I can flip my hips and I’m not just a run linebacker, I’m one that can move in space and one that is pretty well-rounded. I can play all downs in the league.”
Mobility in general has been the biggest question mark surrounding Landman’s game throughout the draft process. Some scouts say Landman is best-suited to only play first and second downs to avoid putting him in pass coverage. Landman’s athleticism has never been his selling point as a player but an Achilles injury that ended his 2020 season and cut into his offseason created more concerns. A shoulder injury that ended his 2021 campaign also caused concern but his 20 reps on the bench press should quell any lingering doubts….”
Nate Landman is done with ‘track stuff’ and ready to get back to football

Facts about Zimbabwe:
Zimbabwe gained its independence from the United Kingdom on April 18, 1980, after a period of white-minority rule.Zimbabwe holds the world record for having the most official languages, with 16 in total, including English, Shona, and Ndebele.
There are two active NFL players from Zimbabwe: linebacker Nate Landman of the Los Angeles Rams and defensive end T. J. Maguranyanga of the Washington Commanders.
wvParticipantA stat.
The Seattle Seahawks currently have the most giveaways (turnovers) in the NFL with 20, while the Chicago Bears have forced the most turnovers from opponents with 22. The Seahawks also have the league’s highest turnover rate at 17.3% of drives ending in a turnover, according to NFL.com

wvParticipantThey talk about Rams/Bucs and personnel groupings, trends…
wvParticipantKurt does a nice job teaching about a route concept on INT no.3
(12 minute mark, or so)
wvParticipantI will just reiterate what has already been said 100 times on this board.
Steven Jackson was a man, and he was absolutely robbed by living in a time when the Rams totally sucked. Steven Jackson deserved much, much better.
He is the Rams’ version of Archie Manning. A Hall of Famer on a team of children.
Fwiw, Paul Boudreau was the Offensive line coach, when Bradford and Jason Brown were starting.
He built a lot of good Olines with several teams over the years.
“…Scott Linehan brought Boudreau in as offensive line coach for the St. Louis Rams for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In 2006, his offensive line allowed running back Steven Jackson to rush a career best 1,528 yards.[21] …” wiki

wvParticipantAfter seeing what The Texans DLine did to Josh Allen, i am just happy Matt Stafford survived that early Texan game.
w
v
wvParticipantSo the Rams are up there in George Bush territory, whereas the Eagles are now just a little bit north of Noam Chomsky.
I’m not sure how I feel about that.
Yeah, i could see it coming in some of Snead’s vids:
“I’m telling you there’s an enemy that would like to attack the Rams, again. There just is. That’s the reality of the world. And I wish them all the very best.”
w
v
wvParticipantApparently, Chomsky and his wife had some sort of relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
I never know how much is CIA influenced smear/spin stuff, and what is real. Its the capitalist-end-times-dystopian-matrix after all.

wvParticipantRams are 6.5 point favorites against the Bucs. Which seems bat-shit-crazy to me. I dont get it.
w
vI agree. That’s too low. 😎
Tampa is okay on offense, but their defense is mediocre.
I dunno. Havenstein is one of those guys I like to see out on the field.
Now i realize you have never valued Offensive Line play. You’ve always been a “QB elevates the team” guy.
Also, I think Tampa will be desperate and I suspect the Rams will be drained after the Seahawk game. I would take Tampa and the points

wvParticipantSix Bucs listed as ‘ill’ on the first injury report:
“Six Bucs were listed as ill: starters Graham Barton, Emeka Egbuka, Dan Feeney, Luke Goedeke, Logan Hall and Baker Mayfield.”
wvParticipantRams are 6.5 point favorites against the Bucs. Which seems bat-shit-crazy to me. I dont get it.
w
v
wvParticipantI heard this today: The Carolina Panthers are a perfect 6-0 when they win the coin toss, and a dismal 0-5 when they lose it.
w
v
wvParticipantJoel Klatt: “Stafford is as good as ANY QB in the NFL”
wvParticipantNext 3 QBs the Seahawk defense goes against: Cam Ward, JJ McCarthy, Kirk Cousins.
w
v
wvParticipantIf had to predict the Super Bowl teams…as of today, I’d say:
Chiefs vs Eagles.
w
v
wvParticipantSeahawks held Stafford to his “lowest EPA per drop-back in a game since he joined the rams”
I dunno what that means, but it means somethin.

wvParticipantChris Shula and stuff
wvParticipantK.Wms has 2 fumbles lost this year, has not fumbled since the 1st SF game (ie. hasn’t fumbled in 5 games), is averaging 4.7 a carry and has 750 yards in 11 games (which puts him on a pace for over 1150 for the season). He has 9 TDs total running & receiving. Against the mighty Seattle defense he averaged 7.6 a carry.
That’s pretty good. Decent. Middle of the pack in terms of the league as a whole, but very useful for what the Rams do, which is basically carve you up with Stafford.
Cross fingers for Wms to continue in this vein. It helps.
Sigh. I dont like him. I dont like the way he carries the ball. Every time he has the ball I get the same feeling in my gut i used to have when Az Hakim had the ball.
The league has perfected ball-punching and
I would prefer it if the Rams traded for Larry Csonka.w
v
wvParticipantMina – “…the god damn rams”
wvParticipantI have heard Bill Barnwell is highly respected among football-geeks. I dunno nuthin about him. But he’s on the D.Foxworthy show here, talkin rams v seahawks.
wvParticipantI watched that Mike Macdonald vid. I rarely watch any coach-speak (including McVay) cause its just boring to me, but I wanted to get a better sense of Macdonald.
He’s not glib and jabbery like McVay. Less slick. He’s got the same intensity but its…quieter. He has a sense of humor. I like him.

wvParticipant
wvParticipantRams secondary “leads the entire NFL in coverage grade”
wvParticipant“…Early in the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 11 game against the Detroit Lions, All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson slowly made his way to the locker room with a foot injury. On Monday, it was reported that Johnson suffered a Lisfranc injury and could miss 4-6 weeks — while that wouldn’t make the injury season-ending, it would likely land him on injured reserve through most of the back-half of the regular season.”
