TSRFParticipantI believe that was 2 years ago when Boston got nailed. My daughter’s freshman year at BU… I had to go there and get her computer over to a Best Buy in the middle of it all. 3 lane highways down to one lane, many streets impassible, it was quite the scene.
Sorry if my post read that I wanted to go farther north for more snow; I’m just going to have to leave where I am to retire, and if I’m going to stay in NE, I’ll have to go north.
TSRFParticipantI think he gets too cute at times.
Literally, what the hell is going on with his hair?
I wouldn’t miss him.
TSRFParticipantBump
TSRFParticipantCrap! I had high hopes for Battle.
TSRFParticipantHere’s what I meant by hyperbole (from the article):
The SPLC did not track incidents of hate and harassment in the same way before the election, so the number can’t be directly compared to an earlier period or solely attributed to Trump’s win. Trump himself put some of the blame on the media for amplifying the stories of attacks after the election.
Do I think the Trump victory emboldened a bunch of racists? Yes.
Do I think Trump will go down as one of the worst presidents ever? Yes.
Do I believe all of the hate and racism is a direct result of Trump’s victory? No. It was always here, we’re just viewing it through Trump colored lenses.
TSRFParticipantYeah, this article reeks of hyperbole. Beneath our veneer of progressivism, we as a country are steeped in intollarance. All this would have happened with or without the Donald victory.
I was talking with my brother (yes, ZN; the “wing nut” one who thinks this nation started going to hell when we went off the gold standard). He is a life-long Democrat and held office for several years as the minority leader of his county legislature, somewhere up in NY State. Anyway, I asked him if he was scared of a Trump presidency. He said he was concerned, but not afraid. He called Trump an “agent of change” and thought that it was long overdue (he had nothing good to say about HRC or BO, and said “good riddance”). He just hopes that this is the wake up call the Democrats and Republicans have needed, and that nothing truly bad goes down during the wake up call.
I tend to agree with him. I just hope there are enough checks and balances in our government to weather the Trump presidency.
TSRFParticipantI vote no on Marrone. He showed his colors with the Buffalo exit.
I’d like to see Matt Patricia with a strong, established OC (Norv Turner, anyone?).
Keep the D as the focus, slowly build the O to respectability.
I vote no on Payton. I don’t like anything about the Saints post Bounty Gate.
Here’s my Dayquill induced waking fever dream: If Patricia is hired as a HC, the Pats will replace him with GW. Maybe the egos are too big to allow for that, but boy, wouldn’t that reaffirm the whole “evil empire” theory?
TSRFParticipantSorry to piss on the parade, but if Donnal and Hav are the guards, where exactly do they move GRob inside to? Will one of the three play center?
Do we go with Goff and Mannion at QB (I think we should)?
The specials were special, but I think a lot of that has to do with the coordinator. Can they / will they keep Fassel?
Who plays LT?
TSRFParticipantWounds are best served well salted (and, for really festered ones, a bit of lemon juice too).
TSRFParticipantAll the best to all.
Peace on Earth, good will to all.
TSRFParticipantOK. Point made. I retract my original statement.
TSRFParticipantThe AFC games lined up OK. That is exactly how I’d want the home / road split.
I had the chance to go to the Jets and Pats game this year, but passed on both.
Maybe I’ll go see the Giants game in 2017.
TSRFParticipantStill digesting what this year means. I (and a lot of you) thought that the Rams were going to content for at least a Wild Card spot.
Instead, we got this.
Specials are the only area where I think we have sound coaching, and I’d love to see them keep Fassel, but if they purge the entire coaching staff, I’ll be fine with it.
If I were the owner, I’d direct Fassel to sit Goff and play Mannion for this last game; Goff will be in an entirely new O next year, let Mannion audition for the number 2 next year.
TSRFParticipantHa! I bet that works for not smelling your own farts too.
TSRFParticipantRemember? I’m already trying to forget.
If Mannion starts and wins, I’ll remember in Replay. If not, completely erased from the memory banks.
TSRFParticipantI hope they give Mannion the start and I hope he wins.
Too bad we didn’t trade Keenum to Denver in the preseason and started Mannion from Game 1 until Goff was ready. That way, you know, we would have had a draft pick in hand…
TSRFParticipantJack, he’s a rental. He’s going to cost the Pats about 1.4 M for 3 games, then he is a free agent.
He makes sense for them because they’re going to go deep into the playoffs.
For the Rams, it would have been 3 and done (for 1.4 M)…
TSRFParticipantZack, you stole my thunder. I was going to suggest that Giants’ DC. He put on quite the clinic last night. What a great bunch of DB’s he has! You can tell how much they like to play for him by the effort they put out. Especially that one with dreads…
TSRFParticipantZooey.
Thank you for your words of encouragement, especially on this, the darkest of days for you. I am so sorry for your loss.
I’ll keep going if you do.
Be well, my friend.
TSRFParticipantWhat a great event! Some truly great jazz musicians on hand. You could just see the respect they had for each other and especially for Jimmy.
We also got an update from Jimmy’s wife on the Ana Grace Project, which, true to the motto “Love Wins”, help schools teach children empathy.
Several other parents and siblings of the shooting victims were also there, and the ones who also have foundations got shout outs.
All in all, awesome night, me, my wife and son were all blown away by the music and the message.December 10, 2016 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Sandy Hook Truther Arrested for Threatening to Kill Parent of Murdered Child #60678
TSRFParticipantThe answers to most of those questions are need to know, and you, and the general public including me, don’t need to know. Say what you want about Connecticut Yankees, we do have an almost British respect for privacy (and piracy too).
Really, almost all of those decisions were made to respect the families of the dead. I watched it unfold, almost everyone in the town supported and agreed with every one.

TSRFParticipantBNW… Let’s just be clear on one point: YOU are oil; I am water.
Other than that, thanks for your concern about my daughter. Fingers crossed and here we are a few days away.
Unfortunately, I don’t see the common ground you do. Why do you think the Trump DOJ needs to investigate Sandy Hook? Kind of cut and dried that this was a tragic event caused by a mentally unstable individual.
The peel back is we need to figure out how to help similar mentally unstable people and / or how to keep guns out of their hands.
What do you think needs to be investigated?

TSRFParticipantDissect away. Being “boots on the ground” I can tell you what I think you got right and what I think you got wrong.
We are coming up on the date and it should and will be discussed.
TSRFParticipantJack, I think I just threw up in my throat…

TSRFParticipantBNW, what do any of your posts have to do with the lead story in this thread? I just reread it, didn’t see HRC mentioned once…
Sounds to me like Flynn is a nutcase, or, in a best case, just “misinformed”.
Keep deflecting, keep reliving the past, I’ll always remember how you cheer-leaded for the Donald.
I really, really hope it turns out well, but I’m not optimistic.
TSRFParticipantWe get it, Jack. You want Fisher fired. He just got extended.
Sorry.
TSRFParticipantA sphincter says, “What”?

TSRFParticipantThanks for editing, ZN. I misread the original quote and thought it said “like you”, not “for you”, meaning a direct personal attack aimed at you.
My apologies.
TSRFParticipantNot perfect, but I think and hope it gets the point across.
And yes, I am a card carrying member of Sandy Hook Promise.
Please join.
