TSRFParticipantThis is a very good sign, IMO:
One low-key impressive thing about Sean McVay: when Rams lose, he publicly heaps criticism on himself. When they win, he deflects all praise to players and assistants. Never excuses, never bravado.
A sign of a great leader.
TSRFParticipantEven though I realize this may get me banned from this pie loving board, and I’ve been banned from places almost this nice in the past, there’s only one type of pie I like.
…and that’s Apizza Pie!
TSRFParticipantI miss the Saints as division rivals. They were a very good D in the mid to late ’80’s / early ’90’s.
They’re on quite a roll at the moment. I was hoping Washington was going to beat them last week, but maybe that is for the best.
I think the Rams win a nail biter.
TSRFParticipantHappy Thanksgiving to all.
This is the first year we are true empty-nesters, so it is great to have both kids home (Even though I had to drive them both home from Boston Tuesday night; 6 hours for what is usually a 2.5 hr drive).
TSRFParticipantI don’t buy the argument that he only had back-up QB’s in 2016.
Look how good Goff AND Keenum are doing this year…
I was glad when Fisher was hired, I liked the swagger he brought to the D, but over the years, the O just rotted under him.
I wonder what Fisher thinks when he watches Rams games. I wonder what Martz thinks too.
TSRFParticipantThanks for the review!
I’ll see if the wife wants to go see it tonight or tomorrow.
TSRFParticipantI gave up DirecTV a few years ago (when the first one started college), stuck with the cable network offerings. Here in Metro NY, that is Jets – Bucs and Saints – Bills.
Kind of like watching paint dry..
TSRFParticipantHere in CT, we were on the rain side. You in Maine were on the wind side.
My dentist, as he drilled and drilled Monday morning, said he thought they had gotten 7 inches of rain at their house. Just got cable / internet back, but I do have a back-up hot spot which came in handy all day yesterday.
Hope you have some dry wood handy; supposed to get cold this week.

TSRFParticipantWV… was that a rhetorical question?
There is this thing called “ESPN” where you can look up a game or a team or a player and see their stats.
Kind of blew my mind too, but it is out there.

TSRFParticipantMaddy!
Glad you’re back; where’ve you been?
I should be working, but i’m procrastinating over here…

TSRFParticipantI couldn’t (wouldn’t) watch it, or read more than a paragraph or two.
He’s like a tub of sour cream that is well past its expiration date.
Wonder when those gin blossoms on his face are going to go into full bloom?
TSRFParticipantLong range forecast for East Rutherford, NJ call for… Showers.
TSRFParticipantThat is unbelievable money for a punter, but, he is the best I’ve ever seen.
TSRFParticipantHey, Mac. Glad to hear you have found an area that your whole family agrees with.
Starting to think of a move ourselves, but we’re going to wait and see where our two settle / gravitate to. We’ll either go close or at least somewhat equidistant to them.
I’ve lived in Connecticut my entire 53 years on this sphere, but may be out of here soon.
TSRFParticipantWe’re all going to run when the Trump goon squads are chasing us.
I’ll just have to run a bit faster than whichever one of you I trip…
October 27, 2017 at 5:07 am in reply to: With two weeks to prepare, can Rams challenge the Giants? #76581
TSRFParticipantI’ve been to two Giants games this year; the Chargers game and the Seahawks game.
In the Chargers game, both teams were 0-5. The Giants D started the scoring with a Safety that could have been a TD if Rivers didn’t think quick and swat an early snap out of the back of the end zone. The Giants D played tough for most of the game, but had crucial penalties that kept drives alive.
The Giants O showed some life and it was either team’s game until Eli was sacked and fumbled. Chargers recovered and eventually scored. During the last gasp drive for the Giants, OBJ was lost for the season.
For the Seahawks game, I thought the Giants would be fired up coming off their first win in Denver. The D played very good, and got a fumble recovery that the O was able to convert into 7 points. Unfortunately, that was it for the scoring for the Giants. The D just got worn down, plain and simple. Manning again had a sack fumble turnover.
The Giants D is good. The Giants O has a good rookie TE, an OK tandem of RB’s, a fairly crappy OL and an aging inaccurate stationary QB. Add unimaginative play calling and you have the Rams circa 2016…
TSRFParticipantWow! would only need a half dozen of them babies to make my chowder recipe.
Unless she’s a dwarf. Then I’d need 9.
October 14, 2017 at 5:34 pm in reply to: for Jacksonville, Rams screw the uniform up yet another, different way #76056
TSRFParticipantI know the Rams are stuck with the gold on the jerseys, but are they mandated to where white horns on their helmets (unless wearing throwbacks or color rushes)?
If the answer is no, they should be going with gold horns when they have to wear blue tops.
TSRFParticipantJessie Ventura: the voice of reason.
Never thought i’d ever write those words…
TSRFParticipantMy take: Throw Watkins the damn ball!
If you read between the lines, I think he is a little perplexed. Don’t want him to get angry or surly.
TSRFParticipantThanks for posting, Billy.
Interesting and thought provoking. My main thought being “this has to change, but our elected officials don’t have the stones to change it.” Which leads to sadness…
TSRFParticipantThanks for posting the interview, WV. Lots of hate in the comments below it and a few of the other vids too. Maybe just a microcosm of the world we live in.
TSRFParticipantIf Trump and the Republicans had gotten their way, we’d all be kneeling and it would only get worse from there.
TSRFParticipantNote to GM:
Facial Tats should be a red flag…
TSRFParticipantIsn’t that the same uni they wore against the Bucs on a Thursday night last year or the year before?
The Bucs wore red. It was like mustard against ketchup
TSRFParticipantWV, you seriously shouldn’t be giving away secrets like this. I mean, it’s a dog eat dog galactic segment out there.
Seriously.
TSRFParticipantDamn, didn’t know he was that old.. just thought he looked old.
So many great roles. Loved him in Repo Man and Wild at Heart.
RIP, sir.
TSRFParticipantPA, I disagree that you may have loved the movie more if you had reread the book before seeing it.
I finished reading “The Dead Zone” like a week before I went and saw the movie. I hated it! So much was missing. This character didn’t behave like he did in the book, his wife was supposed to have huge boobs, etc, etc.
Then, about 5 years ago, I watched the movie again. By that point, I didn’t remember shit about the book. I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit (Big Chris Walken fan).
Just my take.
TSRFParticipantThanks for posting all of these, ZN. I really liked the Hekker one. Had a good time in the chat room too. It’s an amazing feeling, this “winning” thing we have going…
TSRFParticipantUnbelievably, every game is going my way, except for this Giants game.
Not sure if my satanic lord has abandoned me, or is just testing me. We’ll see how the second half goes…
