This is a very good sign, IMO:

One low-key impressive thing about Sean McVay: when Rams lose, he publicly heaps criticism on himself. When they win, he deflects all praise to players and assistants. Never excuses, never bravado.

A sign of a great leader.

Even though I realize this may get me banned from this pie loving board, and I’ve been banned from places almost this nice in the past, there’s only one type of pie I like.

    …and that’s Apizza Pie!

I miss the Saints as division rivals. They were a very good D in the mid to late ’80’s / early ’90’s.

They’re on quite a roll at the moment. I was hoping Washington was going to beat them last week, but maybe that is for the best.

I think the Rams win a nail biter.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all.

This is the first year we are true empty-nesters, so it is great to have both kids home (Even though I had to drive them both home from Boston Tuesday night; 6 hours for what is usually a 2.5 hr drive).

I don’t buy the argument that he only had back-up QB’s in 2016.

Look how good Goff AND Keenum are doing this year…

I was glad when Fisher was hired, I liked the swagger he brought to the D, but over the years, the O just rotted under him.

I wonder what Fisher thinks when he watches Rams games. I wonder what Martz thinks too.

I gave up DirecTV a few years ago (when the first one started college), stuck with the cable network offerings. Here in Metro NY, that is Jets – Bucs and Saints – Bills.

Here in CT, we were on the rain side. You in Maine were on the wind side.

My dentist, as he drilled and drilled Monday morning, said he thought they had gotten 7 inches of rain at their house. Just got cable / internet back, but I do have a back-up hot spot which came in handy all day yesterday.

Hope you have some dry wood handy; supposed to get cold this week.

WV… was that a rhetorical question?

There is this thing called “ESPN” where you can look up a game or a team or a player and see their stats.

Kind of blew my mind too, but it is out there.

Hey, Mac. Glad to hear you have found an area that your whole family agrees with.

Starting to think of a move ourselves, but we’re going to wait and see where our two settle / gravitate to. We’ll either go close or at least somewhat equidistant to them.

I’ve lived in Connecticut my entire 53 years on this sphere, but may be out of here soon.

I’ve been to two Giants games this year; the Chargers game and the Seahawks game.

In the Chargers game, both teams were 0-5. The Giants D started the scoring with a Safety that could have been a TD if Rivers didn’t think quick and swat an early snap out of the back of the end zone. The Giants D played tough for most of the game, but had crucial penalties that kept drives alive.

The Giants O showed some life and it was either team’s game until Eli was sacked and fumbled. Chargers recovered and eventually scored. During the last gasp drive for the Giants, OBJ was lost for the season.

For the Seahawks game, I thought the Giants would be fired up coming off their first win in Denver. The D played very good, and got a fumble recovery that the O was able to convert into 7 points. Unfortunately, that was it for the scoring for the Giants. The D just got worn down, plain and simple. Manning again had a sack fumble turnover.

The Giants D is good. The Giants O has a good rookie TE, an OK tandem of RB’s, a fairly crappy OL and an aging inaccurate stationary QB. Add unimaginative play calling and you have the Rams circa 2016…

I know the Rams are stuck with the gold on the jerseys, but are they mandated to where white horns on their helmets (unless wearing throwbacks or color rushes)?

If the answer is no, they should be going with gold horns when they have to wear blue tops.

Interesting and thought provoking. My main thought being “this has to change, but our elected officials don’t have the stones to change it.” Which leads to sadness…

PA, I disagree that you may have loved the movie more if you had reread the book before seeing it.

I finished reading “The Dead Zone” like a week before I went and saw the movie. I hated it! So much was missing. This character didn’t behave like he did in the book, his wife was supposed to have huge boobs, etc, etc.

Then, about 5 years ago, I watched the movie again. By that point, I didn’t remember shit about the book. I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit (Big Chris Walken fan).

    Just my take.

Unbelievably, every game is going my way, except for this Giants game.

Not sure if my satanic lord has abandoned me, or is just testing me. We’ll see how the second half goes…
