Fisher: I wouldn’t read into extension that he will definitely return for next season. Next five games very importantMichael Kaiser @bigdog1246
@DailyNewsVinny Doesn’t an extension mean he is coming back? Why sign him now?Vincent Bonsignore @DailyNewsVinny
No. It means he’s got guaranteed money coming to him. But no guarantee he’ll be the coach in 2017

nittany ramModeratorWow, partisan buzzkillary…. sweet.
We used to have William F. Buckley, Jr debating Noam Chomsky.
Our discourse has diminished to “Hildabeast v. Drumpf”
I fucking hate people, sometimes…
Partisan? Both Bern and Hildabeast are the planet saving all emoting free shit emails ain’t no thang democrats!
Sanders and Clinton are farther apart in their core beliefs than Clinton and Trump are.

nittany ramModeratorI’m going to the game with my wife.
I’m planning on three and a half hours of misery.
And it could get even worse if the Rams lose.
Ba-doom boom.
Seriously, my wife could have picked a better game for her first NFL experience.
Hopefully the Rams will make the Pats work for their win.

nittany ramModeratorI just don’t want to live in the Holy Christian Fascist Caliphate that substitutes for what was the USA.
Yeah, that’s my worry too. A fascist theocracy.
Where they divert funds from the NSF to the Ark Encounter theme park.
nittany ramModeratorIDK…to me Oakland is Raider land..
Oh believe me, wv knows that, sanbagger.
As a long time 49’ers fan, wv is well aware of Oakland’s love of the Raiders.
And with his beloved team 1-10 and now 45 miles away in Santa Clara and the Raiders a Super Bowl contender, he senses the Frisco area switching their allegiance to the Silver and Black (note that I said ‘Frisco’. wv, like most San Franciscans, hates that. I get my digs in where I can).
That’s why he wants the Raiders to move. He knows putting an expansion team in Oakland will take a long time to approve. It will take longer still to field a winner. In the meantime local support will undoubtedly swing back to the 9’ers. Unlike the Raiders, an expansion team won’t be a threat to the 9’ers’ sovereignty in the bay area.
So, believe me, he cares little about fair play or justice for other cities that lost their team. He cares only about one thing, the 9’ers maintaining their hold over the greater San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose/Santa Clara metroplex.
nittany ramModeratorI generally agree, but I am disappointed in Tavon’ lack of production on punt returns this year. I was hoping for a better year on special teams.
w
vIt’s true that he doesn’t have the production, but on the other hand, whenever he takes the field as a PR, he’s a threat. So in the meanwhile, that’s fine with me.
And that might not be strictly on Tavon. Maybe the blocking on the returns isn’t as good as it used to be or maybe opposing punters are doing a better job of kicking away from him, etc.
What bugs me about Tavon is all the fair catches around the 5 yard line.
nittany ramModeratorMy fear is the Rams will become the Clippers to the Chargers’ Lakers.
That’s fine with me… The Lakers have been a mess and haven’t won more than 27 games per season since Dr. Buss passed away… The Clippers have been a consistent playoff team the past 5 seasons…..
But watch out……, the Lakers are currently better than Kronke’s Nuggets….

Well, I’m referring to the historical/overall respective relationships of LA with the Lakers and Clippers. I don’t want the Rams to end up being second chair in LA, regardless of their record. Of course, the only way to guarantee that won’t happen is if the Chargers stay in SD or move elsewhere which is completely out if the Rams’ control.
nittany ramModeratorMy fear is the Rams will become the Clippers to the Chargers’ Lakers.

nittany ramModeratorNice job, Nittany.
Did you find that article all by yourself?
Or did you just get it from the original post in this thread?
Yes, well, um the article is so important I thought it warranted repeating so I reposted it for emphasis.
That sort of thing is done all the time on the finer message boards in the Hamptons and on the Cape.
Pardon me for trying to class this place up a bit.

nittany ramModeratorHe’s not building the wall let alone have Mexico pay for it, he’s not repealing Obamacare, he’s not going to convict Hillary…aren’t those three promises the reason why about 75% of his supporters voted for him?

nittany ramModeratorGiven what Mike Silver posted it sounds like Dickerson over-reacted. It’s a shame he feels disrespected by Fisher/Rams but given Silver’s comments and how fast Demoff reacted it seems this is all in Dickerson’s mind. Yes, I realize I’m leaning heavily on Fisher’s version of the story as told to Silver but frankly, it makes a lot more sense than Dickerson’s version. I think that once Jeff said he would prefer that he not be on the sidelines Dickerson simply stopped listening.
nittany ramModeratorVincent Bonsignore @DailyNewsVinny
FYI on Jeff Fisher #Rams future. Absent of absolute answers there’s been an inference he’ll be back in ’17. Here is sense I’m getting: 1/2
no decision has been made on Fisher and #Rams will take a look at the entire picture at the end of the season and proceed accordingly.

Have you tried zooey’s cussing program?
I think he’s coming out with a video.
w
vA lot of good that will do. That clueless old coot is releasing it in Betamax.
The only exercise I get is when I walk the dogs or go birding…neither of which would qualify as aerobic exercise. I just can’t stand doing those repetitive movements on an elliptical or other exercise machines. I like getting out in the woods and hiking but I’m not motivated enough to do it regularly enough to make a difference.
Betamax is primed for a big comeback. And guess who will be laughing then.
The only exercised I like is playing something. Raquetball is fantastic, but I don’t have a club membership, and nobody to play with. But I can’t stand Exercising. My brain has to be doing something, or I get bored. Hiking is good, but…yeah. Ya gotta carve out a day for that. I went hiking in Yosemite over the weekend, and it was a joy…but I could only wish I was in better shape.
Start with walking. I get my best thinking and planning accomplished while walking. Dedicate a set time then over time see if you can pick up the pace to increase the distance walked in the time allotted. Get good walking shoes too.
That’s good advice, thanks. I used to walk briskly when walking the dog, but the female is over 12 years old now and has a degenerative spinal condition so I don’t want to push her. She gets tired when we just do our typical 20 minute stroll around the neighborhood.
We also have a 10 month old pup. Of course he could handle it if we picked up the pace but that would only work if I walked him without the female. I could do that but the dogs are like children. If one can’t do what the other one is doing at that moment there is all kinds of drama.
See there what I’m doing? Already erecting roadblocks. Being lazy is a lot of work. 🙂
nittany ramModeratorI wish I could get motivated to exercise. I’m heavier now than at any point in my life. But I just hate it so much.

nittany ramModeratorI exercise regularly. Didn’t always. But, I had to lose weight. I’ve lost more than a quarter of my body weight (60 pounds). I did it because of my cholesterol. And, I just kept at it. I’ve done lots of different stuff, but mostly I’m doing yoga and resistance training … a lot of pushups, mostly. Strength training is great. I don’t do a lot of squats, tough, because my knees are creaky, too. I’m 46 years old, btw. But, I’m in way better shape than I’ve been since my 20s.
I had to build my way up, but I do lots of pushups. I can do 54 at one time. But, mostly I do different kinds of pushups, and several series of them. This morning, I figure that I did between 300 and 400 pushups plus other exercises with a resistance band. Then, I put on some ankle weights, laid down and did some leg exercises. That was over an hour’s worth of work.
But, I can only do that type of workout about twice a week. I do a lot of yoga because it’s great for flexibility and adds strength. Check out this one lady, Yoga with Adrienne, on Youtube. I follow her yoga workouts, and some of them can be really challenging. A 21-minute core workout will tear you up. Or, you can go with a lighter workout that helps mostly with flexibility. Or, anywhere in between.
The great thing about these workouts is that I don’t have to go anywhere to do them, so there’s no excuse not to do them.
Wow, great job!
I wish I could get motivated to exercise. I’m heavier now than at any point in my life. But I just hate it so much.
So much.
nittany ramModeratorSeems like a minor but embarrassing snit, to me.
I dont think Kronky cares about ED’s feelings.
My ‘guess’ is no-one will be talking about ED a week from now.
w
vOn the other hand since they moved back to LA the Rams have made a point to reconnect to former Rams players and the team’s history – both of which they were accused of abandoning when they moved to St Louis.
Given Demoff’s reaction the alienatation of fan favorite Eric Dickerson who has a popular podcast/radio show isn’t something the Rams are going to allow regardless of how Fisher may feel.
This sort of stuff means nothing when you’re winning but when you’re losing it can become a big deal – the final straw sort of big deal.
nittany ramModeratorSo either Dickerson or Fisher is a liar.
nittany ramModeratorThat’s been one of my favorites for 30 years.

nittany ramModeratorFisher: New York style pizza is SO much better than Chicago deep dish.
Williams: Don’t f’n piss me off! Don’t, ok?!
Fisher: See, the thin crust of the New York style doesn’t overwhelm the flavors of the toppings and sauce.
Williams: Last warning – don’t push it!
nittany ramModeratorWarner certainly did. Other possibilities are Greene (who replaced Warner when he was injured for a while in 2000) and Bulger.
I don’t think there’s anyone else who could be in the running.
nittany ramModeratorGood game for Goff.
I’ve blanked out everything else from my memory to save what’s left of my sanity.
nittany ramModeratorWow. I thought he might be moved inside to guard or even benched, but didn’t expect him to be inactive.
nittany ramModeratorThat does sound like a lot of speculation. However, the move for Bradford and what they gave up for him then the sudden walkaway by Turner starts to add a little credence to the story.
If I’m a well respected OC and been doing this for a long time and then the HC goes and brings in another OC and says publicly he doesn’t know what title he has but he’ll figure it out…sends a shot over my bow I would think.
Yeah, I agree. Regardless I hope the Rams hire Turner this offseason.
nittany ramModeratorGood interview. The interviewer seemed a little surprised by some of his answers. Although it is clear Chomsky isn’t a Trump fan, it seemed like he wasn’t as much of a Trump alarmist as the interviewer wanted him to be.
I liked Chomsky’s response to the interviewer’s mentioning of Russia’s interference in the election. He basically shrugged and said the US has been interfering in the elections of other countries for years and that they even brag about it…
nittany ramModeratorYeah, despite what happened in Minn I’d love to have Norv as the Rams’ OC. He has coordinated many good offenses including that Rams offense of the mid to late 80s with Everett, Ellard, Flipper, etc,
Actually Ernie Zampese was the OC. Turner was the WR coach and offensive assistant.
