ParticipantPer Jim Thomas: Rams have reached out to Detroit DT Nick Fairly. No visit scheduled as of yet.
DT? That’s the wrong side of the ball, ain’t it? S’post ta be OL, OL and then OL.
NERam
ParticipantHe’s fun to watch. If Bradford stays healthy, the WR’s continue to improve, and Mason grows, could be a decent “O” on the field.

ParticipantBernie: Bradford should cut Rams a break
By Bernie Miklasz
To quote the famous poet 50 Cent, the Rams’ bosses LOVE Sam Bradford the way a fat kid love cake.Good, visceral writing, right there.

ParticipantI am waiting for the day
fans in the stands can challenge
a coach’s playcall.Ya know. And if more than, say
three-fourths of the fans push a button
challenging the playcall, the coach
would automatically be jettisoned from
the stadium. Literally. Maybe some sort
of catapult could be used.I think the fans would like that.
w
vLOL. I can just see it now- current stadiums retro fitted to resemble Coliseums. Hand held devices for the fans could be equipped with sensors that determined if the thumb was pointing up or down …

ParticipantWeinke says that taught him each quarterback must be treated differently, and he’s not interested in completely overhauling anyone’s mechanics.
The goal is to deliver the club head into the ball, and different human beings find different ways to do that. Ask the Natural Golf guys who keep Moe Norman’s legacy alive.
Good post, RFL. I enjoyed reading that.
I can personally attest to the success of using the Moe Norman swing. Many years ago, out of sheer frustration at my inability to play consistent golf, I sent away for a video and training guide for the “Jerry Heard Super Swing”.
Prior to using this, I could easily go from a start of par, par, bird, to 3 or 4 triple bogeys in a row. Or, worse yet, totally whiff on a tee shot, and then send another straight down the center. Up and down, up and down.
The premise of the super swing made sense. The weight transfer and wrist rotation, common tripfalls for the average weekend golfer, were taken out of the equation, resulting in a return of the club face to the exact same position as it was at address. I went as far as checking the ball strike with impact tape on the club head, and sure enough, multiple, repeatable hits in the sweet spot.
I agree that trying to force someone into a preferred swing, or QB throw, is probably not going to get good results. Hopefully, Bradford will be allowed to continue with what he does well, the FO addresses the OL line issue(s) to protect those 2 toothpicks that Bradford runs around on, and we get to see what he can do with a receiving corps that seems like its starting to gel.

ParticipantOk, I think it’s time for everyone to stop fuckin’ with the helmets. The Rams have already strayed too far off the one true path as it is. Let’s not venture any further into oblivion.
Well put. 😉

NERam
ParticipantNeed more birthdays.
Cause. Cake.
11/28 for me.
Because it is so close to the end of the month, there are years when my birthday falls on Thanksgiving. And so, not only do I get cake, I get pie as well. I know, I know, its the stuff that some of you guys can only dream of,but for me, its reality…
Since I was born, there is a definite pattern in the yearly interval that this occurs; 11, 6, 5, 6.
I have tried to understand this algebraically, geometrically, and a possible correlation based upon Ram winning seasons. However, my zeal to understand became “deflated”, and so now I just sit back with a slice of each.

ParticipantYou have Marshawn Lynch, 20 seconds, on New England’s 1 yard line, and you pass? What was Seattle thinking? Seattle lost this game on a stupid call. Me being a Rams fan, I have seen a bunch of bad play calls over years.
Not sure there is a logical explanation.
NERam
ParticipantGood call.
Terrible finish to the game.
I can’t believe–with one timeout they didn’t run Lynch.
Why?
Made no sense.
Anyway–Pats get another trophy. They still suck.
3 freaking chances to get a yard with Lynch, in addition to running out clock and killing any Tom Terrific comeback chance… Jeeze.
Yer right. They still suck. Big asterisk next to their rings.

Participant23 -21, Hawks.
Don’t like either team, I like Pats less.

ParticipantI think Belicheck should atone for the ‘cheatriot’ ways – torture, embarrassment, incarceration, forfeiture of all personal assets, shame, agony, and misery. Or, maybe they could make him listen to somebody recite Emily Dickinson poetry for a couple hours.
Your being too easy on him. I think he should be hypnotized, and then convinced that he is a long term Rams fan.
Then, watch the joie de vivre get sucked right out of him. If he had any to begin with…

ParticipantHappy Birthday, RM.
I bought you a little token gift, but the stupid thing accidentally got locked in a spare time capsule I had laying around. Shouldn’t be too too long before you get it; the capsule is set to open the very second the Rams next qualify for a playoff game…
Pssst, one more thing. Not trying to be critical or nothin, but those footballs on the side of the cake that ZN baked you look a little DE-FLAY-TED, don’t they?
You should register a complaint.
And that first cake…clearly a holiday cake. And when’s the last time the Rams played a game that meant anything in December? It’s almost as if zn is taunting RM.
Definitely unsportsmanlike.
He should be boiled in his own pudding…

ParticipantHave those two teams played recently?
2012. Same year as the Rams played the AFC East.
Game was in Seattle. Seahawks won 24-23 on a last minute TD (Wilson to Rice). They came back from being down 23-10 with 8 minutes remaining.
Now remember, this superbowl is more interesting for you than it is for Rams fans.
The superbowl is different if it’s your 2 favorite teams.
That was the game where Richard Sherman got in Bradys face after the game ended. Kind of launched his “bad boy” image, didn’t it?

ParticipantSeahawks vs Patriots.
Geeze, is there no end to this torment???
I feel your pain. Good news is Packers will beat the Patriots too.
Well now. Ya see, NOW yer talkin’.
THAT is something I could latch on to.
I’ve got a little trouble seeing a compromised Rodgers beating Seattle at home. This is a much tighter team than the one the Rams beat earlier this year.
But yeah, if GB wins, then “Go Pack. Drive a dagger into the heart of the evil ones”.
One more time.

ParticipantTough way to lose. Looked like he took 2 steps before hitting the ground. I thought that was enough of a “football move”… Peirera says no. So, that’s all she wrote.
NERam
ParticipantWhy ask the question when you know the answer?
Oh, I don’t know… Perhaps the dearth of Ram playoff appearances for the LAST 10 YEARS, coupled with parallel Patriot successes, makes me relish the opportunity to disparage them and sully their name and followers whenever possible. -I get a warm feeling through reaffirmation. 😉

I had a dream once.
It was after i watched an entire season
of The Walking Dead on dvd, in one evening.
I went to bed, and dreamed that I was in Boston
for some reason…and everyone was a Zombie…
and they were all wearing PATS uniforms.Scary stuff.
I had to skewer them in their tiny brains,

Kinda changes things slightly when you lose your starting QB, I guess.
They did look rather anemic yesterday, eh?
