HramParticipant
Be oh line was not a strength going into this year and then they lost some guys. If no one had gotten injured, they would probably be OK right now.
They should be able to fix it next year as they seem to have some good young talent, but I am not holding my breath for this year.
HramParticipantTrue, provided everything else remains the same.
And a missed field goal earlier means you had to go for a touchdown on the 2nd to last drive.
And…
Bottom line is anything even slightly better than mediocre line play and we win by two scores, IMO.
HramParticipantThere is no way to explain the ball traveling forward 10 yards except that golf threw it forward with at a minimum a flick of the wrist.
Having said that the reason we lost this game is the oline play.
HramParticipantPitt defense is really good.
Rams Oline is not.
Goff made some inaccurate throws particularly early.
Rams D is pretty decent.
Doubt we make the playoffs.
Need to fix the Oline this offseason.

Bye came at a good time. Defense gets better and Oline is good enough and improving.
HramParticipantGood to know and that gives me hope
HramParticipantI’m going with Dan Fouts
October 21, 2019 at 5:05 pm in reply to: (must read?) Ramsey removed handcuffs from Rams’ defense #107105HramParticipantAnd Atlanta has a good OL. Their LOT for example is Jake Matthews, the guy everyone says the Rams should have taken instead of Robinson. That offense was 2nd in the league in passing before Sunday.
….
=====================
Well, they sure didnt look like a good OL. They looked awful.
w
vI have this fantasy that they looked awe full because the rams coverage and pass rush completely turned the corner in one week and are suddenly the next best thing to the 85 bears.
It could happen…
Actually, if Fowler continues to improve, they might end up being pretty good. 🙂

October 18, 2019 at 6:44 pm in reply to: Zone versus Man coverage: Shouldn't the Rams have known about Peters? #106895HramParticipantBilly, I agree with your thoughts except the Adelman piece. From what I am read he is better with the outside wide receivers and not as good with those who operate more in the slot. Rest of your points ring true to me

October 15, 2019 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Rams traded Marcus Peters to Ravens for LB Kenny Young #106726HramParticipantOne thing is sure, this team doesn’t stand pat when they feel like they need to make an improvement.
October 15, 2019 at 2:51 pm in reply to: Talib on IR, Noteboom out for year, & other injury updates #106713HramParticipantToo many injuries
HramParticipantBLUF: No
HramParticipantYou are what your record is. They have played like a three and two team so far this season. Hopefully that gets them to 10 and six by the end of the year
HramParticipantI agree with ZN.
Tampa came to play.
Their front 7 also played well.
Goff did miss a couple TDs, but the bottom line is they just outplayed us.
HramParticipantBottom line is they outplayed us.
Credit to them. Need to work on that defense!
HramParticipantI agree with everything wv just posted

HramParticipantDifferent eras and different positions. It is almost impossible to compare between greats, who was the greatest
HramParticipantIt seemed both teams were sitting on the dump off routes to Gurley in the screen game.
HramParticipantAny win against a team when they travel three times zones to the east is something to be appreciated
HramParticipantI think it’s even money they slide Blythe to center and insert denby at guard.
HramParticipantGiven how salaries increase, slotting in at number 10 with the last contract may be about right. It will look cheaper in two years and is one less position they have to find.
I must have shown some additional growth from last year until now.
HramParticipant🙂
HramParticipantWhile I agree he has potential, He still has a ways to go to reach that exalted level.
HramParticipantI think it’s like $138m with $110 guaranteed. If I read the text alert correctly.
HramParticipantI wonder if we acquired him mainly to be able to stash him on the practice squad in 1-4 weeks and build his strength up for next year.
HramParticipantThere are players on our practice squad and who were picked up by other teams off waivers that would’ve been on our 53 a couple years ago. The Rams talent acquisition in the last several years has been superb .
HramParticipantI thought he was going to make the roster, so good that he made the Practice Squad. In fact, I would have been happy if the Rams had kept the 5 players that got picked up on waivers. I Still don’t know why they kept Natson.
I agree with everything you just said.
HramParticipantLooks to me they are holding back on the ones they would prefer to make it through to the practice squad.
