Sounds to me like much supposition but not much concrete in RK’s position. I’d say that anybody can come up with “I think” and “I believe” reasons the Rams will be back in LA but I’ll believe it when I see it. So, Go Rams!Where do you want them to play?

vNot trying to stir the shit but I would prefer the old LA Coliseum – I doubt that will happen. That was where I watched them as a kid. However, St Louis isn’t horrific for me – it’s actually driveable for me to see a game. I have no personal attachment to St Louis. But, I’m a Ram fan since I was a kid in LA so fate has forced that I endure wherever they may go.
sdRam, where is building in St Louis? Come on, tell me where?
Lets look at a couple things here sdRam.
1. Least valued franchise in the league (Rams)
2. Makes the least money of any team in the league (Rams)
3. Purchased 60 acres of prime real estate at the Hollywood Park site, a site the league has coveted for years (Rams)There are no land purchases in St Louis, St Louis still owes millions on the Edward Jones dome and the city and the CVC have already said they cannot do it.
Kroenke has the financial backing on his own to do this if he wants to go solo. I doubt very much he’ll have to.
Pretty sure he’ll get the corporate backing he needs. There is nothing in St Louis that would be advantageous to Kroenke staying there.

STLrobertmartinKarraker revises: It was my opinion. On Rams moving. Bernie is saying don’t be too pessimistic on the show right now.
His opinion bullshit. He came on and said a source he trusts told him its a done deal. He says that twice infact. Once in the 3:00 hour of Tuesday’s show and once in the 4:00 hour. That is not an opinion, that is Karraker saying a source he trusts. BIG DIFFERENCE THERE.

September 30, 2014 at 5:37 pm in reply to: AEG seeks extension, sites progress in negotiations with the NFL #8740GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI just don’t see a development firm like AEG building a stadium and leasing it to a NFL team. I think this window closes and we see the city take over negotiations. If a team moves and a stadium gets built in LA, it will be done the old fashioned way – with shitloads of public money and promises of economic benefits to the taxpayers.
Snowman, no public funding by any municipality in SoCal or the state of CA. This will be privately funded. The land is no issue as Kroenke owns the land. There are a number of different ways he can get this funded corporately. Naming rights is one avenue. Farmers Insurance paid 700 million for the naming right to Farmer’s field. Well, 700 million is about half the price tag for paying for the new stadium to be constructed.

Maybe Tom Brady should retire than take a beating like he’s taking on this inferior Patriot offensive line that plays in front of him. Chiefs are a decent team but last time I checked it was 41-7 Chiefs. Huh?

September 29, 2014 at 11:00 am in reply to: The official "so what game(s) are you watching" thread #8673GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantCowboys are looking good. I didn’t think they were very good coming into the Rams game but they really mauled the Saints last night. That’s a real good offense Dallas has and Linehan is doing a good job of play calling. Murray is a beast at running back. Might be the best RB in the game this side of Adrian Petersen.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantIf AD plays QB this coming Sunday I could see the Rams putting up a lot of points on a very questionable Eagles defense. I mean isn’t that one kid playing starting cornerback for them one of the Rams castoffs from the Spags era?
Eagles have lapses on defense. Not sure why but they do. Might be a by product of the Eagles offense??
Anyways the point being this could be a high scoring affair as neither team is anything to write home about on defense but both can move the ball and score.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantYes, I think Davis is legit. Why didn’t people question Andrew Luck when he came into the league right away and was doing what veterans do at QB and winning games? Why is Davis being questioned like this. He has consistently shown he knows what hes is doing which is a statement I NEVER HEARD ABOUT BRADFORD IN 2010, 2011 or 2012.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantOh come on ZN, The kid was coming cold and got sacked a couple times in the Vikes game. He also put up some pretty decent numbers for one half. What part of culpability do you give to the offensive line for allowing the sack?
I would say what AD did in Tampa and his performance in the Dallas game out weigh anything he did in a spur of the moment appearance in the Vikings game.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantMy issue is more with Greg Williams and his defense right now. I bet its an issue with Fisher too.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantJohn Clayton is full of poop. They are going to figure Davis out? Really John? Just like they have figured out Tom Brady or Kurt Warner, or Russell Wilson or Peyton Manning or Eli Manning? John, whatever your smoking put it down! Put down the pipe John clayton!.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantOh yah, I don’t know what is happening behind the scenes. And your right shane I don’t except I know that Kroenke doesn’t talk to people in St Louis. Especially anyone from the Governor’s office or the Mayor’s office or the CVC.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantQB always gets too much of the credit and way too much blame. Always been that way.
No matter what anyone thinks you gotta love what Austin Davis has done on the field thus far. I’m sure he’ll have some rough days. The key will be can he bounce back from those rough days and have good ones.

September 23, 2014 at 7:59 am in reply to: Burwell: Reaching Critical Stadium Negotiating Mass Between Stan & STL? #8293GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantMyopic and delusional Burwell. Secret meetings!!! Isn’t this what Bernie was screaming for the longest time until he finally came out just over a week ago and said to paraphrase ….I believe Stan is intent on moving the team to LA.
Now Myopic Brian has picked up the flag.
St Louis is still paying about 12 million a year on the Edward Jones Dome loan. Nobody in St Louis is going to be willing to fund a tax to pay for a 1.6 billion dollar stadium. Also, there has been no parcel of land designated or purchased that would suit a NFL stadium in St Louis. Nobody from the private sector has stepped up willing to even partially fund a stadium.
Burwell is ridiculous in buying into a tweet from Mayor Slay. Where has Mayor Slay and the city been the last two years along with the CVC except to say “We Can’t Pay!” Any public monies to be spent on a stadium or stadium improvements would have to be voted on.
Lets not forget the Rams are dead last in Franchise value among NFL teams and dead last in income earned among NFL teams.
Think Stan wants to live with that Brian?Grits
September 23, 2014 at 7:46 am in reply to: Burwell: Reaching Critical Stadium Negotiating Mass Between Stan & STL? #8288GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantWhile your at it, take a look a all the empty red seats in the upper section of the stadium. This is typical for a Rams home game the last several years.

September 23, 2014 at 7:45 am in reply to: Burwell: Reaching Critical Stadium Negotiating Mass Between Stan & STL? #8287GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantTypical anymore of Rams home games in St Louis where visiting fans dominate the dome. The Support for the Rams in St Louis is non-existent. Is it any wonder they will be moving to LA.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantNiners defense is not what it was either. Kaepernick is not playing very well.
I think the Eagles will probably win that game only because SF cannot keep up with them offensively.Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantEagles defense is nothing to write home about. Infact they are very average. Eagles have the look of a regular season king kong but the way their defense plays I have serious doubts about them making it to the promised land.

September 22, 2014 at 10:38 am in reply to: This is what happens to teams that are poorly coached. #8216GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantSo can we drop the fire Fisher bullshit posts? Listen up Rams fans, your team was a bloody mess when Fisher and Snead came on board in 2012. They are doing the best they can to turn it around. There is nobody and I mean nobody who could come in and make this team an instant winner. They Rams have been going through a rebuild the last 3 years. There is no instant coffee in regards to becoming a legitimate contender in the NFL.
Anyone who has been around since Fisher took over knows there are aspects of this team’s game that have improved greatly and other parts that are starting to come around.
I say stay the course with Fisher. I don’t always agree with him but I’ve seen the improvement in this team.
Yes, I know the defense for reason unbeknownst to me is struggling mightly right now. But remember this is their 3rd DC in 3 years only because Greg Williams suspension in 2012. Now GW is here. lets give him some time.
