GreatRamNTheSkyParticipant
ZN if he has issues with some kind of inflammation then Davis should be the starter. But lets face it, Your shut out at home at the half 13-0, you didn’t distinguish yourself on offense in the least bit.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantReally did the team in.
The sack of Davis in the 3rd quarter really hurt as well.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHe was jerked.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI’m sorry the look on Hill’s face did not look like a guy who had an injury. He looked like a guy who had just been demoted.
I don’t buy the injury story. This is Davis’s team now.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantThat was a really ugly loss and inexcusable after Snead and Fisher have had three years to put their team on the field.
I would suggest that Fisher may be on the hot seat after a few more of those.Grits

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipant1. a Win
2. Tavon Austin with some big plays
3. Shaun Hill with an efficient game and a good day passing the ball.
4. Productive running game.
5. Good run defense
6. Great Pass rush from Quinn and Company.
7. Defense get some turn overs.
8. Brian Quick have some big plays.
9. Kenny Britt have a productive day with some big plays.
10. etc., etc., etc.Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI’m sorry, the Ram Rock posting has it all wrong.
That was not a matter of injuries changing anything. Green Bay is simply not as good as Seattle. And Certainly not in Seattle. I’m sorry but that assessment of what happened in that game was just way off base.
The Packers are not a Super Bowl team and the only reason the talking heads annoint them contenders is Aaron Rogers which is a fallacy because Rogers as good as he is cannot carry that team by himself to the Super Bowl. Marino could not do it for Miami and Dan Fouts could not do it for the Corell Chargers. And the Packers are a team with good offense and no defense just like those teams. The Hawks maybe the most well rounded team in the game today.

GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantJoe Peschi above looks like Peter Faulk in Columbo, minus the trench coat.
Jack Miller, I hope you’re right.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantLets hope Saffold lasts the whole game. He is starting to remind me of Rich Saul who they use to refer to as hospital because they would assist him off the field and two plays later he’d be back in there at center.

September 3, 2014 at 9:24 am in reply to: What Case Keenum brings to the Rams/Wagoner & others #5940GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantWagoner is right. Davis is the most experienced QB the Rams have in terms of being in Schottenheimer’s system. This season is not shaping up real good with the wonderful news that the 2nd overall pick in the draft isn’t good enough to be first team.

September 3, 2014 at 9:23 am in reply to: What Case Keenum brings to the Rams/Wagoner & others #5938GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantKeenum was brought in to eventually compete for the starter’s job. I doubt seriously we go the whole season with Shaun Hill as the starter. I hope Hill does well ans we win with him. I have my doubts.

Horrible!

September 3, 2014 at 8:53 am in reply to: Considering what might be termed as questionable draft picks is Fisher in troubl #5931GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantSnead and Fisher are looking rather suspect in some of their top Picks.
1. Tavon Austin, not being utilized as we thing he should be.
2. Robinson the top pick, number 2 overall and he can’t start? Really? When I think that Sammy Watkins was sitting right there and Fisher takes a project? Really? Plus they didn’t take a QB either? Really?
There were other offensive linemen they could have taken. Plus did they really need Aaron Donald instead of taking an O-lineman there? Not looking good for either Snead or Fisher. Starting to look like Billy Devaney is back in town.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantKeenum is 6’1″ tall and already people are complaining.
6’1″? So, how tall is Russell Wilson and that dude just won a Lombardi.
How tall is Drew Brees? He has a Lombardi as well.
Lets give the kid a chance to play before we start picking him apart. And I could care less what the QB history of the school is either. USC has had many QBs over 6’1″ who played well in College that never truly made it in the pros.
BTW USC fan, how tall was Pat Haden?
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantMy judgment will remain in reserve. I’ll give him half the season to dazzle and I do mean dazzle me based upon what we all were told he is.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantWow, Keenum looked really good in that video. Only 26 too. He and Bradford are about the same age. So there is your competition in training camp next Summer. But Garret Gilbert is on the Practice Squad. Looks to me like the Rams have some good depth now at QB with Keenum, Davis and Gilbert. I think it is better to have Hill as the back up who can come in and play in a pinch if the starter gets hurt.
I think Bradford has to renegotiate and sign maybe a one year or two year deal. He has to prove he can stay on the field and play. Then he can go for the big bucks again. I think next season it will be Bradford and Keenum as the one and the two.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI would not write off Austin Davis.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantIts cool, on my part anyways. On Dog’s part? I don’t know but I enjoy it.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI don’t, he showed with the Raiders two seasons ago when he was starting that he can play good ball. He was a good QB at Ohio State in Big 10 competition as well.
This kid has talent and he can win. This is only his what, 4th season? He’s better talent wise then anything the Rams have on the roster at QB right now.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantZack, if he’s a stud then he should have been making plays from the nose as well. He should be quicker than the Center. Obviously the coaches feel he can play nose or he wouldn’t be there.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantIf we see just average play from Tavon that any slot back / receiver could have done for the entire season (not just this game) then in my opinion the Rams over paid for him and he’s a bust.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantHe’s a one trick pony and I have the feeling there are coaches who feel the exact same way as Tony Dungy. They don’t want the distraction.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantTerrell Pryor is the kid we should sign.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI know those guys read this board. 21Dog likes to “Dog” me about Fresno state being better than USC. So, a little dig here and there is all in fun.
Besides, the wussey admins at the Herd board don’t like me for my anti-Stlouis attitude over the years. That’s fine. When the Rams move back to LA next season and most of those posters have abandoned the Herd Board, then what?Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantMichael Sam made some good plays but he’s really a one-trick pony where as Westbrooks can be an every down defensive lineman. I could see Westbrooks eventually pushing Chris Long for his job. Long’s been a steady good player for the Rams but Westbooks looks to like he has more talent and ability.
Grits
GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantAugust 28, 2014 at 8:32 pm in reply to: I think Sam Bradford will renegotiate his deal with Rams #5421GreatRamNTheSkyParticipantI don’t think Bradford has any choice. He knows he’s been injured half the time he’s been here. He knows he has not really shown anything.
If the Rams offer a renegotiated down deal he should be realistic and take it.Grits
