I asked about McVay on Twitter. To Vincent Bonsignore. Is the McVay we see real or is this one of those coaches we hear about down the road who in real life has issues but in front of the cameras is polished? I didn’t expect an answer actually. But he said he was legit and what we see is the same person they see behind the scenes.

Is McVay real? I mean you hear stories about crazy coaches after they leave. Is McVay as polished and cool behind the scenes with you guys as he is with the cameras on him?

I’ve been doing this a long time. He’s legit.

In life you’re either the guy who steps into someone else’s shoes or the guy whose shoes someone else steps into. I’m betting the latter is the case for McVay.

I don’t say that frivolously. My personal experience includes Pat Riley. Phil Jackson. Pete Carroll. Tommy Lasorda. Seen it up close an personal, is what I’m saying. And yes, I’m calling McVay as one of those guys.

The Rams have 5 games left. They have scored 33 touchdowns, which is already more than they finished with in 8 of the last 10 seasons. They’re on pace for 48, which would be their highest total since 2001.

Rams added OLB Carlos Thompson from their practice squad and waived rookie OLB Ejuan Price earlier today. Rookie Samson Ebukam will start Sunday in place of OLB Connor Barwin (forearm), but Thompson provides more experience, size behind him.
