Who stays?
Who goes?
Who comes in?
Who retires?
Who resigns?
Do we trade anyone for picks?
Who is our first pick in this draft?February 4, 2019 at 3:25 pm #97799AgamemnonParticipantFebruary 4, 2019 at 6:15 pm #97805TSRFParticipantI’d try to keep Suh and Peters too.
WTF with Gurley? Resign CJ…
I HOPE this was a learning experience for the coach and the QB. I HOPE we’re back to that game in the near future. I HOPE Son of Bum is in for the long term.
February 6, 2019 at 11:50 am #97876znModeratorRams roster is hard to guesstimate right now because it depends (among other things) on what they think of their “redshirt” players–guys they drafted in 2018 who saw little or no action but were kept on the regular roster to protect them.
There has been some buzz about some of these guys. For example, here is VB on Joseph-Day: they like him “Enough so that they are keeping him on the active roster on almost a redshirt basis rather than trying to slide him through waivers to get him on the practice squad. They know someone would gobble him up on waivers. I’ve been told they believe there is a future role for him. And if there was an injury they’d be comfortable playing him. But for now, they are OK with redshirting him on the 53 and making sure he sticks around.”
It makes a difference if 2 or more of the following players are seen as starting material, or in a couple of cases at least rotation material.

Franklin-Myers

Joseph-DayLooking at the most optimistic scenario (optimistic in terms of what those players can do), if that list came through, it would allow them to handle a Whitworth retirement and to replace Sullivan, Brockers, and Barron. That right there all told represents more than 40 M. It might also allow them to count on a regular starting NT who wouldn’t exactly replace Suh but might give them better every game consistency than Suh did (or ever will IMO).

February 6, 2019 at 3:12 pm #97878JackPMillerParticipantOne thing I did forget, Sean Mannion is an unrestricted free agent, do we resign him or do we let him walk? We could get an undrafted developmental QB in this draft as our backup. I don’t trust Mannion.
According to aeneas1 on another Rams board,
I think I read/heard that Mannion is all but gone, can’t say this impacts the Rams at all, I think they could easily replace him, through the draft or elsewhere…
February 6, 2019 at 3:37 pm #97879AgamemnonParticipantFebruary 6, 2019 at 4:18 pm #97881JackPMillerParticipantI wish Mannion would gotten his chance. It might be better for him to go some place else.
Maybe a backup to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay since LaFleur is now the new Head Coach with the Packers, or Cincinnati, since Zac Taylor is the new Head Coach there. Both know Mannion.

Yeah but, I think Mannion should be a starter. Who is the starter at Cinn?
