Rams are going to kill this pathetic team
    ———————————————
    Yep. Not going to watch
    ——————————————-
Yes, the Rams will feast on the Vikings. This team is pathetic.
    ———————————————————————————
I can’t argue with that. Can you imagine what Donald and Suh are going to do?
    ———————————————————————————————————
Trolls like I said go to GB packer board you folks are are the worst band wagons jumpers ever It was 1 game.
    ——————————————
Lol same folks who thought this would be a cakewalk game for the Vikings will think it is a slam dunk for the Rams. It wont be.
    ———————————————————
No doubt, Frosty has a better chance of surviving in hell than the Vikings have if competing with the Rams.
    —————————————————————————-
And here comes the Vikings apologists. Sugar coating a turd.
    ————————————————————————–
F*cking embarassing. I dunno what else to say
    ——————————————————————-
Zimmer sat Cook and Griffen even though they could have played if it was a playoff game.

He saved them for the Rams game which was a mistake. That sent a message to his team that the Bills didn’t matter. Buffoonery.

This team is going nowhere this season.
    ———————————————————————-
I agree Zim is such a freaking turd.
    ———————————————————–
The same Rams who got their ass kicked by us last year? Its 1 loss. Better to do it now rather than later.

    We’ll be fine.
    ——————————————————————-
Something tells me we will be ready/more prepared on Thursday. Zimmer has had some stinkers but his squads usually follow up with a good performance. Remember the 2015 season opener against the miners? Got our ads kicked on national tv, ended up going 11-5 and going toe to toe with Denver (SB champs that year) and Arizona (went 13-3), that year. I’ve go faith in this team but obviously the Rams will be tough.
    ————————————————————————————–
Our o line can’t block the Bill’s, simple analysis says Rams will kill us.

    ======

My Grandma could could sack Cousins.
    ________

OL is a massive dumpster fire.
    ________

Worst performance in franchise history, bar none. One first down, 30 yards of total offense vs 0-24 hole against a rookie QB playing on the worst team in NFL in his 3rd start.

    Embarrassing on so many levels
    ________

    Time of possession:

    Bills: 15:12

    Vikings: 6:29

I guess my question is… how in the world is it even THAT close?
    ________

    Alexa cancel Directv
    ________

    Thielen can’t beat a linebacker..
    ________

    No worries.
It was estimated that the Vikings had an 87% chance of winning this game.
Even with everything that’s gone wrong so far, we must still be favored to win.
    ________

Vikings thought they could just show up and roll the Bills with minimum effort. I’m surprised because they usuall save these kind of zero effort performances for big games.
    _________

And I thought our 2016 Oline was the worst in the modern era. Nope! Hey 2018….2016 thanks ya
    _________

The only good news here is we KNOW the Vikings are better than this. They came in unprepared and overlooked the Bills. It’s happened more than a few times. Reeks of the Colts game with the season on the line in 2016 and the NFC championship game last year.
    _________

Bills have a punter. Who knew?
    _________

On the bright side, we can still sit our starters for the second half to save them for the Rams game
    _________

I’m glad our whole team decided to take this week off to get extra rest in prep for the Rams this Thursday!
    _________

Darnald(sp) and Suh, are salivating over all the Sacks they will rack up on Thursday night.
    _________

Who again said this line was Ok? Pathetic
    _________

The Bears’ defense will split Cousins in half. Our OLine is laughable.
    _________

Every Viking opponent’s defensive line coach is going to show their guys this game tape and tell them that if the Buffalo G.D. Bills can own the Vikings’ offensive line, then their team sure as he!! can too.

    _________

At some point, probably before the end of the 3rd if the Vikes don’t score, you have to consider putting Cousins on the bench just to protect him from the abuse that this offensive line is exposing him to.

#Rams Aaron Donald: “Any time you lose playmakers and big-time players that are part of your defense that’s going to hurt you. But we’ve got guys that are going to step up and fill those shoes and be out there and productive.”

More from #Rams Donald, if he feels any added pressure to get to the QB to help the secondary: “We need to quarterback a lot more and get him down. We’ve been getting there, but (they’ve) been getting ball out. It’s frustrating but it’s gonna come. We just have to keep working.”

#Rams Sam Shields on potntially starting for 1st time since ’16/while dealing/w concussions most of last 2 years. “Something to show. A lot of people still want to know, is he alright? Things like that. For me it’s kind of to show people that I still got it. I can still do it.”

    Downtown Rams@DowntownRams
People need to show Troy Hill some respect. In what was the biggest game for the franchise arguably since the 2004 playoffs…Hill had a spectacular performance. 5 targets, 0 receptions allowed. Matt Ryan’s passer rating was 39.6 when targeting him. Give him a shot on Thursday.

I was reading some Viking FAN forum and many of them are disgusted with their Oline (for good reason) and one FAN in particular (vikefan2003) identified the Vikings Oline by name:

Rams vs. Vikings: 6 things to know for NFL Week 4

For the 46th time, the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings will square off on Thursday night. The short week makes preparation difficult for Sean McVay and Mike Zimmer.

This will be a pivotal game for the Vikings, and a good barometer for the 3-0 Rams. Here are three things to know for this Week 4 matchup.

    Vikings lead all-time series 27-16-2

The Rams have not had much success against the Vikings, losing 27 of 45 contests. Their most recent meeting, of course, came last season when the Vikings blew out a rising Los Angeles team 24-7 at U.S. Bank Stadium. In fact, Minnesota has won five straight against the Rams, but this will be the first matchup in Los Angeles since 1987.

Ndamukong Suh has 6.5 sacks in nine games vs. Minnesota

Playing the first five years of his career in Detroit, Suh is used to playing the Vikings. He’s faced them nine times since coming into the NFL in 2010 and has more sacks against them than all but one other team. In 10 career games against the Bears, he has eight sacks. Otherwise, the Vikings are the team he has the most sacks against, racking up 6.5 sacks and 28 tackles.

Rams backup RB has more yards than Vikings’ leading rusher

The Vikings were without Dalvin Cook on Sunday in their loss to the Bills, so he’s been limited to just 26 carries this season. Even so, he’s gained only 78 yards on the ground, which averages out to 3 yards per carry. For comparison, backup RB Malcolm Brown has 93 yards on just 18 attempts, which is 15 more yards than Cook has despite carrying it eight fewer times. Todd Gurley, on the other hand, has 255 yards on 62 carries.

Rams vs. Vikings: 4 key matchups to watch in Week 4

The Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings will meet on a short week Thursday night with each team heading in opposite directions. The Vikings haven’t won either of their last two games, going 0-1-1 in that span, while the Rams are almost unanimously viewed as the best team in the NFL at 3-0.

Thursday will be a pivotal matchup for both, though, as they look to establish themselves among the favorites to win the NFC. Here are four key matchups to watch.

Rams CBs vs. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs

Aqib Talib definitely won’t play against the Vikings and Marcus Peters’ status remains up in the air, which could leave the Rams down their top two corners. If that’s the case, Sam Shields, Nickell Robey-Coleman and Troy Hill will be the starters on Thursday night. Against a team that might have the best wide receiver duo in the NFL, that’s obviously not a good sign.

Having Peters would be a huge plus, but he’ll be a game day decision and fans shouldn’t hold their breath. If Shields, Hill and Robey-Coleman can’t contain Diggs and Thielen, it’s going to be a long day for the defense.

Kirk Cousins isn’t afraid to throw it 40 times a game and those two receivers are his favorite targets more often than not. The Rams’ backups have to step up this week in the event that Peters can’t play.

    Brandin Cooks vs. Xavier Rhodes

Rhodes typically follows No. 1 receivers around the field, but with so much talent in L.A.’s receiving corps, it remains to be seen if that’ll be the case this week. He could potentially match up with Robert Woods, but Cooks is the biggest threat for the Rams.

This is a marquee matchup between an elite cornerback and a wide receiver who can run every route in the tree. Rhodes will have his hands full with Cooks on the outside, but Harrison Smith could provide some help over the top, as well.

Cooks has been the Rams’ top receiver thus far, hauling in 19 passes for 336 yards with no touchdowns. If he can win this matchup on Thursday night, it’ll open up things for the rest of the receivers because the Vikings will have no choice but to give Rhodes some safety help.

    Ndamukong Suh vs. Pat Elflein

Elflein missed the first two weeks of the season as he recovered from ankle and shoulder surgeries, but he returned to action as a backup in Week 3. Mike Zimmer announced Tuesday that Elflein will get the start at center against the Rams, which is a big boost for the Vikings.

Minnesota’s offensive line has been shaky thus far, so any semblance of help it can get will go a long way. Elflein, the team’s third-round pick last year, has the potential to become one of the better centers in the league, but he’ll have to show that against a premier interior defender in Suh.

Suh will provide Elflein with a great test, as will Aaron Donald on stunts and other defensive alignments. Suh can rush from anywhere on the line, but he primarily plays nose tackle right over the center. That’s not a spot any offensive lineman wants to think about before a game, given Suh’s strength, speed and quickness. Cousins could find Elflein in his lap quite a few times Thursday.

    Rob Havenstein vs. Danielle Hunter

Hunter leads the Vikings with three sacks on the year, and with Everson Griffen out, he’s by far their best pass rusher. Primarily playing left end, Hunter will see plenty of Havenstein this week. That’s a matchup between one of the top defensive ends in the game and an underrated right tackle.

Havenstein has been very good this season after signing a multi-year extension, showing the Rams made the right move by signing him long-term. Hunter, though, is arguably the toughest test Havenstein will face this season. He’s a long pass rusher with good strength and a knack for getting after the quarterback.

Havenstein has to keep Hunter off of Jared Goff in the pocket in order to keep the offense humming the way it has been.

    https://www.dailynorseman.com/2018/9/26/17908520/brief-look-minnesota-vikings-los-angeles-rams-history

During the 1970s. . .which was well before my time, and probably well before a lot of your times, too. . .the rivalry between the Minnesota Vikings and the Los Angeles Rams was one of the best in football. The two teams were at the top of the NFL during that time, and met a bunch of times in the postseason. In fact, the Vikings have more postseason games against the Rams than any other opponent with seven. (They also have seven playoff games against the Dallas Cowboys, but less than that against every other opponent.) Things weren’t quite as intense once the Rams moved to St. Louis, but with both teams near the top of the NFC again, maybe things will get rekindled a bit.

As we do every week, we’re going to take a look back at the Vikings’ history against their upcoming opponent. As the Rams kept all their history when they moved, it will encompass the history against the Rams at both locations, and for now will just focus on regular season competition.

As always, the numbers in this story are brought to you by the good folks from Pro Football Reference.

Total regular season games between the Vikings and the Rams: 38

    All-time record: Vikings, 22-14-2

    Total Vikings’ points scored, head-to-head: 868 (22.8 points/game)

    Total Rams’ points scored, head-to-head: 820 (21.6 points/game)

Longest Vikings’ winning streak vs Rams: 5, twice, most recently from 11 October 2009 to 19 November 2017

Longest Rams’ winning streak vs Vikings: 3, twice, most recently from 15 October 1978 to 6 October 1985

Most recent Vikings’ road win in series: 7 September 2014 (final score 34-6, at St. Louis)

Most recent Rams’ home win in series: 30 November 2003 (final score 48-17, at St. Louis)

Biggest Vikings’ road win in series: 28 points, twice (34-6 on 7 September 2014, 38-10 on 11 October 2009, both at St. Louis)

Biggest Rams’ home win in series: 36 points, 22 September 1967 (final score 39-3)

    Current streak: Vikings, 5 wins

Yes, the Vikings have run off quite the successive number of wins against the Rams, having matched their longest streak against the blue and yellow in team history. They got their fifth straight last season at U.S. Bank Stadium, when the Rams marched down the field for a touchdown on their first drive and didn’t dent the scoreboard after that. The game went into the fourth quarter tied at 7-7, but the Vikings exploded for 17 fourth quarter points, including a 65-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Adam Thielen to ice it, winning by a final score of 24-7.

The last time that the Vikings had to travel to face the Los Angeles Rams came back on 29 November 1992. (The Rams didn’t move to St. Louis until 1995, but after this one the Vikings didn’t play them again until 1998.) In this one, first-year head coach Dennis Green took his team into Anaheim Stadium to face the Chuck Knox-led Rams. Terry Allen found the end zone three times that afternoon, twice on the ground and once through the air on a 36-yard touchdown pass from running back Keith Henderson on a trick play. The Vikings took a 21-point lead into the fourth quarter, and that was enough as they walked away with a 31-17 victory.

In fact, if we want to find the last time the Vikings lost a game to the Rams in Los Angeles, we have to go back over 30 years. The Wayback Machine would have to take us back to 6 October 1985, when John Robinson’s 4-0 Rams hosted Bud Grant’s 3-1 Vikings (after the one season where Les Steckel screwed things up so bad that Bud was the only one that could fix it). It was a defensive battle, as all of the first half scoring came on two Rams field goals to give them a 6-0 lead. Eric Dickerson then scored a touchdown in the third quarter to make it 13-0. The Vikings mounted a bit of a comeback, scoring on a Ted Brown touchdown run and a Jan Stenerud field goal, but it wasn’t quite enough as the Rams held on to win 13-10.

That’s a brief look at some of the regular season history between the Vikings and the Rams as we prepare for Thursday night’s game in LA. We’ll have more for you as we get closer to kickoff.
