Predictions are always ridiculous, but just for fun,
go ahead and make one. Go on the Record.
Take your best guess. If your prediction is within plus or minus
one game of the actual result at the end of the season — you will NOT be banned.Alrighty then:
1 Rams 11-5
2 49ers 11-5
3 Cardinals 9-7
4 Seahawks 9-7Yes. Rams win the division.
I really think they have pulled even with SF. The DLine. OMG.
I haven’t seen a DLine like this since the 70’s-80’s.Also, ya know what? — I like the way the secondary looks. I like the rookies
and free agents they picked up.w

And people need to know what being banned means here…remember, it means you can never leave.
They win all 3 division home games.
4 of 5 non-division home games.
3 out of 5 non-division road games.
That comes out to 22-7.
No wait no it doesn’t.
It comes out to 10-6.
Still a young team. But they will be tough. More so later in the season but still.

July 23, 2014 at 2:10 pm #2288TackleDummyParticipantI would say that there is a 99% chance the Rams will wind up between 6-10 and 12-4. Both extremes very unlikely.
I put the percentage between 8-8 and 10-6 to be 50%.
That makes the most likely outcome 9-7. And I think the Rams are more likely to be above that mark than below.
This year’s Rams are hard to predict. They are very young and it is not known how much they will improve from last year. The Rams are in the best division in football. So much depends on how well they compete within the division. Whatever the Rams do this year, they will be a better team in 2015.
July 23, 2014 at 3:27 pm #2296NERamParticipantI agree with Zack. 😉
10-6.
11-5 is too lofty a goal. Yer setting yerself up for hand wringing, bitter disappointment and November pastry making classes.
Rein it in a bit; you’ll be a happier person.
July 23, 2014 at 4:38 pm #2311WinnbradParticipant9-7. They gotta cut down on penalties and turnovers. This division is brutal when teams make mistakes.
July 23, 2014 at 4:54 pm #2325c1ramParticipantI see 8-8 when considering this division and still not entirely confident the QB/WR connections – especially mid-range – will be solidified this enough to make serious moves on SF and SEA this year.
July 23, 2014 at 5:13 pm #2342nittany ramModerator10-6 plus wildcard game victory.
July 24, 2014 at 2:15 am #2380Eternal RamnationParticipant12-4 we take division. We are rising and I’m just going to enjoy the ride like I always do!
July 24, 2014 at 8:00 am #2385PA RamParticipantYes–9-7 seems to be a very reasonable prediction. Vegas seems to have them at an over/under of 7.5 so they expect pretty much last year’s season.
I–ever the optimist–see better.
But will 9-7 make the playoffs?
I don’t think so.
So this season could be exciting, encouraging and fun. But the fun will probably end come playoff time as a weak division team sneaks in for the last wild card at 10-6.
That’s my prediction. I’m sticking to it. At least until the first pre-season game.

July 25, 2014 at 1:21 am #2459Ram RockParticipantIf the Rams stay healthy, and play more disciplined penalty and turnover wise, I see the overall talent taking them to a 11-5 record. However, if they get hit by the injury bug, remain kinda undisciplined, and the talent doesn’t take off as it should, they could be a 7-9 team again.
That being said. I feel, as Wv feels – 11-5 baby! Also NFL surprise team of the year by winning the toughest division in football – NFC West!
Later my friends…
July 25, 2014 at 2:15 pm #2484TrenchRamParticipant9-7, and that feels optimistic at this point. Both the secondary and the WRs have starters who IMO still need to prove that they belong in the NFL. There’s no depth in the secondary and very little proven depth at LB. With their schedule, they need to win a lot early if they’re going to have a winning record and there’s so much that could lead to a slow start: Long and Bradford returning from injury, new DC, inexperienced secondary, Bailey’s suspension, Robinson learning to pass block. I know that I’m going to be reading the camp reports with more anticipation this year than any year in a long time. There are so many guys who *could* make the leap in ways that will take this team to the next level, but how many can really expect to do it and do it early.
I don’t really buy in to the “they need to make the playoffs this year” hype. I can imagine a 7-9 or – with a couple of key injuries – even a 6-10 season that I would feel good about and that would leave me very optimistic heading into 2015. Snisher has a plan. The DLine is stellar and deep; the OL and RBs are on their way there, and the LB unit is improving. I like how they drafted for the secondary, and – while I expect the unit to be fairly serious weakness in the coming season – I also think that it will probably be very good with another year of experience and drafting. When that happen – whether it’s this year or next – this is going to be a very tough team to score against, and that will let this O play the game that it’s built for. I just think it’s more likely to be next year.
July 26, 2014 at 7:30 pm #2617cgsuddeathParticipantI feel that 11-5 is attainable but more like 10-6.I have a strange feeling Seattle and SF aren’t going to be as tough as people think they are.30&31 ranked pass offense is going to be exposed. The NFC championship told me a lot about Kaepernick.Crabtree was playing and he still look inaccurate to me.As for Wilson,I don’t think that he will withstand the scrutiny.

Yeah I don’t either.
First, I think Fisher has 5 years. (Which really means 4 because he will want an extension.)
2nd, I don’t think there’s a “reach this pinnacle or die” mentality. As long as this is clearly a good team heading the right direction, I think there’s leeway with the record, depending on the circumstances.

LaramI who for years has been considered the board doom and gloomer expect much more than that.
My expectations are much higher than yours which is a reversal of fortunes, isn’t it?
10–6, if the Rams do not hit that mark Fisher should be fired IMO.
This team has talent, and enough talent to scheme around a few deficiencies.
——-
I’m strictly looking at this roster, as I have done every year. The talent is there.———-
Even with Long and Wells out, and Kellen Clemens at qb they blew out some teams and surpassed expectation IMO.This year they are in much better shape to withstand that with Joseph, Robinson and Barnes with another year of seasoning.
Both Seattle and Arizona’s lines were train wrecks last season.
Anyway I saw something in the Carolina game last year. A play action pass offense might just be the ticket for Bradford.
Good = NFL level IMO.
He can certainly be that.
This is gonna be fun.
