from https://theramswire.usatoday.com/lists/rams-snap-counts-week-4-giants-okoronkwo/
For the first time this season, Samson Ebukam was out-snapped by an edge rusher not named Leonard Floyd. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo played nine more snaps than Ebukam, while even Justin Hollins pushed him for playing time with only one fewer snap. Floyd remains the top outside linebacker, but we could see a new starter next week with Okoronkwo replacing Ebukam. All of the edge rushers played pretty well against the Giants.

Next week is big for the Rams. If they can take care of business at Washington, they’ll be 4-1, having made three cross-country trips in five weeks. That would be about as good as it gets. Early Vegas line has Rams as 9-point favorites.Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
The NFL will review the Ramsey-Tate situation for possible discipline, though suspensions aren’t expected. They could be fined by the league.Cooper Kupp@CooperKupp
Always take the W, but so much to improve on. Week 5 let’s get it!Obviously, we’d like to be 4-0, but we obviously feel good about being 3-1. By no means are we going to undersell the fact that we walked off this field with a W, but at the same time kind of a bad taste in our mouth just in terms of an offense in terms of how we executed today. The good thing is I’m very excited to get back in the building and watch the film and learn from it. I know because of the guys that we have, the coaches that we have, there’s going to be no shortage of improvement made from being able to watch this film and it’s great that we’re able to do this coming off the field with a W and not a loss. There’s something to be said about getting the job done, but by no means is this the standards we have for ourselves.
October 5, 2020 at 11:47 am #122229znModeratorThe Bills first touchdown yesterday was a route concept Sean McVay first ran in 2018! (Also oddly enough in week 4) Love when concepts carry over between teams. The best OCs don't care where the play came from, only if it works. Bills offense locked in right now. pic.twitter.com/Nuo2KBiVT4

After holding off a last-ditch Giants drive, the Rams are now 28-0 when leading at halftime in the Sean McVay era (since 2017)They remain the NFL’s only team without a single such loss in that span

Just finished watching Rams offense. By far the shortest video of the season (just 57 plays). Before some podcasters start their semi weekly second guessing of the offense and play calling please make sure you give some credit to NYG defense. They played their butts off upfront.Lindsey Thiry@LindseyThiry
Rams LT Andrew Whitworth says, “No question,” this season’s 3-1 start feels better than last season’s 3-1, noting last season felt a bit sloppy and that they fell into some good situations, but they didn’t feel great about execution.TurfShowTimes@TurfShowTimes
Rams are top-5 in both passing offense and passing defenseJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigue
Safety John Johnson says that a part of the Rams’ identity is a “don’t flinch” mentality when things get tough down on the field in-game.Johnson, as we know, is in a vocal leadership role within the defense. One point he brought up – that I think is invaluable in these times – is that team leaders have to be more vocal down the stretch because there is no crowd to keep the energy up in rough moments.

Darious Williams is the first player with 4 INT in his first 7 NFL starts since 2013-14 when Byron Maxwell had 5 with SEA. (Williams 5th was negated by a phantom penalty at DAL last year.) Looks like he’s the first @RamsNFL player to do that since Dre’ Bly in the early 2000s.Reuben Frank@RoobNBCS
Four games in, the Eagles’ defense is #1 in the NFL in sacks, #9 in yards allowed, #5 in yards per play allowed and #5 on third down.October 5, 2020 at 5:35 pm #122260znModerator𝕋𝕠𝕞 – 𝕃𝔸 ℝ𝕒𝕞𝕤@TL_LARams
Anyone kinda feel that after the first drive, where the Rams scored on a TE rush play, that McVay closed up the bag of tricks to save for a later date?BTHRams@BTH_Rams
Eager to watch the All-22, but something that’s clear through four games (which is only a quarter of the season, but big enough of a sample size) is that the Rams simply do not want to have to pass the ball deep downfield.Nothing inherently “good” or “bad” about that, but just in terms of style.
Goff is tied for the least Intended Air Yards in the NFL (the distance the ball travels per attempt).
It’s a systemic refusal which comes from McVay, obviously.
Every team obviously is going to have lower conversion rates for 3rd and long compared to 3rd and short. I don’t know how the Rams compare in that dropoff, but it’s severe obviously.

Also, screen game down, Edwards cannot hit moving targets as well. However, he's been solid otherwise. Noteboom needs to stay healthy. pic.twitter.com/Y4mcuD80gT

I love me some Williams. He’s a great CB2. Always in position, and has some good ball instincts when he breaks, I like how he gets his head around and looks for it. If he keeps playing like this he’s going to put up some good INT numbers too because he’ll keep getting action. You can’t throw at Hill every play.
The secondary has made it pretty tough for teams to pass on them overall (4th overall in the league in passer rating against) and that’s in spite of 50% of the games being without the stud safety they unearthed in Fuller. They’re also sitting 8th in passing yards against and 3rd in passing yards per attempt. The latter tells us teams are dishing that quick and probably because of AD which helps to compensate a bit for our edge rush.
Where we’ve dipped from last season is our run defense. Thing is, the stats are kind of misleading too because they’ve been padded by QB runs due to our poor contain. So IMO we’re a middle of the pack defense in run defense (vice 21st which is where we sit right now in ypc).
Translation to my mind at least is that we lack quality talent at LB. That’s not going to change until the draft if then, so even though it’s early I think this defense will finish in that same 10 to 15 range they’ve been around (we were 17th last season). But we are a tough team to pass on believe it or not which is a good thing to have IF your offense can light up opposing defenses.
Happy to see Obo play well btw. But I don’t trust that he’ll be able to play well game to game vs the better LTs. Keep in mind he drew a rookie LT. So great that he got it done but I wouldn’t make any sweeping decisions just yet. The next LT we face is Geron Christian who could also give us a false sense of security (someone will benefit).
I think Rapp should play WILB for us. Once we get Fuller back I think that happens. Call it a sub if you want, but he should be in there because he has good natural ability to anticipate angles and whatnot and we’re going to need his speed and athleticism vs the running QBs on the schedule particularly the division games. He’d also be better than any LB on the roster.
October 5, 2020 at 9:14 pm #122273AgamemnonParticipantSean McVay says there is a “possibility” (and seemed positive while saying it) that OLB Terrell Lewis comes off NFI elevation this week and is activated to the 53-man. Probably didn’t want to get too much into it yet because team will have to make a corresponding cut.

Sean McVay post-film-rewatch was great on Sunday synopsis and offered some insight on Darrell Henderson (who is healthy, FWIW). Will transcribe that shortly because twitter will not do it justice.
