Maybe the most shameful and embarrassing performance by the Rams under Sean McVay’s regime. Putrid, and it only gets tougher moving down the stretch with this schedule.

    DOWNTOWN RAMS [DTR]@DowntownRams
This team needs to go back to the recipe that won them the games they won in the latter portion of the season. Run the football. They couldn’t be stopped last year with CJ and Gurley.

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
Edwards has moved to RT and Shelton at RG.

Doesn’t matter at this point as Goff throws a game-ending INT.

Second half starts on an ugly note to be sure.

We said it at the beginning of the season. There is where the season would be won or lost. Here we are.

Rams fans can turn their rooting interest to Dallas, because if the 6-3 Vikings win tonight, things are going to look significantly more dire.

The offense is a mess and Jared Goff can’t make up for the line’s struggles. The Rams are not in good shape, even if the defense is.

Hats off to the Pittsburgh Steelers defense. They shut down the Rams today and only gave up 3 points. The Rams could not block their front. Rams gave up 4 sacks, had numerous holding penalties and went 1/14 on 3rd down. Vintage Steel Curtain.

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
#Rams OL Austin Blythe: “(Offense) let the defense down today”

I asked Sean McVay if O-line/O-line injuries/disruption affects play calling: “It does”

    Los Angeles Rams UK@LARams_UK
That was Sean McVay’s first loss against an AFC team in the regular season as Rams HC.

Picked a pretty bad time for it.

    ESPN Stats & Info@ESPNStatsInfo
The Steelers had 4 takeaways today & have at least 2 takeaways in 8 consecutive games, their longest streak since 1989 (also 8 straight).

Also, Minkah Fitzpatrick has an INT in 3 straight games, the longest streak by a Steelers player since Troy Polamalu had 4 straight in 2008.

    Brought Back the Rams@LosAngelesRams
Not getting the ball to Cooper Kupp in a game for the first time in his NFL career is absolutely unacceptable.

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
He had four targets. #Steelers gave him the All-Pro treatment. Goff had very little time to scan field – which takes away one of Goff’s greatest strengths.

    Russell Small@brewnnut
I’m so tired hearing about McVay and his decisions regarding Gurley.

    Vincent Bonsignore@VinnyBonsignore
That is not what’s going on

Todd wants to be out there. He wants the rock. Sean would love to feed it to him. Often. The harsh reality of football/injury has sabotaged that.

The #Rams two biggest issues – working around pitch count plan on Todd Gurley & a revamped & now injured offensive line – reared their ugly head again.

    Here’s how the #LARams finished Week 10 up front…

    LT: Whitworth

LG: Corbett (LA debut; acquired 3 weeks ago)

    C: Blythe (started at LG)

RG: Shelton (LA debut; former undrafted; claimed off waivers)

RT: Edwards (rookie 5th Rd; made 3rd career start, at RG, today)

    Rich Eisen@richeisen
Cooper Kupp is only the third player in the Super Bowl Era to catch over 200 yards one game and then zero yards the next.

The others: Titans Kenny Britt in 2010 and fellow Ram Ron Jessie in 1976.

    Thanks,
    @NFLResearch

PFF ReFocused: Pittsburgh Steelers 17, Los Angeles Rams 12
    https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-10-pff-refocused-pittsburgh-steelers-17-los-angeles-rams-12

    LOS ANGELES RAMS
The Rams’ best defensive play of the night came when Aaron Donald and Clay Matthews beat blocks quickly and sacked Rudolph for a safety. Steelers’ David DeCastro and Zach Banner never stood a chance.

Taylor Rapp made some impressive tackles for short gains in run support and tackled McDonald for a loss after his catch. Nickell Robey-Coleman punched the ball out of Washinton’s hands, and the ball was recovered by Cory Littleton.

Goff once again didn’t get much time to throw from his offensive line, who struggled mightily to block the Steelers in one-on-one situations and stunts. The game ended ironically with a clean pocket for Goff, who just made a poor decision as he threw an interception that sealed the win for Pittsburgh.

Cooper Kupp had a quiet night, and the Rams’ passing game sputtered to a halt as a result. Todd Gurley produced good yardage with a number of big holes, but the run game was not a common theme for the Rams tonight.
