I am skeptical. It means more trees used for more manufacturing purposes, which is the big issue, plus right now, on the smaller end of real concerns, we don’t know how it ages. Glass and the chemical versions of glass we usually use isn’t organic so it doesn’t age. What happens to organic forms of transparent window material when it ages?

I wondered that, too. Likelihood of turning yellow? And how many manufacturing emissions from this process?

I used to work as a Fact Checker at Parenting Magazine in San Francisco. I was an Intern. That means my stipend did not cover the cost of the parking tickets I acquired while working inside the building, try as I might to move my car every three hours. SF parking cops are ruthless.

Anyway…the Editor-in-Chief, a white wine-sloshing Sausalito liberal, loved this kind of cute wordplay that naturally drove me crazy because…because this isn’t Oscar Wilde wordplay. This is Dave from 6th grade wordplay, the kid who genuinely thought he was hilarious.

Well…from time-to-time, I was allowed to scoop up ten times my weekly stipend by writing a 200-word appetizer for the lightweight crapfest that occupied space between the Table of Contents and and the actual entree part of the magazine. I’d be assigned a little something about the free teddy bear program in a pediatric ward, or the 8-year old girl that swam the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge, or whatever.

Then I met the project that doomed me: the CIA opened a Day Care center for employees’ kids at the Langley, VA headquarters.

This article pissed him off so much, that he personally rewrote it, and asked his secretary how much longer my internship lasted, and that was the end of my magazine career.

Looking back on it now, seems pretty mild. I think it was the Big Brother thing. But he gutted the whole thing.

Did anybody see anything on that fumble call on Kroft? The only time I saw it referenced was in a CBS article that stated it as uncontroversial fact. Looked to me like that was not a TO.

Hacking up the 3rd and 22 was a killer. That is what sticks with me now more than the pass interference penalty. Yeah, that PI should not have been called. The final time I saw it, it looked like it could have been call offensive PI, actually, but there should not have been a flag on that either way. But that 3rd and 22 was…you have to make that stop.

I don’t like the lack of pass rush this year so far, although they did suddenly start getting it in the 4th quarter. And giving up 4.8 yds/carry has to change. Then there were multiple blown coverages. The defense just did not play well until the 4th quarter, and didn’t look good against Philly, either.

The offense looks pretty good, though. Goff still isn’t good under pressure, but their rushing attack is looking solid, and that gives Goff more time in the pocket. One thing I find encouraging about the OL, though, is that they held Goff up pretty well even when the Bills were in a position to play the pass because the Rams HAD to throw. No Van Jefferson siting today, but Reynolds made his presence felt. Kupp and Woods are just…like…good WRs to have on the team.

Sloman is going to cost the Rams a game. I had more confidence in that bartender guy.

They shoulda won that game, but that was an affordable loss, and posting a comeback like that has to be good for the confidence of the team. If there is such a thing as a good loss, that was it. Nobody got hurt. It was against the AFC. Back-to-back looooong road trips. Inspiring comeback, not just by the offense, but by the defense, too, until the last drive. Given it was 28-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter, I will take that outcome. It was looking far, far worse.
