Matthew Stafford is playing some of the best ball of his career right now. He’s been surgical so far. A head-scratching decision or two but that’s not unusual. Some of these throws are so high-level.Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
like, some of the best throws I’ve seen by anyone in the league this year. It’s unfortunate his numbers don’t reflect how well he’s playing right now.Of the QBs that have caught my eye when focusing on the trenches over these first four games, Stafford has been the most impressive 'thrower' of the football that I've seen. He's on FIRE. https://t.co/BiiclDaS2O

znModeratorFishkiller@FV_Mylia_LynnHUGE test on Sunday. The Eagles have the best DL/OL combo in the NFL. The Rams OL has a major challenge ahead of them on Sunday.
znModeratorIs Matthew Stafford a Hall of Famer? π€
On this week's @AroundTheNFL's Game Rewatch, the guys discussed that topic while viewing the OT win for the @RamsNFL.

znModeratorZac (Indianapolis Rams)@ZacMaierStafford has had the following WRs. Calvin Johnson – Most Receiving Yards in a Season Cooper Kupp – Triple Crown Winner Puka Nacua – Only Rookie to have 39 Receptions for 501 yards in his first 4 games QBs don’t make WR great…but can make them Elite.
znModeratorThe Rams are EXACTLY where everyone expected them to be: 4th overall in total offense through 4 weeks. Their upcoming opponent so happens to be 5th overall.
Couple that with an over/under of 50.5 total points predicted by Vegas. Going to be a damn shoot-out. pic.twitter.com/uxPIpP2Tc6

znModeratorBlaine Grisak@bgrisakTSTThe Rams defense is allowing an average passer rating this season of 79.3. This ranks eighth in the NFL.
znModerator.@RamsNFL @AaronDonald97 is terrorizing opposing offenses. Lots of new faces on Rams defense and they are getting pretty good as a group but AD99 is still in a category by himself. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/7HVpJUkbY6

znModeratorMatthew Stafford made some of the best throws of the week on his first drive against the Colts.
Credit to Puka for catching in traffic but there are very few quarterbacks that he would be putting up theses numbers with. pic.twitter.com/My1FDdHR6y

znModeratorRonnie Rivers had an impressive Sunday and is earning the coaches confidence as a player they can rely on behind K. Williams
Rivers is showing great technique in pass protection and has great patience & wiggle as a runner. I see some Brian Westbrook in his style pic.twitter.com/imeYu14IVF

znModeratorTed Nguyen@FB_FilmAnalysisAnthony Richardson leads the league in explosive play rate (runs of 12+ yards and passes of 20+ yards).

znModeratorI thought Puka Nacua was DANI DANI ROJAS!
I don’t know the show so the reference was lost on me till I looked it up.
znModeratorThey discuss Nacua at 2:10 in. It’s a good one.
znModeratorImagine if the Rams had drafted Stafford in 2009 instead of Bradford in 2010.
Lions picked first in 2009, as we know.
Rams picked 2nd that year. And they took…drumroll…Jason Smith.
znModeratorNoteboom played fairly well at LOT.
I wonder what it’s like to be one of those many NFL teams who have only one starting caliber LOT on the roster.
Must be tough.

Only 14 wide receivers have more than 80 “run-blocking snaps” via PFF. Puka Nacua is one of them. Nacua and Zay Flowers are the only rookies on that list.Among those 14 WRs, Puka Nacua’s 75.2 run-blocking grade ranks 2nd behind Josh Reynolds and ahead of Amon-Ra St. Brown.
znModeratorbest olineman since rodger saffold?
I assume you mean best interior OL cause, Whitworth.
But yes best interior OL since Saffold–and, as good as Saffold was at guard, Avila is already showing he can do some things you would never ask Saffold to do (things on the move, out in the 2nd level).
Last year btw Saffold was a starting guard for Buffalo. Where, coincidentally, the OL coach is Aaron Kromer. (And in fact that’s where the Rams superb new OL coach, Ryan Wendell, coached last year–he was an assistant to Kromer).
As a Rams fan, I am stocked deep with OL history trivia. π
znModeratorBlaine Grisak @bgrisakTSTSince Kyren Williams became the starting running back in Week 2, the Rams running game ranks fifth in success-rate.
znModeratorBlaine Grisak @bgrisakTSTKevin Dotson was the third-highest graded guard in run-blocking according to Pro Football Focus. Allowed just one pressure in pass protection.
znModeratorJAKE ELLENBOGEN@JKBOGEN#Rams corner duo Derion Kendrick and Ahkello Witherspoon are 2nd and 3rd respectively in reception percentage when targeted. Only MJ Emerson has a better one. These two continue to tear it up.
znModeratorStu Jackson@StuJRamsI asked Rob Havenstein postgame yesterday what it does for an offense when their quarterback has the kind of mentality Matthew Stafford had yesterday in terms of pushing through something. His response explained exactly why teammates will always go to battle for Stafford.
znModeratorJourdan Rodrigue@JourdanRodrigueRams CB Ahkello Witherspoon talked today about the clearly defined and aggressive coverage philosophy deployed this season as something that drew him to signing in LA. -
