Super Bowl LXI at end of 2026 season will be played at SoFi Stadium. Does Matthew Stafford anticipate he will still be playing for Rams? “I have no idea,” he said. “That’s a long way away.”

After ranking first among NFL defensive tackles in pressures throughout his career, in 2023 Aaron Donald has fallen all the way to … … first among NFL defensive tackles in pressures (56, per Next Gen stats).

    Washington

Defense: 32nd in yards, 32nd in points, 32nd in YPA passing, 22nd in YPA rushing, 19th in sack %

Offense: 16th in yards, 23rd in points, 25th in YPA passing, 6th in YPA rushing

Which defenses are 1st and 2nd in sack percentage btw? Cleveland and Baltimore, respectively. Against the Rams, Baltimore had 10 pressures and Cleveland had 5. Rams will have all day to throw on Washington, and will be able to run well on top of it.

Is there such a thing as a letdown near the end of the season when a team is in the playoff hunt and every game counts?

    Rams setting the tone

McVay makes the Likes section for a second week in a row because the Rams once again found ways to score points against an elite defense. The Rams scored 34 points last week primarily through explosive pass plays. The game plan against the Ravens this week was to run right at them early and often. McVay started the game by calling nine runs in a row.

The “Cook Index” is measured by “how frequently teams pass the ball on first and second downs in the first 28 minutes of regulation, before time remaining and score differential influence run-pass tendencies.” Against the Ravens, the Rams had their lowest Cook rate of the season. By running the ball with efficiency, Los Angeles avoided getting into third-and-long situations and didn’t have to deal with the Ravens’ exotic pressure schemes. Nine of their 16 third downs required getting six or less yards.

The Rams made a philosophical switch in the offseason. They went from being a zone run team to primarily a gap run scheme. They wanted to be more physical and it paid off against the Ravens. McVay leaned on Duo, a gap scheme run that emphasizes vertical double teams at the point of attack. Though the Rams ended up losing the game in overtime, it showcased McVay’s ability to continually reinvent himself and this offense.

Stafford’s pocket manipulation, arm angles, anticipation and tight window throwing are legit absurd every week and the attention to em doesn’t match that

Among quarterbacks with at least 40 attempts, Matthew Stafford is one of four quarterbacks not to throw an interception in the red zone. He has 14 TDs to 0 INTs. Stafford’s completion percentage in the red zone however is the third worst.

The Rams are rolling with Lucas Havrisik. They released Mason Crosby from the practice squad today, so Havrisik is the lone kicker in LA. They also put Hunter Long and Alex Ward on injured reserve

Well, most Rams fans are hoping the RAMS are in the Super Bowl, but you do you.

If there’s one thing this season has taught us fans, it’s that the Rams —>*suck*<— at tanking.

They have absolutely no idea how to do it.

None whatsoever. Not a single clue. Nothing.

AI can’t write papers. With a paper you phrase the question in such a way that you have to be familiar with the class issues to respond. Plus I deliberately come down hard on methods and approaches and styles that don’t fit what we’re doing. I am very specific about that. AI writing in this context is very easy to recognize, and if you can’t trace it and prove plagiarism, no matter–invariably AI writing is going to do things I openly and clearly and very specifically don’t allow.

Yeah probably. I want to see how his blocking looks.

definitely too early but i think at the very least he’ll be getting more opportunities as the end of the season approaching. and not just throw away games. every game will be important ones.

Well we’ll find out. Higbee is coming back, presumably, but Hall is out for the season (knee) and for reasons that are completely unclear, Hopkins is a constant healthy inactive on game day. So Allen will apparently be on the field a lot.
